I have been seeing Dr Nouri for several years now for my eye care. I find her to be excellent. She is able to explain complicated concepts relating to my eyes in clear terms, without being condescending. She has cutting edge equipment in her office for taking measurements and scans. And she has a warm personality and is genuinely interested in the health and welfare of her patients. I highly recommend her.

Truly - one of the MOST compassionate, caring physicians who you will EVER encounter! I think medicine has a lot of uncertain when it comes to not knowing special causes at times - and it is very anxiety provoking - not knowing how long or when the symptoms will last (for exp - allergies) - but Dr. Nouri makes you leave the appointment feeling hopeful, present you with options / suggestions and reassure you that WE will find out as a TEAM - and that it will be OKAY. I feel Dr.Nouri is an excellent , caring physician who is very thorough in her examination. She answered all your questions , doesn’t rush you and treats me with respect. It’s a joy to go to her office and not be treated like I’m on an assembly line seeing different techs and then the Ophtamologist for 5 minutes. I suffered a vascular abnormality that caused my vision to be distorted. After 2 signifiant surgeries at MGH that did not solve the problem, I was told by the experts there, You are just going to have to learn to live with this. I am an artist, so this felt like a death sentence.I was introduced to Dr. Nouri by a friend, and she became the first medical expert to take my situation seriously. She empathized with my very personal sense of grief and loss. She took me under her wing, coordinating my care with other specialists and checking in with me regularly.She also insisted I meet with a very particular surgeon at Childrens Hospital, Dr. David Hunter. INSISTED. And she was absolutely right. Thanks to his extraordinary surgical skills, my eyesight has now been restored.Over the last 3 years I have met with at least 10 eye specialists. Dr. Nouri is the only one who was familiar with Dr. Hunters work and knew it could help me. I do not think it is hyperbole to say she gave me back my life. She is an outstanding example of how one person can truly make all the difference. She is an extraordinary doctor and human being.

Dr Nouri has been my eye doc for many years and I’ve recommended her to many of my friends and family members. I have complete faith in her recommendations for eye health and for her astute diagnoses. She has caught abnormalities and referred me to the proper specialists when needed. She listens to my concerns and finds solutions. She is caring kind and takes the time to clearly explain whatever I need to know about keeping my eyes healthy.

I have been seeing Dr. Nouri for over a year after a referral from my optometrist for further evaluation of a possible pre glaucoma condition. I am also a type 2 diabetic which can affect the optic nerve and should be monitored. Fortunately, from her extremely thorough examination, she determined that there were no issues that would require treatment at this time. I continue to see Dr. Nouri periodically so she can monitor both the eye pressure and optic nerve to determine if there are any changes that would require treatment. To date, there have been no changes, but Im a firm believer that early detection and treatment of an issue is the best course of action.During my visits, she spends quite a lot of time with me and explains, in detail, what she is doing and why. She has also suggested routine things things can be done daily to improve overall eye health.I highly recommend Dr. Nouri.

I can’t say enough positive words about the expertise, professionalism and patient-centered care of Dr. Nouri. In mid-October 2020 I experienced sudden onset severe eye pain in addition to extreme redness, swelling and light sensitivity in my left eye. Within the span of 2 days and before securing an appointment with Dr. Nouri based upon my husband’s recommendation (who also sings the praises of Dr. Nouri and has found so much relief for his eye troubles under her care!), I had been to the Mass General ER twice as a result of the pain. After they failed to diagnose me on both occasions, and after the pain, swelling and redness escalated, my husband booked me an emergency telemedicine appointment with Dr. Nouri who generously fit me into her busy patient schedule to help support my needs, despite my not even being an established patient of hers. Her deep knowledge of ophthalmology and eye health was apparent from the start of our appointment to the end, and she was able to quickly identify the severity and urgency of the situation and offer (an incredibly accurate) explanation for the situation. She recommended that I immediately go to the Mass Ear and Eye ER, and sure enough, after a third trip to the ER, I was diagnosed with scleritis and eye shingles, which Dr. Nouri suspected. While I unfortunately had to return to the MGH ER the day thereafter due to the Mass Eye and Ear ER doctor not prescribing me anything to help the eye shingles (he refused to believe someone who was 33 years old could contract it...despite seeing dendrites in my eye and telling me I had eye shingles!), Dr. Nouri is the reason why I got care before the corneal lesions that eye shingles gifted me caused me to completely loose my vision in my left eye! If it wasn’t for Dr. Nouri I would’ve been in a much worse state, and to say that her expertise even surpassed the Mass Eye and Ear ER doctors is an understatement! Dr. Nouri continued to check in on me (on her own time) to ensure that I was in good care and on a healing path, and she also recommended a phenomenal cornea specialist who has been (and still is) supporting my post-shingles corneal damage.I truly cannot recommend Dr. Nouri enough for anyone seeking quality, expert eye care, and I truly wish every doctor was like her! She will be my and my husband’s ophthalmologist until she retires; truly as good as it gets!

I highly recommend Dr. Nouri. She is an excellent ophthalmologist and provides superb care. She is truly knowledgeable, thorough and meticulous and takes the time to explain the results and to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Her practice is small, but she provides a much higher level of service than my previous, much larger, practice. As opposed to my previous practice which required months in advance to book an appointment, Dr. Nouri was very accommodating, and I was able to be seen the following week after I called. Her office has state of the art equipment and feels like a very welcoming environment. More importantly, Dr. Nouri is very personable, kind and attentive. You can tell that she truly cares about her patients. Bottom line, I’m extremely happy that I found Dr. Nouri and of knowing that the care of my eyes is in good hands now.

I hv never written a review for anyone-let alone a physician. But it is an honor to write one for Dr. Nouri whom I have been fortunate enough to go to for many years now. She is clearly an intelligent, knowledgeable and superb doctor who is educated in the newest practices. But to end there is to minimize who she is, and what she does. She is what one hopes for when seeing a doctor when in good health or having issues. She is kind, supportive, compassionate and empathetic. She spends time looking up your history (while facing you and talking with you) and remembers things about your life that is astonishing (which is to say that she truly listens to you). You are having a conversation about your eyes, in particular, but the well being of your life, in general. I always feel better after having spoken with her or having seen her. Dr. Nouri is always there for you, and responds almost immediately when called or texted. In my opinion, she is the epitome of a healer and I am writing this with the highest admiration and recommendation that I could give.

Dr. Nourie is the finest physician Ive ever had -- and at 86 Ive had many. She is extremely competent, knowledgeable and thorough. She cares very much about her patient. Dr. Nouri makes sure I understand every test shes doing and why. She is persistent -- if she has any concern about the results of a test shell re-do it if she feels its necessary. She responds quickly to calls.Shes a credit to her profession.

If you want to work with a superb physician who really cares about her patients and their eyes, it would be hard to find an ophthalmologist better than Dr. Nouri. She is very special indeed. Her office is well appointed, friendly and unhurried, (unlike most these days).
