There are a few positives about this campground - the site was level, there were bathrooms and showers, and we had full hookups. This campground was the worst we stayed in during a multi week trip, which was very disappointing considering it was the most expensive per night. In summary, the staff were rude; the amenities outdated; the showers were tiny unless you used the accessible one; the site was dirt rather than gravel, which left us in a muddy mess when it rained. We were unable to select our own space when we made the reservations in February for a September trip, which initially resulted in us being assigned a space without sewer hookups for a week long stay. We were fortunately able to correct that by phone before arrival. The majority of spaces in the campground seemed to be for seasonal reservations. While some spaces were maintained quite well, others were not. We felt as though we were staying in a mobile home park versus a campground, which was disappointing to us.During the day, the staff were very diligent about access to the campground in order to ensure all campers and visitors had paid the necessary fees for entry. If there was security after dark, it was not apparent.

I love this camping, my grandkids had a lot fun, its activities for everyone.I want to mention about the guy, I forgot his name, he is the one who does all the crafts and bingo. He is amazing and the two ladies Vicky inside the store, she was very knowledgeable and good manners to explain to us and answered all the questions. To finally I want to give a 5*** for Caron, she was at the entrance and she welcome everyone with a great smile, and very polite too. You guys doing amazing!

The campground is nice. We have family staying there and will most likely stay with our camper next year. Only complaint is the visitor policy. We wanted to come for an hour or two to sit by our families fire and they wanted to charge us. $30 “visitors pass”. I could understand paying a fee if we planned on using the arcade, pool or any other campground attractions but we literally wanted to just visit with family for a couple hours for dinner.

Just finished our stay. The place is clean. Unfortunately there isn’t much to do for children. There are only a few activities scheduled during the weekend but not enough to keep kids busy. There is nothing scheduled during the week. All of the courts need to be updated - they are all cracked and uneven leaving them left with puddles after they rain. The playgrounds need some updating. The workers who watch you in the pool bad mouth the campers to the seasonals. The visitor rate is through the roof. $15 pp even if they are coming for a short visit -after 7pm - is ridiculous. The rates should be prorated, especially if the guests are not staying the night. The only other positive is you are at the Cape!

The place itself was mediocre at most. Weak water pressure, cable channel line-up is a joke, smelly men’s bathroom. Highly advertised dog park is a joke and always closed. Aggressive dog policy is not being enforced. Considering that the campground is far away from all the local “attractions” it was pretty expensive. The staff was professional and accommodating until it was time to check out. I misplaced a visitor’s sticker with my camp site number which really upset the lady at the front desk. She inquired about the type of RV I have and after I provided her with the info she really got mad at me and advised that this is not a RV but a motor home. Then she went to speak with another employee and I overheard her badmouthing me for no particular reason. May be she had a bad day at that time, I don’t know. What was so upsetting about calling a motor home a RV lol? I confronted the employee that she spoke with but he tried to “fix” the situation to the best of his abilities and I’m very thankful to him for being a true professional. And the lady at the front desk should take a crash course in customer support asap and stop giving her employer a bad reputation. I would not recommend this site to anyone.UPDATE. In response to whomever replied to my review. No, we did not confuse Bay View Campground with any other. You could of easily checked my reservation in your little system. 260 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne, MA 02532. Nice try. Instead of addressing real issues with your staff as well as the facilities you chose to reply with some gibberish which proves my point once again. Sometimes when you have nothing good to say, it makes sense not to say anything at all. Do a better job in maintaining your facilities and invest in some customer service training for your staff. Then and only then you might deserve a better rating. Apparently there are much better camping choices in the area, I learned it the hard way. I hope people will read this review and do their homework on your establishment. Changing my review from 2 stars to 1.

This place is by far the best experience we had in a long time. We had no luck finding a place to camp same day we call, they were the last number on my list and I regret it wasnt the first number. They accepted us over the phone with no problem. We were welcomed at the entrance with such family love. They gave us lot 9 to camp over night in the tent with our daughters. It was clean and prepared for us. I really want to thank the main host of the campground, the beautiful woman pool host. She did nothing but made our family feel welcomed. She made that campground feel like home. You guys better not let her go!! ☺☺ To he honest she is the face of the campground other than the staff upfront. 🥰🥰I want to thank you all for giving our family such a fun experience. From your friends in Worcester 😁😁😁😁

We bought the camper in May, used it numerous times and this is the nicest campground we have been to in Massachusetts so far. The sites are private, spacious, fairly level and they each have a large stone fire pit. As soon as someone pulls out of a site, they are in there tidying up and cleaning out the fire pit. The pools are large and well maintained. They even had a great live band on Saturday night. You would never have to leave the grounds to have a good time but it is located near several nice beaches.

Very nice people, place is very clean. This campground is almost my backyard. My sister stayed here for a long weekend and I stayed with her one night. The people that work here are the nicest people I have ever met. My sister loves this place, she has a seasonal spot at a campground near her house but still likes to camp elsewhere a couple of times a year. She bought a second camper. It cost me about $50 Bucks to visit all three days but you dont keep a campground this clean for nothing.

Family oriented. Sites are wooded. Many seasonal sites. Pools and play areas looked great. All areas practice social distancing. Extremely clean. Most sites are large with fireplaces. We had full hookup 30 amp. Sewer set up a bit screwy. Water also set up way back on site. We had some neighbors who burned wet wood all day, causing smoke to hang heavily and made for unpleasant day.

Charming campground. We live on Cape Cod but wanted to kind of have a getaway in our own backyard. The campground itself is about half an hour or so from where we live. We set up and everything was easy. The pools were clean, the staff was incredibly friendly. We are really looking forward to coming back again.Note, this was during the phase two reopening during COVID-19. THE STAFF HAS BEEN EXCEPTIONAL. Everyone is following the guidelines carefully, and theres no drama. all of the campers have been very accommodating as well understanding that there are restrictions in place that need to be followed.

First camping trip in this “Covid” era.. we normally go out of state but this year, plans changed last minute due to complicated rules for traveling to Maine. So, I place a call to Bay View. The young lady that answered the phone was cheery and helpful, we have never stayed here before so that call made me hopeful for a great time... we have 2 days left here and so far.... we have NOT been disappointed! This place is clean and spacious! We have 2 sites ( our friends are right next to us) and we are enjoying ourselves. There is a nice dog park on site and a good size dog walk area. The trash area is by the main gate which is nice because you don’t get the early morning trash truck noise bouncing through to multiple trash sites like some parks. The only trick here is getting in or out due to rt28 being a racetrack, but that’s no fault of Bay View. We will definitely return !Thank you Bay View for a great week!

After a decade I’ve decided to leave BV. What was once a family oriented campground is nothing but a disappointment. I will not get into the past couple years of issues however only will speak of this season. We paid for a season of “family camping” at your “family campground“ only to be quarantined to our site because of the pandemic. Understandable! You opened your pools, ice cream shop, and food truck when it’s not safe to be within 6’ of people. Opening pools so kids can play when the reality of kids staying 6’ apart is impossible because they don’t understanding. Hope you realize you put people’s lives at risk and only added to the spread of covid because of your lack of safety. Employees who don’t wear masks, I have pictures of your food vendor not wearing masks while serving food. Why would you not offer something to individuals or individuals who are frontline workers? I’m not just speaking for myself but others as well. The frontline workers who can’t get time away. Instead we are taking care of family members just like yours and mine due to this pandemic. We paid an absorbent amount for this season of “family camping” and there is no such thing happening there. Understanding all the rules that were put into place they were hardly ever followed. I’ve been separated from my family so they are not at risk. The reality of my kids and I having a weekend getaway is slim to none. Great job on taking care of the very people who keep roofs over your head and food on your table. Very happy to be moving on to another campground that actually cares for there seasonal campers and does not let money get in the way of what’s important. The health, safety, and caring ownership who values people, not money! To those reading this I have the follow up emails BV sent me with the lack of acknowledging issues nor has solutions. To put it simply the emails I received were “fluff” and how much they have done to keep people safe. Nothing but money hungry people who only care for themselves. Not all stories are alike and I’m sure many people out there have had great times there. This is simply my observation and raw reality how this “family owned and operated” company cares for there seasonal and transit campers. Be safe*****UPDATE*****You forgot to mention you gave me less than 24 hours to make a decision to leave. It was impossible for me to leave work and clean out my entire site after 10 years of camping. Remember, I was dealing with families who were loosing there mothers, fathers, and loved ones just like yours and mine. The only refund I asked about was a refund for one of my children because he was high risk and never once came down. You denied and said I should have done it in the beginning of the season. How could I predict what was going to happen when the entire World didn’t know what the next steps were going to be. We can keep going back and forth and that’s fine. Sometimes we need to acknowledge we made a mistake and do everything we can to make it right. After all I helped keep food on your table for 10 years. I don’t believe in excuses I believe in solutions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our campsite! Only three minor complaints: our connections are towards the middle of our 36’ TT, and all of their hookups (at our site anyway) were all the way in the back. Centrally located park with a camping feel. The sites are all dirt and sand in a heavily wooded area. The park has a nice pool, playground, shuffle board and also the standard amenities. They have security at the entrance, cable at each site and their wifi worked well for us. The problem with the park is the traffic in the area caused by the Bourne bridge and the entrance to the park is extremely hazardous.
