I reached out and I the practice prior to making my first appointment. I specifically asked them if they contracted with my insurance. I was originally told that they did contract with my insurance carrier Cigna. I found out after the first visit they actually did not. I have numerous emails between the business office supervisor at the Bothell location and myself that they will accept the in network contracted rate. I told them I will go somewhere else and I was asked to please stay the business office supervisor had spoken with Dr. Rooney and he agreed to see me and accept payment from my insurance as an in network provider and payment in full. I was told by the business office supervisor I would not receive a bill at all if I remained their patient. I did receive a bill in June 2019 which I emailed Christine the billing supervisor and her email reply was sorry she is not sure how that was billed she had my account marked “do not bill patient.” 2 years later I have received numerous bills never the same amount. I’ve been billed over $2000.00 on one statement over $3500.00 on another statement and now the most recent over $5000.00. I will now be filing a complaint with the BBB since I am basically getting harassed now and I will reach out to our state commissioner and JCAHO. They have billed consultation visits when I was not referred by another physician it was a self referral which billing a consultation is fraudulent billing if jot referred by a physician. They have also billed me me for numerous level 4 visits which the doctor or Nurse practitioner spent no more than 10 minutes with me more like 5 minutes, no physical exam and minimal history taken. I am a certified coder and no for a fact that is also fraudulent billing practices. They did have me waiting almost 45 minutes to see the provider each visit. If you want a legitimate provider with legitimate billing practices I would suggest turn and walk away as fast as you can.

I had chronic back pain and after receiving the laser procedure on my back, I was pain free! Its been almost 2 years and the pain is still mostly gone. The procedure I had was said to last about a year. Im very happy with the outcome and I will go back again. There is one issue, however. They seem to want to get you in more times than is really needed so they can bill medical insurance more. They said I would be in too much pain to have all of my procedure done at once. As suspected, it would have been fine to have it all done at once. It wasnt very painful. They just wanted 2 different surgeries to bill insurance for. Staff was always nice and professional.

The 1 star is for their Billing department. The actual doctors and the procedures were great and worked. The Billing is another story.. I just received a statement claiming we owed 5 grand for the surgery my husband had 3 YEARS ago. Mind you its a lie. We have abnk statements proving we paid 2500 at the time of surgery amd payments after. I spoke to someone in Billing and she assured me she was going to look into the issue but she never got back to me and instead we got another statement saying I had 10 days or it will go to collections. I will be calling again and letting them know we are going to report them to BBB amd whoever else so this doesnt happen again

Dr Kamson ,Dr Rooney and their team are absolutely wonderful. They are professional, and caring. From the first consultation to my post op visit, I was so well taken care of. Worth every cent. Thank you !!

The doctors are very good and explain what is going on. However, the staff is so slow in getting back to you with a phone call. I find it frustrating that I have to call several times before they get back to me

Spine Institute Northwest has been a blessing for me. Dr. Kamson and his staff performed a stem cell injection procedure on my right knee. I had previous trauma and surgery on the knee but it never fully recovered. One month into the recovery from my injection I feel great and am starting to see results. I am looking forward to the long term benefit of this amazing technology. As for the procedure itself, Dr. Kamson and staff are an all star team that made the process comfortable, easy, and painless. Dr. Kamson and his team of amazing nurses and associates helped out with a knee stem procedure that has totally changed my life. I have had knee pain for years and I can honestly say after the stem cell injection after four weeks, I have seen a noticeable improvement in my overall active lifestyle. I am very grateful for Dr. Kamson and his team he is very professional and I would recommend it for my family and friends. Thank you again for everything.

1 week after 2 disc replacement Im back to work feeling better than I have in 10 years. Thank you Dr. Kamson. miracle man and staff.

They told us to arrive at 930am, upon arriving at 915am there was nobody here to help us check in. Once someone did come the guy who helped us was angry and disrespectful to us. We were handed a pile of paperwork to sign, nobody explained any risk or negative outcomes and when we asked they said we will explain it after. The nurse came out to talk to us to inform us they were not 100% of what surgery they were performing today and would take it one step at a time. I asked what prescriptions needed to be filled so I could go get them while my grandma was in surgery...they told us nothing would be prescribed...I asked what is she to take for pain (she is having spinal surgery), they said she wouldnt be in any pain....she is in a lot of pain. Do not go here. They are rude, disrespectful, and have no idea what they are doing.

If you want to waste your time, Be lied too, and be treated like a drug addict... Then this is the staff for you !3 years of chronic back pain, numerous spinal injections ( 3 with negative results ) pain pills provided by My current doctor that are not doing anything for the pain anymore.. I sought out for some help.. Something different. I goggled laser spine and got these idiots !Im a small business owner and time is money. I called there 1 877 number and was told We can help you. I set up an appointment for 2 1/2 weeks later to give them time to get all my images there.. MRIs X-rays, bone Density scans etc etc. I arrived 20 minutes early for my 9 am appointment knowing there would be paperwork to fill out. Being the only patient in the waiting room at 9:30 I asked why I was still sitting there for my 9 oclock visit ?They put me in another a room for another 15 minutes before a nurse finally came in. I then asked why the hold up ? Is the doctor reviewing my images ? I was then told they still did not have them. (I spent 10 minutes on the phone and had all my images mailed and in my hands 3 days later after this ) So basically I wasted my entire morning.I was told then that they would get them and call me later that day to reschedule.. no one called.I called the next day and was told the doctor was in surgery and I would hear from someone later that day.. no one called.I called them again the day after that..They still did not have my Images to view.. Really ?! Im glad they had 2 1/2 weeks to be ready for me.After the weekend went by I called Monday and finally spoke with someone ONLY to be told.. WE Dont do pain management and WE will not write prescriptions for pain medication !!! I NEVER once indicated that I needed pain medication ! I am already in a pain management program and they were directed to them to get all my images.Prior to my appointment they called me 3 times to remind me and yet no one called to get my images coming..... again,This place is a ship of sinking fools !If I could sue them for the 3 wasted hours of my morning and the way they treated me, I would !

Well...I have worked as a medical interpreter in the area for many years and know first hand most hospitals, clinics and medical centers in the Seattle--Tacoma area. I chose Spine Institute NW as the place to get my own treatmemt because they have consistently stood out as knowledgable, tunned in to new and advanced treatments and technologies and most definitely have a caring attitude.When I needed help I knew the clinics mentality and the fact that to the doctors and staff each patient is important and that they were going to take as much time as necessary with me because I have seen over the years how that is done with each patient.I have seen people get irritated because they have had to wait but the vast majority of those people have no idea what goes on behind the scene. Personally, I prefer to have my providers spend time needed as oppossed to working against the clock and seeing patients on a production line like manner.Of course, none of that time spent with patients would mean anything if the results are not good when everything is said and done. I have seen more clients go back to a productive, meaninful existence coming from there than any other place around and because they do spend time with patients, they -patients- tend to know and better understand what to expect from whatever procedure they go through.I can report happily and wholeheartedly that I finaly got needed treatment after Id been told multiple times over the course of thirty years that Id just have to learn to live with pain that my pain level is now so low, I forget about it if I am busy and productive. I have been able to sleep full nights and get up in the mornings looking forward to the day. I can focus on tasks and am now preparing to take LSATs and hopefuly get back to school, all while I continue to work a full time schedule.
