Ive never seen such negative reviews but honestly its deserved. This company is hard to work with, their site is hard to navigate, and they are not up front about their services. Please avoid.

If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible!!!! First of all for a surgery 6 months ago they still havent sent me the proper forms to fill out for the provider. When I asked to just email them to me.... THEY SENT ME SOMEONE ELSES INJURY REPORT. Now I have been waiting for a serious surgery for weeks and it is scheduled for Monday... today is Friday, at ten minutes to 5 they deny my surgery. They say its based on not having 3 months of conservative treatment. Ive had 6 months of conservative treatment with doctors notes that were submitted!!! Horrible, Terrible, no good, bunch of money hungry urg!!! Now I have to wait for an appeal or peer to peer, several more weeks for crazy pain. I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy!!

Not sure the point of paying for coverage, they dispute everything. If your “trusted” medical provider says he needs and MRI of a hand so he knows what he will encounter during surgery - I’d either trust him or stop calling him “trusted”. To say I need an x-ray first (clearly unnecessary as the growth is not attached or near a bone) to prevent an “unnecessary” MRI is non-sense. I gave up and paid out of pocket which I guess is what Cigna wants. Never seen a stronger case for single payer healthcare than Cigna. At least the logo is pretty.

I would give Cigna 0 stars if they gave me the option. Did not schedule a peer to peer phone appointment with my doctor correctly. So, now I have to wait an additional 3 weeks to get my knee scoped which is affecting my work and personal life. By far the worst insurance I have ever had and would go on my own if my employer didnt provide this company. Complete shame and utter disappointment in this company.

This was the worst health care plan I have ever been on. I’ve had to dispute over the past year almost every single doctors visit and bill that I was given. Working with them is brain damage. I would rather not have health insurance then work with them! Highly recommend you find somebody else no matter what the price unless you like asking for brain damage(Even some of the brokers I have worked with have admitted to this) Find somebody else for your own peace of mind!!! If I could give an a -5 I would!

Horrible, corrupt company just out to make a buck. They refuse to help patients, even when they are in error. They dropped my primary care provider shortly after I found out I was pregnant and when I called in for help finding a new doctor, I spoke with a representative who had no idea what he was talking about. I was given the name of an out of network facility, but would be in network later in the summer. When I told Cigna they made a mistake and begged them to make an exception so I could get prenatal care in the interim, they made me submit a Network Adequacy Provision as though I was the one who made the mistake. Then they denied the provision. Apparently pregnancy isn’t a reason to see a doctor.

It’s Monday, I call Cigna (I talk to 10 people to get an answer about my case) to see if they can tell me whether or not my $15,000 CAT scan prescribed by my doctor who sent the request to CIGNA on Saturday will be approve before Thursday because Thursday morning is the CAT scan date, and they tell me:“Your doctor didn’t send the request as urgent therefore we won’t consider the case before the date of the procedure, you’ll have your answer after Thursday even if the procedure will happen on Thursday.”But I’m not upset at them, I’m upset at the corrupt legal system that allows corporations to behave in such a way.

Terrible terrible experience. They do not cover anything. Customer service was so bad. I was told I was covered and when I was injured they said I didnt have insurance because my previous paperwork didnt get filed on time yet no one told me. They said I was eligible for extended enrollment but they were unable to do that at the time. Go with United...at least they cover something.

Worst insurance company to seal with. I own a business and had to get my own insurance.... Ive been dealing with them and Colorado health connect since January 2017. They finally got my dental plan onboard and effective. 8 months later. When I called them to ask if I had dental and whom I should make premium payments to, they would say it hasnt updated yet in our systems. Now they want me to back pay to January. 8 months is what it took them to update my dental plan. Please save yourself be the headache and not go with this company.

Cigna denies every claim for MRIs, CTs, Surgery. Anything that requires precertification, they will deny and it takes weeks to appeal and reverse their decisions. They are a terrible provider and I will never use them again

I have had nothing but issues with this company, they have taken funds without my authorization 4 times now, I have spoken with numerous customer service representatives in your billing department and get a different answer about when my money that was taken without my authorization will be returned to my bank account. I have written regional managers, even David Cordani the CEO of your company to try and get a resolution, it all falls on deaf ears. I have faxed bank statements showing that the funds were indeed taken, and not returned and given no solution to this. I am at a lose at how I can solve your problem you created for me. I have been told its a system glitch, or that my money would be returned to me on the 27th ( today , ten days later) none of that has solved the issue that my money that was taken without my authorization has not been returned. The part that angers me the most is that I am given a different answers from every person I have spoken to. The only answer I want is to have the funds that were taken without my authorization returned to me.
