We love NHC & all their doctors, we’ve been here going on 20 years and wouldn’t have it any other way. The only things that need major improvement is the parking and that dreadful call center. Other than that, this place is incredible. Pedi nurses are fantastic, always go above and beyond. We drive 2 hours to get here & it’s so worth it.

Please do yourself the favor and stay far away from this place. It used to be a decent place now they have a different company running the call center and these people are the rudest most ignorant people. You wait 30 mins to talk to someone, then finally when they answer you cant understand a word there saying because they barely speak English. They could careless about anything they either hang up on you or pass you off to the next person. Unbelievable its sad what happened to this place.

This place is a mess. I only go here because I’ve gone here since I was little and am just used to the place. I’ve gotten wrong test results. Hold times are terrible they even hang up on you. When I drove to the parking lot to pick up a prescription they made me get out of my car and walk to the front of the door to grab it when the sign clearly says “stay in your car we will bring out your prescription” 🙄🙄🙄

Trying to get through to a live person that is helpful is literally equivalent to hitting the lottery. The wait times are ridiculous, I have waited upward of 20 minutes after the automated message indicates 3 minutes just to be hung up on repeatedly. Please implement quality control ASAP!!!!!!!

Horrible place, I was given a wrong diagnosis, on top of that takes them forever to reach out. I had been trying to get an appointment with my doctor for about months now, my health is getting worse because I have stomach problems, things get worse I can’t get anyone to do me a physical. This place is horrible

I recently moved back from Florida and previously was going here since I was a child. I guess in the years Ive been gone this services and utter professionalism dropped. I waited over an hour for my appointment. There was nobody at the front desk to communicate to. I was only able to get through to the doctor when a nurse was starting their shift. Come to find out even though I checked in person according to their system marked as checked in. I am never going back there again.

So after 2 years I come back to post another review. Still wish I could give a 0. If it was not for Geiger, I would be gone. Last week and this week I have tried to contact via phone to no availability even after waiting 35 minutes on hold to hear the voice come on and say another 10 mins. So I go to Neponset in person, WHAT A JOKE. Was told to have a seat and there is 5 patients before me. Now get this I am the 6th person and notice a sign that says no more than 4 people to be in that area. Great job on following your own rules. First of all and 2nd it was a simple paper pick up from Dr. Rivers who said it would be at the desk waiting for me. Now to be told to have a seat being the 6th person in a 4 max area. I decided to leave for safety concern. Now back to call center I call at open today and 35 mins wait it says before it would be answered. I hung up. Now my QUESTION Neponset Health Center, does this explain it well to you? Can you kindly follow up here with a better explanation of what happened as you asked me to explain. Please, explain what I went through?

I have went to Neoponset health center for almost over 2-3yrs. After switching Doctors (previous one moved) I can say this is my worst experience yet. After receiving a physical w/ lab work & a ekg I have awaited a phone call from a doctor or nurse for over a week about my results... I have since called in twice in which they have told me that if I wanted to speak to my doctor about my results I can schedule a new appt with her a week from today in which it would be 2 weeks from my previous walk-in appointment date (3 weeks from my phone call appointment) or the front desk said they could get a nurse to contact me back instead however it has been twice since I’ve called and haven’t received a single call back Understandable that it is covid, however do doctors at neoponset health center not give a follow up phone call? Shouldn’t if i received lab work & an ekg that my PCP call me about my results herself? Worst service.

You cannot call and be on hold less than 30 minutes. It’s ridiculous. I know their phone isn’t busy. This place is terrible for real and if you can find any other place abs I mean ANY go there instead of here.

The pediatrician department is good. I’ve been here since I was a baby and everything (annual exams and vaccines) are sufficient.However, one of the optometrists in the eye department made my experience here very unsatisfactory. The doctor who was doing my eye exam was very passive aggressive.During the exam, there is a machine that gets VERY close to your eye (to take a picture of it I think) and I am not used to having something so close to my eyeball (who is?). She got seemingly irritated when I flinched, and made a snarky comment when I couldn’t do it.I understand it was the end of the day, and we’re all tired, but it’s your job to do this. It was just SO unprofessional. I haven’t been to the eye department since, and I don’t know if she’s still there.Disappointed, because instead of being a good role model as a Vietnamese woman, she made my experience here sour. Never going back to this department lol

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The incompetence is astounding. The people at the front desk will tell you one thing regarding policy/general appointment info and the doctors will tell you something completely different. For example, I asked the front desk if they did the rapid COVID test and they said yes and made an appointment for me to speak with a nurse. Once the nurse called me back she said they don’t actually do that test. Another time I called four days in a row asking for a COVID test and the front desk continuously assured me the nurse would call me back when she had time-she never did. Another example of their incompetence was when I thought I fractured my shin. I made an appointment and saw a nurse who told me she thought it was best to schedule an X-ray. She told me I would get a letter in the mail letting me know when she had scheduled it. Months went by and there was nothing so I assumed she forgot. 11 MONTHS LATER I got the letter (by that time it was feeling better, you know since it was almost a year later, so I didn’t go). I chose this place as my PCP because it was close to my house. If you can go somewhere else...do that.

This place is HORRIBLE!!! It’s a shame because it used to be a really great place to get medical care . You will have your best luck in pediatrics... but hurry because even they are circling the drain.

I have gone here for about 7 years for women’s Health. I love my doctor Allison Foley and when I got pregnant was seen by Megan Foley. Both gave me the best care and were very helpful always going the extra mile to answer all questions and give me the best service. I recently started bringing my daughter there for pediatrics. Kristopher Teti has been excellent and always listens to my questions and helps us when my daughter needs it. Can not say enough good stuff about the doctors here. Yes, it’s not that fancy but best doctors I have ever worked with.

Absolutely unprofessional. Went here primarily to have two prescriptions refilled, here we are almost 2 months later and I am still trying to get my prescriptions because of the multiple errors. From the NP not listening and asking for medical records from the wrong hospital, my name being spelled wrong on multiple occasions, all leading to my prescriptions being sent to a non-existent address and me not being able to pick them up. Should have read the reviews here first, will not ever seek medical attention from this facility.

1. Bad customer service. I called them many times for appointment. I came to check in they said that they didn’t not see my “appointment”.. It happened many times. Instead they apologize me, they yell at me like I do something wrong 🤬. I have to come home2. I called them to make appointment for my mother. She pretend that she doesn’t understand what I said 🥺

I been coming here for 8 years Drs are the best,kind and COMPASSIONATE people, receptionist are kind, phlebotomy are very Gentle, therapist are superb, social worker are Superb, pharmacy is wonderful, I recommend this clinic to you very HIGHLY

I recently switched doctors so I was moved to this center. My doctors great so I thought I would give it a chance even though the reviews seem so frustrating. Biggest regret. I’m having the exact same issues as others. I recently was ordered to take a few lab samples. I get out of the appt and lab gives me 5 instead of 3. I ask them which ones do I take. They say all. I know this is wrong. I ask to go back to ask my doctor a question. Not allowed. Need to call the hotline. I go home and I called the hotlinehI go home and I called the hotline. Connected to a nurse that confirms with me that the lab is wrong and I should not be doing all five. Which ones? they don’t know either. I go back to the lab. They say do whatever your doctor told you to do. I tell them I’m trying but there’s more tests here than I was told to take. I need to know which ones I can’t just go home and take 5 random ones. It will ruin my medication. Again call the hotline. I call the hotline. Same nurse. Tells me she will ask the doctor and call me back. It’s now been 5 days dealing with this mess and I can’t get my damn doctor on the phone to ask her 1 simple question. As a result I’m behind on my medication, behind on the tests, and As much as I explain my situation with them, they won’t let me talk to her. I’m so desperate and it’s such A simple quick question, and I don’t know what to do. It’s like a twilight zone. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS CENTER.

If i could give them zero stars I would. You wait at least 15 mins for someone to answer your call. If you call for an appointment have to book 2 months in advanced, they need more staff and a better attitude.

Place is filthy! Talk about rude people! Had heard some things about this clinic; but decided to give it a try. The staff were okay at the front desk, but; after being placed in a dirty examination room, a man came in wearing surgical scrubs, and no name tag. He started giving orders and was trying to obtain vital signs (blood pressure, temp., etc.) and when asked if he was a nurse, doctor? - He ignored the question and then when he saw the blood pressure was a bit high, he kept re-talking it and ordered that I relax. He said they (the clinic ) does not like high blood pressure readings in the chart for patients who dont have a previous diagnosis of high blood pressure. What? So, when he couldnt get one that was low enough, he took one that was the lowest and then lowered it further, and when asked what he was doing ? - He said he rounded the blood pressure off. Had to ask him to kindly report what the blood pressure was reading, and not to purposely lower it. He was upset.When the doctor came in, he spent most of the visit arguing with staff about what time he was supposed to leave. He did not want to get stuck in rush hour traffic. When asked about a referral for a recently ruptured disc with an orthopedic specialist, he said he prefers Chiropractors for any type of back issue, and that he just happens to know a good one in the area. After politely refusing his referral to his friend, he began to argue the issues. The entire experience was like a scene from a D movie!

This health center has really dwindled in adequate service. The customer service hotline takes forever to answer. Then when they do, they provide the wrong information or re-direct you to all the wrong places. I have called this place over 7 times within the last week. I have been re-directed to the referrals dept then directed to my own health insurance only to find out (with the help of my insurances customer service rep) that this couldve been avoided had someone given me clear instructions. It has been a hassle for me to get the correct information.

This clinic has the nicest people working there and the nicest caring loving,Kind ,compassionate Dr.s they truly care about you i have been going there for many years.They have always been wonderful to me.I have had many troublesd times in my life they helped through them.They were very professional.Im glad they were there for me.Some of my favorite Drs have come and gone but there are new ones and i am very glad to still be there.I recommend this clinic to everyone.Im very happy to continue going there.

This is the worst experience you can have in health care. Trying to find out what the results of my tests mean. Nurse practitioner does not know - and does not call back. Patient portal is a joke - you need a password to register - and the number for tech support is never answered. The switchboard has no idea who is the doctors covering for another doctor on leave. Disgraceful. need to move my health care to a more responsible institution.

Love this health center. Im from overseas. The two times I was there (one for health checkup, another was for taking vaccine shots) were super easy, smooth and comfortable. Everyone including receptionists, nurses and doctors was very professional and friendly. Big thanks to mrs Kristin Hennessey for taking care of me and for being so nice 👍🏥

So done with this place. Cant never get a nurse to answer. Always leaves a message, and dont do a call back in a timely matter. I was at the office at 10am, they said they send over the prescription. Try to pick it up at my pharmacy and Ive been going back and forth with the pharmacy and the operator at NHC. Nurses are not answering , got one person to pick up at 7:53pm and said NHC was closed! Check the website and the phone line and they said offices closes at 9am.

This is a completely dysfunctional facility. I came here to see a psychiatrist, who was always aware that part of my treatment was a service dog. I brought her in multiple times with no issue until one day when I was embarrassingly interrogated by the primary care intake. She made up a story about the approval process I needed to go through, completely mortifying me and delaying check in. Ultimately she wasnt even able to check me in, but shed done her damage. My psychiatrist was no help in filing a complaint against this woman. Dr. Sigadel gave me the form, but when I read it it was clearly meant to be filled out by a staff member. They made a joke of my mental health care

I Love the clinic, everyone there is very caring, and kind, thats why I travel far to go there.From the receptionists, to the lab girls,and the Dr.s especially mine!!! They are very loving, and the pharmacy to also!!!You may have to wait a long time for your appointment, And meds,but its worth the wait,and going to this clinic is not Macdonald s fast food.Medicine takes time.

The pharmacy is THE WORST. They don’t call you back or help you. And you end up spending an outrageous amount of time on hold, if they even ever answer. They say they are refilling or working on something, but never follow up. Either they are too busy or just incapable of caring. Then when you call back, no one has heard about anything you are talking about. It’s mind boggling. I called and checked multiple times. Even tried to make it super easy for them. They don’t seem to return the favor. I even went there IN PERSON, because it was getting ridiculous and I was getting SICKER and despite all my effort, they say they still need to put the refill in. Shouldn’t they have done that three (or how many times) already? They drop the ball and make things impossible and are beyond frustrating. Not to mention, it’s emotionally upsetting when you are so sick. When someone is sick you need all the help, (or someone to actually LISTEN & follow through) you can get, in doing simple things and they cannot even do that. It’s been almost a week and I still haven’t gotten my refill. I need this medication in order to not be throwing up every five minutes while I’m pregnant. It’s unacceptable. All the work the patient does to help them do THEIR job is for nothing. They don’t care and they pass the buck and keep sending you to different extensions that lead nowhere. I have no idea how they still have an opperating pharmacy because it is always like this — this isn’t the first time and probably won’t be the last. You are at their mercy when you feel the worst and it shouldn’t be this way. As for the doctors, nurses, and assistants, I have nothing but good things to say. They care and do their jobs. That’s why I’ve been going there for years. The pharmacy however, is unacceptable and unprofessional. Yes, you can go to a different pharmacy but sometimes the doctor sends it down there and you have no other choice but to deal with them. It gives me anxiety just thinking about it. Forget even having it transferred. That’s another mission in itself. It should not be this hard to refill a non-controlled prescription you need in order to be able to keep food down and nourish your unborn child. Avoid the Neponset Health Center Pharmacy like the plague.

This has to be the absolute worse clinic in Dorchester. The staff at the front desk are rude and incompetent. The doctors always have you sitting in the exam for 40 minutes or more before they come in. Then theyll rush your appointment. I would not recommend this place to friends and families.
