This is by far the best assisted living facility in Shreveport/ Bossier area. My grandmother has truly enjoyed herself and they make her feel at home. It is not easy to put your loved one in a facility, but knowing that she is safe and having a great time with the staff and other residents puts our minds at ease. I would highly recommend this facility if you want your loved one to be cared for, loved, and made to feel at home.

So thankful for the staff at Savannah Grand. They take such good care of my aunt and uncle when I’m not able to be there. They are truly a blessing!

Wonderful, caring staff. A nice homey environment

My mother-in-law has been in this facility for five years. She is 96 and had her share of medical issues during this time. All of the staff has been so great to her and helped her with her daily needs! This has become her new home and her new family. I can only thank the good Lord that she has such great care. I would recommend bringing your loved one here!

The staff truly care for my grandmother. She likes to complain but the staff is always willing to “fix” everything. Their new kitchen staff is really good and they really are trying to make the people happy.

I wanted to say thank you for taking care of my grandfather. He lived at Savannah Grand for approximately 2 years before passing late last year. My grandfather was happy there and considered it his home. He had lots of friends and enjoyed being with people his own age. He had very few complaints, if any, about the staff, or the cleaning, or even the food, which is usually a big deal to him. I appreciate the way the caring staff was there for my family in the last few months of his life. I was extremely disappointed with the respite care and facilities here. They were simply not prepared to care for my sister. There was supposed to be a nurse available for wound care, she was never available for me to show her how the dressing should be done. I removed my sister a day early, so the nurse didnt even complete the job, but she sure cashed the check.The chair in my sisters room had to be replaced, there was no dresser (the very nice maintenance gentlemen found one for her), and the television stopped working the second day she was there.I took her out a day early. I never did see or speak to an administrator, it was Saturday afternoon and I have not even received a phone call. Of course, there would be no refund for the day not used. Im sure there was something about that in the 31 page contract. For $175 a day plus $20 a day for the nurse, I was really disappointed. The building and room are very dated.The staff seemed nice.UPDATE: The administrator called me a couple of days after I posted this review wanting to know if there was anything she could do to make this right. I told her I would appreciate a refund for the day and night that my sister was not there. She said it may take a couple of weeks but she would be happy to do that. Well, it is 2 1/2 months later and guess what? No refund yet.

Savannah Grand is a Beautiful Community and Wonderful Staff.

Extremely disappointed in Savannah Grand of Bossier City. It should be renamed Savannah Mediocre.The rooms here are dark and dingy, almost like the set of a horror film.More importantly, the food is DISGUSTING. Ive attempted to eat the slop there a few times and it was almost unbearable. I suppose management decided to cheap-out on the food so the owners can line their pockets with the savings. Serve those old bags some rotting meatloaf tonight! They wont know the difference!Well, Im here to tell you they do. Almost everyone Ive met there has complained about the food. I feel so bad for them because they dont have many other options considering most dont drive or have mobility issues.Furthermore, if something breaks in my grandmas apartment it takes maintenance about 2 weeks to get around to fixing it. I guess theyre too busy rippin cigs and pounding soda in the Taco Bell parking lot across the street.Whatever you do, dont send your loved ones here! Not only will it be miserable for them but youll be extremely frustrated knowing your hands are tied because management will not take any of your concerns or suggestions seriously. Instead, its all about the Benjamins. Dolla dolla bill, yall!
