I do not think they are very professional at that place . I called at 9am to make sure everything was a go she said yes keep your appointment. It was at 1pm I get there and they have to reschedule. I love how docs want 24 hour notice to cancel or they are gonna charge a fee but its ok if they dont contact you. Next time Ill bill you!!

I had a great experience! Check in was very nice and very helpful. They were respectful of my privacy with other patients in the waiting room. The medical staff was very nice as well and easy to talk to. Dr Gioia was extremely professional and understanding. All of my questions were answered, and she made a procedure that I was anxious about very manageable. I definitely recommend Harmony!

Ive been several times in the last year and have been very pleased with each visit. The doctor always spends a lot of time with me which I really appreciate. The other staff is very friendly too. I will say they do stay busy and it can take a bit to get in, but I understand that.

Our family moved to Boone during my second pregnancy from a larger city. We were a bit anxious about having less OB/GYN options and delivering at a smaller hospital. We recently welcomed a baby boy into our family. The experience with the staff at Harmony and delivering at Watauga Medical Center far exceeded our expectations and exceeded the experience from our first child’s birth in a much larger city. We were extremely grateful and feel that the attention and care Dr. Miller and the labor and delivery nurses gave during our delivery made for a much better recovery and overall birth experience.

I love Harmony, these are amazing providers. The midwives have delivered my babies and if I do in the future have more, I will continue to use and trust them. Everyone is super knowledgeable and have been nothing but compassionate and empathetic every time I came in here to see them! Will forever recommend them for Womens Care.

I had my yearly exam today my appointment was at 4 oclock I got there around 345 and was all done by 415 took my insurance cards and I went straight in a exam room the Doctor I saw today was very nice and helpful and so are the staff Ive been going here for about eight years I would recommend if you need your yearly exam or any other problem give them a call Im sure if they can help you they will

I’ve been to the Harmony Center three times now and have had a pleasant experience each time! Each person you talk to makes you feel like whatever issue you’re dealing with is important and are willing to answer every question you have! Wait time is the only issue I seem to have on occasion, but given how many women they see a day and how they make their time with each patient valuable, it is definitely understandable. I would recommend Harmony Center to all, especially college kids new to living on their own!

Be advised that they will not give you a digital copy of your studies for your personal medical records or send a digital copy of your studies to a provider outside of app regional healthcare.Edit for clarification: I have filled out the request for medical records several times, my records are not being withheld. My concern is that my radiology images were only available to me (and my provider) in a paper format (note paper not films). When printed the integrity of my ultrasound images is compromised, which can have a direct effect on radiologic interpretation. The Privacy Rule requires covered entities to provide access to the PHI in the form or format requested by the individual, if it is readily producible in such form or format. - The HIPPA Privacy Rules Right of Access and Health Information Technology. I was told that it was not possible for my ultrasound studies to be produced in a digital format (Disk, flash-drive or email). Harmony Center isnt breaking any rules by not providing a digital copy however, the availability of a digital copy has become standard of care. I also believe that I have the right to get a second opinion which would require my provider to have access to images suitable for radiologic interpretation. My review is meant to inform people that they will not have access to a digital copy of their ultrasound images. This isnt a priority for everyone, the staff was very kind and helpful and I recommend harmony to anyone that doesnt care about whether they get a digital copy or not.

They have provided excellent care and help for me during both of my pregnancies, not just physically but mentally. I absolutely love their care and allowing my boyfriend to come to appointments checking on dad as well!They are following safety guidelines during this pandemic! Keeping us all safe, I Absolutely love it here and they have done so much help I cannot thank these women and men enough for everything they have done. ❤️ I appreciate them soo much, best care. I will continue going to them for the rest of this pregnancy and future pregnancies, they are amazing. ❤️

I have had three pregnancies with both the midwives and doctors at Harmony. The staff are always kind and available either in office or by phone to answer questions. The midwives and doctors both exceeded my expectations on handling my pregnancies as a high risk mother. The rooms are comfortable, inviting and very clean.The wait times vary throughout the day, sometimes I have waited for an hour, but I understand this is a busy medical office. I have noted that the earlier your appointment the less full the parking lot and the quicker you will be seen. Most of the time the receptionists worked with me depending on the time of day I could be seen. The OBGYN appointments I had were changed fairly frequently later in pregnancy but this was not an issue as I had a week or two notice of the schedule changes.

Harmony is the best. They are all so kind and welcoming. They make you feel very comfortable. Carrington took the time to answer and explain every single question I had about all of the different birth control options. She was honest and informative. They really make you feel like they care about your health and are very specific to you and your body.

I loved Dr. Miller! This was my first time seeing him. He is super friendly and a natural people person.😁 He took the time to addressed all my concerns. Keep up the great work Dr. Miller!!!! 👏

I saw Nancy Griffith, FNP, CNM today for a breast exam. She was empathetic, attentive and spent as much time as I needed talking with me. She is definitely in the right profession. 🙂 The warm, low lighting in the exam rooms is appreciated too.

I love the staff at Harmony. They were wonderful during my time living in the mountains. What I dont love, is the fact that Im still getting bills at the end of April for 1 annual exam that I had back in September. My 1 annual exam has now cost me over $1,000. Every time I get a new bill in the mail, I call to dispute it only to find that they have found another charge that needs to be taken care of. I thought I was done in February after paying over $700 for my 1 visit. I was also charged twice for a pap smear that had to be re done because the first test kit was expired. Beware of the unknown charges and fees that may come with your visit!

Carrington is the best provider!! Friendly and caring. Nursing and reception are great as well! No wait time, and got all my questions answered. Thanks Harmony!!

I have been to Harmony multiple times and saw Dr. Miller. I absolutely love his staff and him. They were great and made me feel very comfortable.

My whole experience was quick and efficient but not rushed in any way. Everyone involved and Dr. Andrews were all very sweet and made sure that I was comfortable and informed before and throughout my procedure. I lived in Boone for many years in the past but these days actually come from the Raleigh area to have my gyno appointments at the Harmony Center because I feel so at home here. You guys are so appreciated!!

I have been going to see Dr. Beverly Womack for years. She’s an excellent doctor and very knowledgeable... I feel confident with my health in her hands (she tells you how it is). Her West Jefferson staff are superb (super nice and helpful). Now go make an appointment...you’ll love them!

I had a wonderful experience at Harmony today. The staff is always helpful and kind. Check in was quick, the appointment was timely and the ultrasound technician was wonderful. She is always happy, friendly and informative. Checkout was smooth and seamless.

This is a great office! Every nurse and doctor I’ve seen is sweet as could be and they always make you feel so comfortable (as much as you can be anyway!).

Dr Miller is so comforting…I was so nervous about seeing a man but he was so awesome!!!

I hate to be so critical, but this place is just the worst. You really dont have any other option in Boone to have a different OB-GYN and that is what makes this frustrating. I had to walk out before being seen because I had waited in the waiting room for 35 minutes and still hadnt been called back yet. They ask you to show up 20 minutes prior to your appt, which I always try to do because I am a healthcare provider and I appreciate when patients show up on time! Whats even more frustrating is that I had to wait two months to get an appt and it was my last appt before I am moving to the other side of the country so I now have to find a new provider when I have been an established patient for a while with Harmony. Unfortunately, this is not their first indiscretion. I was also charged $700 for blood work that was sent to Watauga Hospital, even though they took the sample in the office. They knew it would be cheaper to go through LabCorp, which is right up the street, but chose to make a large profit off of someone who had no clue it was being sent to the hospital! My insurance covers blood work for significantly less with LabCorp. The doctors are good, I have only had great interactions with them. So I dont know whose side its on, but I think they need to get their s*** together. Thankfully, I wont ever be returning there again.

Caring and helpful doctors. I went in for my first time consultation expecting to have to make several follow up appointments and was pleasantly surprised to have several needs addressed at once!

We have had nothing but positive experiences at Harmony, most recently throughout our pregnancy. Each staff member at the Boone and Ashe offices treated my husband, myself and our little one on the way with care throughout our pregnancy. Dr. Womack was wonderful during delivery and helped us feel at ease, and has also given us such good support, postpartum. We really appreciate the personalized care we have received during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum by Harmony - We couldn’t ask for better care!

This is a very good office for all gynecology issues (can’t speak to their obstetrics but I’m sure it is great too). All the practitioners are respectful and helpful. I feel comfortable talking to them about any issues I’ve needed their help with.

Harmony has always been very helpful and there when I needed them, both for routine and immediate care needs. April Greene is fantastic and all the staff has been nice.

The actual doctors here are kind, very informative and pleasant however that is the only reason I even gave two stars. The rest of the staff are either incompetent or simply do not care. I chose this gyn because they are covered by my insurance (asked my insurance for a list of dr in the area) but the front desk staff had me as self pay even though they made a copy of my insurance card when I arrived. I have been dealing with the bills trying to get them to send the bills to my insurance since September (6 months now). When I asked the triage staff to send my birth control prescription to the prescription company they ignored my request and sent it to the pharmacy I use in town. Now 3 months later I need my birth control prescription refilled again, I called and left a message saying what I needed. Only to receive a call the following day from the triage nurse telling me I need to give her more information, I said I was at work so I dont have it and asked her to look the company up. This nurse then told me theres too many companies for her to do that. I am sick of trying to fix the mistakes and do the job I am paying these people for!!!! Send my bill to my insurance and fill my prescription the way I asked this SHOULD NOT be a 6 month affair.

The staff is so friendly and made feel so comfortable and calm. They made sure I understood what they were talking about and didn’t make me feel dumb like some of the other places I’ve been. Everything happened in a timely manner. Amazing place.

I have been a patient for over five years and have experienced a significant decline in service and attention to detail. Perhaps more of a leadership/management issue than the actual quality and care of doctors. Some doctors exceptional, others average. Doctor coded my mammogram incorrectly as a diagnostic iso routine, and would not change, even after not having a mammogram in three years and health insurance directing it was a quick recode by the doctor. Had to call multiple times to fix, after talking to Brianna office manager three times, taking over three weeks, was not able to resolve causing a bill over $500, when insurance would have covered 100%. Doctors seem frazzled with inadequate computer equipment. Sometimes you get right in, other times wait time is over 45 mins. You do not get the same doctor from issue to cure, you could see multiple doctors in between. BUT if you are the ONLY OB/GYN outfit in town, do you really need to commit to exceptional service? Does not appear so. So rating is based on consistently, inconsistent care, service and attention to detail.

I have had very positive experiences with each of the doctors Ive seen here, and before I moved to town, Heather was extremely communicative and helpful in assisting me with the transition from my old office to Harmony.However, that is where the positive experiences end. I had multiple mishaps with this office due to disorganization on the part of some staff members. This included being scheduled for procedures I did not need, despite being told many times Id already had them done at a special facility they themselves had referred me to, botched appointment times, long wait times (1 hour+) for appointments, lack of communication of lab results, and worst of all, incomplete records sent to my new office when I moved to another state and had to transfer my care to another OBGYN. This required 3-4 phone calls over a 2-week period on my part, despite having conscientiously filled out a records request form before I left town - I was told multiple times, Oh sure, well send the missing records right away! only to find out repeatedly from my new office that they had not been sent. Just this past Friday, I was told by Renee, Yes, those records have now been faxed over, when the new office just conveyed to me that the brief document they received contained none of the specific things asked for. So, that tells me this office is either inept and does not listen to patients, or that they will lie to patients to cover their own tracks. The medical assistant at my new office finally called on my behalf and was able to get the records, so I guess Harmony staff will listen to the staff at other offices, but not their patients.Its a shame because there are really no other options for OBGYN care in town, so you are at their mercy. If you go to this office, be prepared to really have to advocate for your own care, double check all scheduled appointment times/procedures, and hold staff accountable.

April is the best doctor. Treats me with respect and kindness.

I went to Harmony on Friday, November 20th for a colposcopy with Dr. Gioia. I was so displeased with the visit that I was in tears for hours. Upon arrival I was not worried or anxious at all and the front desk staff was pleasant and kind to me. When the nurse assistant for Dr. Gioia came to get me, she was bubbly and nice and I felt comfortable letting her know that I have trauma associated with these types of exams/procedures, hopefully letting her know to treat me with extra care and for Dr. Gioia to treat me with extra care. When Dr. Gioia came in to explain the procedure to me and why it was being performed, when the words cancer were mentioned, my eyes started to well up with tears and I started to feel very anxious. While she told me that it may not even be cancer, but that was what she was testing for, she was very cold and crass in the way she was handling me. She told me to get changed and then she would be back in to perform the procedure. Among her and her nurses return, they were talking about some thing completely unrelated to my procedure and were not even paying attention to me sobbing on the table. When Dr. Gioia finally turned her attention towards me she said, I really dont like to treat patients who are so stressed out so we are going to need you to calm down. The nursing assistant turned up some terrible music and loudly told me to take deeper breaths while this procedure unfolded, that was probably more painful than it should have been because I was so anxious and scared. I cried the whole time. After the procedure was done, they told me I could leave when I was ready but did not take any time to sit and talk to me or explain anything to me. I quickly got changed and didnt even know how to exit the building...I am blessed with an amazing PCP who usually does my PAPs, so it never even occurred to me that an experience like this was possible. Im pretty positive I am not the only woman who experiences anxiety and fear regarding these procedures and terms like cancer, especially at age 26. I am sure it is so routine for them that they dont even see a patient on their table, but this is NOT routine for me.I have never written a review in my life, but felt like I needed to speak up about this experience.

When I was pregnant they gave me the absolute best care. I always felt very comfortable talking to them and was comfortable with any of them helping with the birth of my daughter. Post pregnancy, I have received the same great care. I have had a few weird experiences with a person scheduling me or getting an answer back, but Id never base a couple people (and hey everyone has off days) on an entire center. Love this place!

I’m not one to complain however I have never known a medical practice to not answer phones or call back this has been the worst experience for my girlfriend and I we have called for this is the third day in a row leaving messages and to not get called back a single time I am very disappointed in this service now my girlfriend is laying sick with withdrawals from a medicine they prescribed her and won’t answer to get it refilled

Dr Andrews is one of the most understanding doctors I’ve ever meant! She cuts you up nicely I’m amazed by this woman due to my issues recently.If she can be my pediatrician I would take her!Test results and stuff is something you have to stay in any doctors office about. She has lots of students that want to learn so don’t let that get in the way of visiting dr Andrews! On amazing lady and so are her staff members!!

I really appreciate the doctors and staff of Harmony clinic more than I can say. I have been a patient there for years and I have only received the utmost care. Yes, parking may be hard to find and sure, you may wait a long time to be seen but in my opinion it’s worth it. My doctor is amazing and thorough and I consider her a friend. She puts me at ease and makes me laugh when I feel like crying. These are people too, just doing their jobs to be best of their ability and I think they’re great. Also, the new ability to be able to email with questions is really wonderful and Peggy is the Best! Only thing I think is they need a bigger building and more staff so everyone isn’t overworked! Keep up the good work. 😘

Ive had the greatest experience with harmony, they truly put their patients comfort and happiness first. The doctors here are compationate understanding and kind and the nurses and receptionists are all so kind!! I highly recommend.I needed urgent attention one morning and called at 8am and got in at 10:15. They were quick, thorough, and respectful. I had no problems with wait time or scheduling. I love these ladies!

My experience at Harmony Center was wonderful! The front office staff were helpful in setting up my initial appointment and were super nice over the phone when I needed to change my morning appointment to an evening appointment. I didnt have to wait long for my appointment and the lovely lady who took my weight/blood pressure/etc was very kind. I saw Heidi Robertson whom was knowledgeable and made me feel very at ease during my appointment. I will be returning to Harmony Center for future appointments and checkups!

I am a young woman & Harmony is the first womens center I have ever visited, so feeling comfortable was initially one of my biggest concerns. Harmony did not dissappoint! The receptionists are very sweet and very helpful; and the waiting area is a nice, clean space, well-lit by many windows. There is plenty of seating and music playing to help alleviate the waiting worries too. The nurses and doctors that Ive seen have all been first and foremost very knowledgeable and resourceful individuals; but also nice, genuine human beings too. Very cool!As with all doctors offices, scheduling an appointment can require a little flexibility in your daily routine, and sometimes the waiting process lasts half an hour or so... which understandably, feels like forever! (for me, this is the nerves); but that part of the experience is no different from the eye doctor, foot doctor, etc.Overall, GREAT staff & GREAT space for women in the Boone community. So glad to have Harmony!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have been waiting in an exam room for an hour and twenty minutes and am still waiting. I have heard at least twice my name mentioned in the hall by staff saying that “She’s fine. She can wait.” Unfortunately this is the only OBGYN in the area. I will be looking elsewhere. I can drive to a neighboring location, see a doctor, and be back in the time that I have been sitting here.

Ive been going to Harmony since 2009 and I would never consider going anywhere else. It is hard to get a call through sometimes but they have always been prompt about returning my calls. They are also super busy and stay booked up so you can expect a bit of a wait for an appointment if you dont make it ahead of time but it is worth the wait!

Last year, I went to Harmony for a consultation regarding a procedure. My experience was very bad, because the doctor was disrespectful, involved her personal opinion, talked over me, interrupted me,and did not want to listen to me. I left and did not plan on ever coming back. Recently, the gynecologist I was seeing for treatment of a condition left her practice unexpectedly. I scheduled an appointmentwith the Harmony clinic, because I wanted to keep seeing a female doctor for treatment and wanted to try to stay local. I told them Id had a bad experience but was willing to try someone other than thedoctor I saw last time. The front desk staff were kind and understanding. The new doctor, not so.Once again, I was interrupted, talked over, and my concerns were dismissed. To top it off, this doctor did not agree with the course of treatment the previous doctor had already recommended, and thesolutions that I was given amounted to deal with it, it is not a big enough problem to treat. Disagreeing is one thing, but to coldly tell me so, along with her personal opinion on what I should tolerate with MY body is not what Id expect from a medical professional. Not only that, questions were treated as me making an argument, and the overall manner in which I was spoken to was abrupt. She was clearly irritated and in a hurry. I was just another patient file to her, not a person. Bottom line is that the doctors there SEVERELY lack good bedside manner.I gave them another chance, and I know to NEVER go back there. I will be seeking treatment in Charlotte or Winston, as I did last year after my first bad experience with them.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I went a couple weeks ago to get my depo shot and waited for a hour for something that takes 5 minutes to do. I also went today for a Pap smear and again waited an hour but this time I never got to be seen. Both times I have told the front desk and they said they’re waiting for a room to open up when people who got there after you are being seen. I waited another 10 minutes after the front desk told me they would be right with me until I walked out. This place is a joke.

The office staff is punctual and polite. They are always sure to ask if you have any questions or concerns which means a lot.

TERRIBLE--TERRIBLE place. AVOID IF YOU CAN! I noticed that the center responded to previous comments about the phones never being answered here with the suggestion to call in to discuss the phones never being answered.. WOW.... Really??? YOU CAN NOT GET ANYONE TO ANSWER OR CALL YOU BACK, so how in this world would that suggestion work?? NUTS. The only doctor who seemed nice was Dr. Andrews. She took my concerns and offered sound advice. Like so many others, I found that calls are never answered by anyone here. Lord forbid someone had a true emergency and needed to get in touch with anyone here. Appointment times are given, but plan to wait at least 45 minutes to hours to be seen here. It seems that this is the only place where low income women can been seen in the Boone area. If you have concerns or problems, they just get swept under the rug here.

I LOVE Harmony!! The staff is amazing! I went in for my first appointment the other day and I was astounded at how wonderful and compassionate everyone there is! The front desk staff, Briana and Elizabeth, are too sweet and helpful. They answered every question I had, and if they did not know the answer they went and found a medical staff member to help me. The nurse practitioner I saw, Heidi Robertson, is amazing! I would recommend her to anyone needing an appointment! She did not make me wait in the room at all. She was very friendly, and knowledgeable. Heidi took the time to answer every question I had and ease all of my concerns. I have never experienced a provider so willing and eager to spend so much time with me making sure I am taken care of and provided for. Her medical assistant, Emily, was also excellent. She did not make me wait long in the lobby. She was very thorough in going over my all the information she needed from me, and was very kind the entire time. She was super helpful, and sweet! The entire time I was there I was greeted by other MDs with a warm hello and smile, as well as a friendly greeting from the rest of the medical staff. I have never experienced a nicer medical staff! It seemed like everyone took time to stop and say something to me as they passed by me. The practice manager, Amanda, was also present during my visit. She was walking around saying hi to all the patients and making sure their experience there was perfect. She is the sweetest! I would recommend this place to anyone in the high country looking for an OBGYN whether it is Heidi, one of the doctors or one of the midwives, every one here is great!! The ladies of Harmony go over the top to the moon to please every single person that walks through their doors whether it is the patients, their families, etc. It is very clear that they all work together as a team to make sure everything is perfect!! Thank you Harmony staff for being the best doctors office I have ever visited. This office passes any office Ive been to in Raleigh. I cant wait for my next visit here!

Dr. Gioia was an amazing doctor, she helped me so much through my labor and delivery. I had several unexpected complications which she very quickly assessed and fixed the problem. She worked all day, stayed until late hours through the night to deliver my baby and then worked all day the next day. Shes a wonderful doctor and Im so fortunate to have had her as my doctor.

Absolutely horrific place to take a pregnant lady.I have unfortunately had to bring my wife here on multiple occasions. She is so unhappy and just down right appalled at the care these “doctors” have given her. Avoid this place at all costs! It’s just ridiculous that someone else hasn’t opened a decent women’s health center in this area. And it’s not just one doctor. It’s all of them! I have never been so disgusted with the care or lack there of. If I could give this post negative 5 stars I would! Hope you don’t plan on keeping your appointment. There really good at calling about 30 mons before your supposed to be there to reschedule you! Oops looks like you’ve got something urgent? Not on there watch. I will at my wife’s request gladly!!!!! Drive her to Charlotte anytime to avoid this money hungry careless bunch of people. I long for the day a better obgyn office is built!

I had my son on May 13th, 2019. He was stillborn. A week before I had one of the doctors turned off my non stress test after it started sounding the alarm over and over again.

Lots of issues ,but lets start with the fact that some of the staff is just rude ! Secondly they dont care a bit if you dont want a certain midwife to give you care. No matter the reson even though the one I refuse to touch me or my child made my cousin have a still born. They rescheduled me 2 times in a day and it took 3 hrs to event get anyone to answer to figure out why.

Making the appointment and receiving of the reminder all went smoothly. I arrived early as they asked since I was a new paitent. After 40 minutes passed the time of my appointment I asked the ladies at the front. They were clueless. I sat back down waited until it was a full hour past my appointment and hadnt been call. I was about to tell the front desk that I was leaving and they finally called me back. Hoping that it wouldnt be much longer from this point. I was checked in and then I waited. Anther 25 minutes went by still no Doc. I got dressed and left. Boone really needs to step up there woman care!!!

You absolutely can not get an appointment unless you leave a message and wait hours for them to call you back. Then you are forced to make the appointment when they finally call you back and then you likely are not in a private place - its an OBGYN - pretty personal stuff! Terrible! Hate it! Change it!

Dr. Heidi was seriously an angel. She went above and beyond to answer my questions without making me feel akward or gross. Best doctor Ive ever had hands down.

I am a high risk patient who needed a hysterectomy so I could get at least one part of my life back on track. Dr. Beverly Womack was AMAZING. She took the time to listen to all of my concerns going into surgery. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, fibromyalgia and and blood clotting disorder called Hughes syndrome. The surgery was Nov. 27th, 2018, I am a week post OP and feel great. I would highly recommend Harmony Center for Women!

This place is the worst. The average wait time is 45 to and hour after your appointment time but they want you to be early. We are currently in an exam room for my wifes appointment and have been here for 2 hours at the time if this writing. They dont care about there patients at all. This is the last time that my wife will be coming here . If I could rate lower I would. Avoid at all costs.

Over the course of 3.5 hours, I called 28 times without 1 single answer. Someone finally answered on the 29th time, put me on hold, then said they were going to transfer my call and someone would pick up. The call was transferred and no one answered. I dont want to leave a message. I just want to talk to someone on the phone! This is BEYOND frustrating and it has happened more than once. There are so few options for womens care in the area that I feel like I have no choice but to go here, which makes it even more frustrating that this happens.

My neice was seeing a Dr. Here and your medical team seems to have no regard for the child she is caring. I dont know everything that was said but you dont say I going to let someone else deel with this. NO TO A PREGNENT WOMAN.....
