I came to AcuBliss for an eye problem -some form of dermatitis that had been persistent for six months. Amorette has been treating me for about eight weeks now with both acupuncture and Chinese herbs. The red spots from the dermatitis have disappeared. Interestingly, even in the beginning, the red spots from dermatitis would disappear completely with each acupuncture session for periods of time that began to extend. I began to experience some peripheral neuropathy and had read that acupuncture can help with this. During the 12 weeks I was getting chemo, I barely experienced any neuropathy or any bad side effects. Im confident in saying that Amorettes treatments helped me get through chemo with minimal side effects. Toward the end of my chemo infusions, my neuropathy was barely present anymore. What a great experience. Before my treatment with Amorette, Id only tried acupuncture once. It was not a good experience, so I was a little nervous about it. On top of that, I am not fond of needles, so the very idea of acupuncture made me anxious. My first treatment with Amorette was in the middle of the afternoon, and I was high strung from being busy with work. I cannot describe the amount of stress Amorette must have seen in me when I arrived. My eyes were blood shot and my heart rate was through the roof.The overall office setting is really comfortable and inviting. She was thorough with her consultation and I never felt rushed. Knowing I was anxious about the needles, Amorette was careful to show and describe to me what she was doing throughout the whole process. She kept telling me it was okay if I wanted to just take a short nap and shed wake me up when it was time. I was gracious in my never gonna happen response, and never thought in a million years I would have been able to fall asleep. She proved me wrong. I felt this extremely deep relaxation, something I think is likely equivalent to a state of meditation. It was so peaceful I could feel my blood flowing in different parts of my body. I felt like I could actually focus, easily, which, unfortunately, is not the norm for me.
