This Is one of the most hardworking communities Ive had the pleasure to be apart of. Daves love for the art of boxing is extremely contagious, and so is the work ethic of all of the members here. If youve been thinking of stopping by I highly recommend you do so as youll quickly take great pride in working at this facility.

This is the BEST gym EVER! Dave is by far one of the nicest, most badass instructors around. If you are looking to box or just wanting to get in great shape this is the place to go. You wont feel like a client you will feel like a valued friend. I highly recommend this gym to everyone of every skill set.

I joined this gym for the first time in 2013 to get in shape from years as an over the road trucker. It works. Daves gym can be a relaxing place to work out on your own, or an incredibly intense place to learn the sweet science of boxing. Fit for fighting is an excellent class held twice a week. The full contact sparring clinic is held three times a week for those ready to get in the ring. This has been a rewarding experience for me, working with novice, amateur, and professional boxers in 3 minute rounds under Daves supervision. A great place to box, and to train!

Ive been training at Front Range for just over two moths and its been a great experience so far! Dave is one of the best teachers/coaches that Ive met in a long time. I love the gym itself for its old school feel because thats how a boxing gym should be. All the other people Ive met and trained with so far have been very welcoming and fun to work with. Dave is offering kids classes now so any parents interested in training for their kids or themselves should come by and talk with Dave, I promise you wont be disappointed. Chuck Martin

I love this place. Dave (the owner) is the kind of teacher who adjusts how he teaches (and how he encourages) based on what works for you. Hes more concerned with your progress than he is with his own ego. Youll feel that if you work with him.The gym isnt fancy (the old school bit in their tag line is accurate,) but has the heavy, double end, and speed bags you need to train. They used to have two rings, but they took one of them out to make more room for classes. In the back theres all kinds of old weight machines, some free weights, big ropes, a big tire, and probably some stuff I havent found yet.I just know that on the days when I come here after work, I leave feeling good.

Front Range Boxing Academy is an awesome, no-nonsense boxing gym. The type of place that makes you feel like you need to work while youre there. Dave coached me only a month for a golden gloves tournament and in that short amount of time I picked up a great amount of knowledge that I use to this day( Im an amateur fighter). The people are friendly and its a great gym to belong to, mixed in with the expert training available its the boxers gym for sure.

I was a runner in high school and a competitive fencer in college and for several years thereafter. I enjoy hiking and biking and a generally active lifestyle. Nevertheless, I have never in my life been as strong or physically fit as the version of me that has survived a year’s worth of classes at Front Range. Boxing workouts are, hands-down, the best exercise I know, a combination of strength and endurance training that is fortunately so much fun, we often forget how hard it is.While I have discovered back muscles I didn’t know I had and I’ve definitely had to tighten the belt on my work pants a couple notches, I think the thing I like the most about Front Range is that these aren’t the big end-goals of the gym. When female boxers train together, it’s never about “getting skinny,” it’s about getting better at boxing. On the flip side, the bullshit machismo that is so prevalent in this kind of a gym is totally absent at Front Range. This gym seems to foster a real sense of comradery, with every student genuinely ready with help or advice for a beginner, and equally receptive to advice or criticism from other boxers. In that sense, it is a far cry from almost every competitive sport facility I have ever encountered!Boxing at Front Range has been a serious source of stress-relief for me since I moved to Boulder for a new job, and I have made some of my closest friends here while sweating out a few rounds on the heavy bag. I have only positive things to say about this fine institution!

I was intimidated as hell walking into this place. I pictured a bunch of bullys and thugs waiting to punch a new guy who couldnt defend himself. This is not the case. In fact this couldnt be farther from the truth when you are talking about Boxers. What I found here was a ton of nice and encouraging people that are willing to work with you to meet your personal goals. There is a class or workshop EVERY SINGLE DAY including Sundays and weekends where you can meet with trainers and other students, work out and improve your form. YOU NEVER HAVE TO GET PUNCHED to get in shape here. At the same time if competitive Boxing is your goal this is a world class gym run by a man that has won a title in at least two weight divisions. The owner Dave is a very down to earth person who wont BS you. He is about Boxing, strength and conditioning. Not about putting profits before people. Every trainer I have met here is fantastic, and even though they will try to encourage you to push your limits, they dont attempt to push you beyond what you feel is safe or healthy. If you are concerned about self defense or competition this is the most fundamental striking style.I would recommend this place to my mother and my own children. I dont know how I went so long without Boxing. . . . and in answer to the ensuing question. . . No I do not work there.

This is the best boxing gym in the world. Period. Front Range is a boxer’s paradise: a ring, many many bags of all types, weights, and that’s just half of it! This gym has heart and style, and the owner is a maestro of boxing and a true gentleman. Highly recommended for conisseuers of the sweet science!!!

Ive never met a more welcoming gym environment. Everyone tries to help, almost to the point of making boxing a communal experience. They also do a great job of pushing you until you say no, but when the no comes, its respected. This helped me my first few weeks when I was about to break down. Owner Dave Gaudette not only provides excellent, well thought out instruction, but the flavor of the gym as well. Just ask him to tell you about Marvin Hagler, The time he met Ali, or point out one of any number of the old black and white photos on the wall. You wont be disappointed.
