We love Brookside! Our dog participated in 8-week foundations which quite literally changed our lives for the better with real observable progress and productive strategies for carryover. We also use Brookside for daycare and boarding - its such a relief to have quality, reliable care for our pup!

Brookside is like star school district that we never want to leave because of how important it has become in our lives. We are learning so much about dog behavior and we are so thrilled about our dogs growing confidence. Having a large reactive dog can be scary and limiting: it isnt just who can handle her, but who can actually help her? The training, the structured daycare, the walking, the boarding and the group classes offer a complete ecosystem that we absolutely trust. Everyone at Brookside is so generous and encouraging in supporting our journey to have a more confident and happy dog.

We found Brookside right after getting our new puppy Wylie and after two years with them, I would recommend them to anyone. We had a lot to learn as dog parents, maybe more than our puppy! Brookside helped us socialize Wylie and get playtime, then moved him into their Foundations class. The changes we saw in him were amazing and the classes for us really helped us my wife and I communicate effectively with him.As a proud Foundations graduate, Wylie goes to daycare during the week while my wife and I work. We love the monthly refresher classes - and he can go for the rest of his life!

We chose to work with Dinyee when our lab Samson was a young pup. We cant say enough about what a great decision this was. Having had a rather rambunctious and hard to train pup in the past I didnt want that experience again. For safety sake, I needed to know that anyone could walk our dog and that our dog would come when called. This was my goal in training but the outcome was so much more than I could have hoped for. Our large and strong, 80-pound lab is a model of good behavior. He knows when it is playtime and he understands when it is business. He is a pleasure to be with and a happy and content doggo. It may sound silly but I take great pride in the many compliments he earns from folks on our walks. Training your dog is a serious commitment but the work you put in is so very worthwhile. Brookside Walk & Train is both skilled and professional, I highly recommend!

We came to Dinyee after going to 3 other trainers with no luck. Our adopted adult dog, Oliver, had extreme anxiety, was unable to control his flight instincts, and was afraid to be outside. It was nearly impossible to go on walks with him because he would always try to pull so hard to get home. Even going to the bathroom outside was a struggle, as he would always try to run back home. My husband and I were very overwhelmed and didnt know what to do.When we brought Oliver to Brookside, it was apparent that Dinyee knew how to handle him. Every day during pick-up, she would take the time to review how he did during the day, and give us advise on how to manage him at home. After the 8 weeks, we also had 3 private sessions with Dinyee where she taught us how to use the training tools correctly to ensure we are able to continue our training at home. While the 8-week program is expensive, it was definitely a worth-while investment for us. Oliver is not totally over his issues (we didnt expect he would be fixed after only 8 weeks given his severity), but it is clear that Dinyee has given him enough of a foundation so my husband and I can continue training him at home. We know we have a lot of hard work ahead of us, but we are grateful for the help Dinyee provided to get us on the right path. For those considering Brookside, know that success comes with a lot of hard work. You should be prepared to put in just as much or more work than your dog. Dinyee is a straight-shooter, and will not hesitate to call you out on your behaviors and actions that negatively affect your dogs behavior - but at the end of the day, its all for the benefit of you and your dog.

As a first time dog owner, I didnt know what I didnt know about dog behavior and being a good pack leader. Luckily, two friends recommended Brookside & Dinyee when I adopted my rescue. Dinyee invested time, effort and care both in my dog and me. Shes always looking out for his best interest. She taught me how to create structure, work through his difficult separation anxiety issues and ultimately give him a happy life! Most importantly, I know that she is on our side. When Im frustrated with myself, she reminds me how far weve come and helps me refocus. During COVID, theyve adapt their offerings to meet clients needs, with a heavy emphasis on keeping their staff and clients safe & healthy. Lastly, Rubbie is a fantastic handler and kind person. Whenever we need to board my dog, I am overjoyed that he is in Rubbies expert and caring hands. My dog always comes home happy and so well behaved! I cant recommend Brookside enough and trust them 100%!

We’ve had a lot of success with our pup who has some stress and anxiety issues. The structure that the team at Brookside Walk and Train teaches is not for the faint of heart but is the best thing for our dog who has become considerably more chill as a result of the structure and knowing that we’re in charge. They use many tools to support confidence building including the treadmill, their crates and mats in the facility. Outside of the facility they challenge our dog to jump onto high walls and you can see how accomplished she feels! Great for her confidence! We’ve been working with them for 3 years and wish we could have been there from when she was a younger pup but we didn’t know better at that time.

Dinyee and the Brookside team are great and they really know how to work with your pup and their behavioral needs. When Penelope (mini Bernedoodle) and I first came to Brookside, she was a crazed hyperactive dog, but now I have a much calmer pup. When Penny and I first walked into the Brookside facility I saw the other dogs sitting patiently and thought, “That will NEVER be Penny!” But a couple months later and Penny was one of those dogs, sitting patiently and calmly! I’m so proud of Penny and everything she has learned from Dinyee.Every time you pick up your pup at the end of the day Dinyee takes the time to talk you through what your pup worked on and where they are in their training. The final “human training” classes after were extremely helpful to drive home what Penny had learned. Now I have the structure that I need to continue Penny’s training for the upcoming months and into the future.

Great dog walking, training, and boarding service. We have used them for almost 8 years and they have always been very reliable and professional. We worked with them to train our nervous, reactive dog and he is a much calmer, relaxed dog because of the training. Great boarding services with pickup/drop off at your house.

I cant recommed Brookside highly enough. We have used both their walking and training services and have completely thrilled with the care and love theyve shown our dog. George was a barker and we were getting constant complaints from our upstairs and downstairs neighbors. He also constantly pulled on the leash and was kind of a pain to walk. Dinyee had him walking nicely on the leash within the first day of training and taught us how to deal with the barking. Hes not the perfect dog by any means, but were getting there. The best thing about the training is that we have been taught just as much as George! In addition, all of the walkers have been so good to our dog and the software they use to track and schedule everything gives us peace of mind because we get real time info about how our little guy is doing during the day when we arent with him.

Dinyee came over to our house the day after we adopted our dog, and we were way over our heads. Our dog is very difficult -- fearful and protective. Weve tried a handful of dog trainers in the Boston area and Dinyee is the only one I really trust with our pup. Dont know what wed do without her. We leave our dog with her both for daycare and for boarding. Weve made significant progress with our dogs level of focus and calmness. Also, our dog absolutely loves Dinyee -- shes one of the few people in the world he gives his happy tail wag to.

Dinyee and her staff are a big cut above any dog training, walking, and boarding professionals in the area. There are plenty of ok services, a few good services, but Brookside has years of experience and extensive professional training under their belts that makes them the only superior service in town. I’ve had two “difficult “ dogs, and tried books, videos, TV shows, and several trainers. Dinyee has more dog sense than anyone around, and the passion for her work that sets her above others. If you’re looking for something beyond “sit”, and “down”, and really want to learn how to work with your dog, go to Brookside. You’ll sense the difference when you walk in the door.

We have worked with Dinyee at Brookside Walk & Train since 2011. Marty started in the puppy training program and has progressed through her geriatric years. I cannot say enough good things about this business! Dinyee is amazing, takes the time to get to know her clients (both human and fury), and truly cares. So much so, I have pestered her with countless questions-- what is the best food? What type of collar? Should I try feeding raw? And she always handles my questions with grace, ease, and tolerance. In addition, as this business has grown, I continue to feel confident in the training and knowledge of her staff. I feel 100% certain of the safety and wellbeing of my dog during walks, group outings, and boarding. My confidence and certainty in her abilities has literally travelled 250+ miles-- I have brought Marty from out of state to board with her while traveling, because I KNOW that my dog will be safe, fed, played with, and well cared for just as if I was there. Not to mention, if there was ever safety or a health crisis, I feel confident in her ability to handle it just as I would. I cannot recommend this business enough; if you want to feel confident and secure with your dog-care provider, Dinyee is the person to see!

Ive been using Brookside Walk and Train for over six years. My dog, Bailey, started in Dinyees puppy training program and has been going on group walks ever since. When Bailey was young, he had anxiety issues that were overwhelming to the both of us. Not only did Dinyee teach him basic obedience, duration work, and e-collar training; she taught me exercises to work through his anxiety and how to best advocate for my dog. As a result, Bailey is now much more confident, clear headed, and balanced. Dinyee is knowledgable, observant, patient, and kind. I wouldnt trust my dog with anyone but Dinyee and Brookside Walk and Train.

We’ve been with Brookside since our 5 year old dog Kevin was a puppy. Dinyee helped us train him as a puppy, and he’s gone on multiple walks a week for the past 5 years. He adores Dinyee and all of her staff, we are thrilled knowing that when he’s in their care he is happy and safe! Recently, after welcoming 2 new babies into the family, Kevin needed some refreshing on his training. He did a two week course at the (beautiful and new) facility, and Dinyee came to our house to teach us and show us how to use his new e-collar. He is doing wonderful since his training. He has always been an anxious dog who would loudly bark and growl at other dogs, and he’d run from us as well. Now he is calm, knows to go to his bed when we command him, and if he does get anxious and amped up, we can quickly and easily redirect him using his commands and the e-collar. My parents now frequently request for him to stay with them and they don’t want to give him back because he’s so calm now! We can’t speak highly enough of Dinyee and her team, we would definitely recommend them to anyone.
