I started going to Ember salon last year. I am really loving the color and cuts Ive been getting from Mimi. I had stopped coloring my hair for a few years because it had become damaged and I thought my well water was making it turn brassy. This is not happening anymore. Mimi has helped my hair become soft and pretty again! Great coloring, cut and care knowledge. All the ladies here are sweet and welcoming. I come down to Boulder from the mountains and Mimi and the other gals always make me feel fresh and beautiful.

The quality of cuts, and coloring, at Ember are excellent. I have been seeing Jamie for years. Never has anyone been able to make my hair look as great as she does. I cannot recommend Ember highly enough.

Amber with Ember is phenomenal! She is a ray of sunshine and very talented. I came in wanting a much shorter length. Amber is the only hairdresser who has really took the time to understand the cut and color I wanted and it came out beautifully! Clare was amazing!!! This was my first time at Ember Salon and I’ll definitely be going back. Clare just understood my vision and style without me having to show her loads of photos or a lengthy consultation. She just got it! Ember Salon is doing our wedding hair/makeup for the ladies so I thought Id try them out for a straight shave. Ive never had one before and I didnt know what I was missing - it was awesome. Most relaxed Ive felt in awhile. Also got a haircut which was great as well. 110% worth checking out for guys looking for a new salon/barber. Jamie did both of mine.

I am new to Boulder and was looking for a hairstylist because I hadnt had my hair cut in 10 months (I know, right!!) when I was introduced to Jamie at Ember Salon. I also hadnt colored my hair in years, but I saw all the beautiful balayage pictures she had posted and wanted to try out a partial balayage just to dip my toes back in to the coloring world.Jamie was INCREDIBLE! She is super knowledgable about hair and takes time to discuss her thoughts and ideas about how to cut and style your hair. She made my long hair look absolutely gorgeous! I have never had a color look so natural and lovely, and the cut was perfect. I will definitely be going back to her. Thank you for such a great experience!!

I thought I had lost my favorite stylist when he up and disappeared around a year ago from a Denver salon HOWEVER!! I then found Ember and Mimi and have never had a better haircut. It was like the universe made things fall apart so better things could come together - and I know how cheesy this sounds because Im literally talking about hair. But a good haircut can MOVE MOUNTAINS! Personally, emotionally, professionally. Thank you for this amazing cut, Mimi, for real. Ill see you soon for balayage! Jamie does an awesome Bayalage treatment. My hair looks amazing! Well worth the money. And they have all the extras you could want as you are getting your hair treatment. I recommend his great little hair salon in Boulder.

Got my hair done by Mimi on Thursday and WOW! Its fantastic. I previously went to a different salon and didnt get what I wanted, but Mimi nailed it. She did a full balayage on me and Im loving these blonde locks. Completely recommend for anyone wanting balayage style services.

The owner, Jamie, and one of the stylists, Mimi, are completely stuck up and rude every time I’ve been in. DO NOT give these people your time or money! No one is above treating people with respect but they sure do think they are. Genuinely terrible people.

I can’t say enough good things about Ember Salon and Jamie Nelson! She has been my hair stylist for years now and I am so thrilled she has opened her own salon. It hasn’t been easy with all the covid stuff this year, but I feel like I can safely go get my hair done and still get pampered by my favorite stylist. As a nurse, self-care is important and safety is even more important to me. Jamie and Amber have done an excellent job meeting and exceeding the safety standards now required due to Covid. You will be greeted by their friendly and welcoming personalities as your temperature is taken at the door, masks are required and worn at all times, and the amount of cleaning and sanitizing happening is impressive. If you’re looking for a top quality hair salon these are your girls! I am a long time client and huge fan of Jamie as my secret weapon to make my hair feel beautiful. Not only is she an expert colorist and so talented to help me with my delicate “thinning hair”. She is truly a god send that has been making me custom hair extensions for over 4 years.She is a true artist, as it takes a very keen eye to creat custom natural extensions, from scratch that blend with my very fine, thin hair and then make sure they are colored to match my hair perfectly, btw my hair has gone from highlights, to ombré to now being a red head, and she has mastered perfectly matched color every time. She always made me feel like I was her favorite client even though It was sometimes 6 months between visits. She is such a warm, kind, and caring person and so truly skilled with her talent, I feel very blessed to have her as my stylist.
