Ive been a patient of Dr. Aireys now for about six years. Ive always gotten great care at this office. Dr. Airey and his staff have always made me comfortable getting whatever procedure is necessary. His staff is very confident, courteous and respectful! I would recommend them for all your dental care!

What a wonderful experience with this office from the start! Dr Airey and Leah were so delightful and educated treated me like I was family from the start! Marie and Samantha at the desk were so well mannered. Samatha educated me of the treatment I needed and explained my dental insurance to me and the best way to utilize it! She was kind and sweet! I wish I could tell everyone about them! I recommended them from young to old!

I have extremely high anxiety of dentists which had me putting off treatment to the point I needed an extraction. At my last dentist appointment at another location I got whiplash from the dentist yanking on my jaw so much. However here... I was comfortable and never in any pain. The staff was extremely nice to me and understood the situation. I will be making this my full time dentist office and have recommended both my parents to get their dental treatment there. As my dad has also had very bad experiences with a dentist talking down to him and shaming him and that is something none of the staff at App Dental ever did to me.

I had a great experience with Dr. Airey and his team! I needed to get a dental implant procedure done. It was a long process, but I was very impressed with the care I got from Dr. Airey and his team from beginning to end. They were always friendly, inviting and had a happy environment every time I went in for my check ups. Dr. Airey was attentive and made sure any issues I had during the process was taken care of right away. I highly recommend their office.

The absolute best dentist is Boone! Gentle hands and I never feel a injection. Dr. Airey talks and care for me as if I were his only family. I value his care and I trust him with all my dental needs. I have been going to Dr. Airy for years, so it pains me to write this review...I have been going to Dr. Airy for many years, I have always paid my bills in full at time of service & I have spent thousands of dollars over the years. I get the Covid is part of the issue and different dentists have different policies right now but when I called with a large hole in my tooth I was told they were only taking emergencies for current patients...Well I may not be able to afford every 6 months or a year for regular visits but I consider myself to be a patient of this office, I have been going to him almost as long as I have lived here so being turned away when I needed them has me very disappointed. I called another dentist that I have only been to once and they gladly took me in, same day. I will be switching permanently as the dentist I got in with has saved me 2x in crisis when Dr. Airys office was unavailable. I just think when someone spends thousands of dollars they should not be turned away so quickly, considerations should be made for those in need.

Professional, top of the line technology and equipment. Great staff! Love getting my crowns same day! My daughter also just had her wisdom teeth out and they took wonderful care of her and they call multiply times to check on her, even Dr. Airey personally called! Love this dentist!

Dr. Airey and his staff are always so sweet and personable. I’ve had some pretty awful dental experiences in the past both with staff and procedures completed and it wasn’t until I came here that I realized that it wasn’t a normal occurrence. Dr. Airey not only treats you for the issues at hand but he explains everything to you the entire time. Including what he’s doing and what the best at home practices are for preventing future damage. A lot of dentists just fix the problem, hand you a tooth brush and send you on your way. At the last office I was going to, they didn’t even schedule follow ups. That was something I had to remember. But here at Appalachian Dental Care it’s obvious how much they care about your oral health. Every time I go in it’s a wonderful experience. Everyone there has such a light touch and friendly smile and they always schedule my follow ups and send me reminders. I highly recommend this office!

I have been a Patient of Dr. Airey for 10 years. He is skilled, explains conditions and treatments clearly. He is gentle and thorough and offers treatment suggestions that I may or may not undertake after careful consideration. He may be a bit more expensive but his work is worth it. I have an implant he did 10 years ago and it is still rock solid and going strong. His current staff and technicians are pleasant and welcoming. Two thumbs up!

Had a tooth extraction today and was very nervous but from the time I walked in I was immediately put at ease and made comfortable.I highly recommend app dental and Dr. Airey.Very professional and courteous.... I am a patient for life: thank you for everything ;)

Dr. Airey is a very professional, highly skilled dentist. His work is impeccable, and his staff is very professional and well trained. I love going to see Dr. Airey because I feel he actually cares about me as a patient and as a human being. Dr. Airey and his friendly staff really go out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I havent been to a friendlier, more adept dental office in the High Country.

Dr Airey is GREAT at his skills. I think hes the only dentist that does wisdom teeth removal in Boone. His assistants are friendly and helpful too. I told them that I wanted to remove some of my wisdom teeth, and I got them removed in one visit. The operation was fast and painless, and my wounds were healed quickly. In addition, his pricing was reasonable and made a poor college kid without insurance like me able to afford basic dental cares.My experience with the dentistry world was not all that pleasant. I turned away from App Dental Care initially because of some of the reviews here about Dr. Airey and decided to go to another dentistry (started with an H and had better ratings on google) instead. It turned out that the other dentist didnt even do wisdom teeth removal, but his office still asked me to go in, even though I told them ahead of time that I was having wisdom teeth problem and wanted them to be removed. In lieu of treating me, they referred me to a dental surgeon, who cost 2,000 dollars for simple extraction of one tooth.Im not dismissing others (maybe-not-so-pleasant) experience with Dr. Airey, but I think Dr. Airey and his office deserve a nice review that reflects a genuine, good experience and a better overall rating than he got now. What I observed at the App Dental Care was that the patients were taken care of, and that Dr. Airey was truly helping people. Its a shame that people turn somewhere else solely because of the ratings, which was what I did. My advice is, read reviews carefully and think critically before making decisions, and not be blinded by the starry ratings.

I have always been afraid of going to the dentist. The shot was always the worst part for me. Ever since Dr Airey has worked on me, that fear has diminished. I never feel the injection! Dr Airey is extremely caring and gentle. He loves taking care of his patients making sure they are comfortable and having a fearless trip to the dentist.My mom is also a HUGE dental phobic; to the point where she will NOT call and make herself a dental appointment. I finally was able to get her in the office and she loves Dr Airey! She will actually call and schedule her own dental work. The dental office is still the last place she wants to be but she does so well with Dr Airey.

I would not recommend going to this dentist. They are very expensive, and it seems to be a common problem for them to recommend work that doesnt need to be done. My fiance and I went for an initial visit and they handed him a four page long care plan with a final cost of around $28,000, telling him that he needed to get seven teeth extracted. After getting a second opinion, we were told that he only needs to pull three. Also, they are very hard to work with financially. The staff isnt very friendly.

I met with Dr Airey in April to have some extractions and have new dentures made. Through a series of a minimum number of visits I had my new dentures made by Dr. Airey and his assistant, Kim last Wednesday. They fit perfectly and they look amazing. I am so greatful for the job they did and would recommend this procedure to anyone. The whole staff at Appalachian Dental Care are wonderful. Thank you again for a job well done...I ate my first steak today!

Fabulous dentist and staff. I had 4 crowns down in the last 3 weeks and the kindness and compassion they showed to this scarify cat was above and beyond.

I had broken my top partial. I went into this office and I was treated with nothing but respect that Dr. airy and the lady that was helping him. Most of the girls are very friendly and very polite. Two weeks after getting a partial repaired it broke again no part of my time and no fault of the dentist it just broke it’s old that’s what happens when things get out they break or get wore out. I went back to see if they could repair it again . I’m very nicely and very sweetly they did repair it. I Find his work to be quality work. He is nothing but professional has a great sense of humor. Only issue I had was the girl at the very front when you walk in she acted like I was disturbing her whole day. I don’t know if it’s because I’m poor Arby’s because find his work to be quality work. ATTENTION: THEY FALSIFIED MY X-RAYS TO SHOW CAVITIES IN AN ATTEMPT TO OVERCHARGE SERVICES. After a routine cleaning and x-rays (was told there was problems with x-ray machine and had to redo it 3 times), I was told that I had 2 cavities that I needed to get removed at another appointment. I was very skeptical and wanted to get them taken out at another dentistry. New dentistry says that they refused to fax the x-rays over, so I file HIPAA and other paperwork to force them. After the new place looks at my teeth, they say that I actually have 0 cavities, despite having unusual-looking x-rays of what looks like evidence of cavities. This was confirmed by taking a new x-ray, which showed that I didnt have cavities. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET SCAMMED, DO NOT GO HERE. Weirdest experience ever.

DECEITFUL AND DISRESPECTFUL!! I enjoyed my time with my hygienist and Dr. Airey, but when scheduling my appointment I asked ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS if they accepted my insurance and all times I was given false information which resulted in receiving a bill. Calling to question the bill the staff was also EXTREMELY rude.

Dr. Airey has been my dentist since 2010 and I have nothing but good things to say about his work. He removed my wisdom teeth a few months back and I have recovered just fine. I am thankful for how friendly he is along with his friendly staff.

My visit to this Dental practice was not good. Here is why.The hygentist was EXTEMELY RUDE (DS) she told me i did not take care of my gums in a round about way, she is wrong.Then she proceeded to tell me about a new tool that would help me massage my gums. Well, guess what ?, The Beatles broke up too !. She gave me a rubber tip instrument and said this will help. Im 66 years old , this is not my first visit to a Dentist, my teeth are in good shape for my age. Her attitude was negative , very condisending , I almost left her standing . In short anyone looking for a Dentist , do not go here. They perform unnecessary exams and paper work.Move on.

I did not really have any major issues with this dentist until here recently when I realized they had lied to me. I quit seeing them a few years back when I realized I was being a little over charged in comparison to the place my husband was going called Mountain Town Dental. I had braces when I was a teenager and have had some movement in my upper teeth. When I was seeing Dr. Airey I had asked him how we could fix this. He said there was no way other than to put braces back on again that they were just too bad. I am now on my last month of my ONLY five month long smile direct club aligner treatment and my teeth are looking phenomenal. I would not trust this dentist or recommend him to anyone especially after reading the facts surrounding his license suspension (in 2007) on the NC dental boards website.

Rude staff. They had favorites. Went to get a second opinion of my xrays taken. The other dentist said they didnt see the issues that were described to me from the x-rays. They also said that I was over charged. Not happy. When the other office called to get my xrays so I could get a second opinion. I was dropped from there office for doing so and got no explanation. I also tried and texted the Dr. and never got a response. Do research before using this dentist.

Dr. Airey owns and (very poorly) manages Watauga Mini Warehouse in Deep Gap, NC.My experience with this storage facility has been extremely poor. Their customer service is non existant. They do not return phone calls, messages, do no maintenance to their units, and fail to perform required maintenance as requested by customers to fill their rental agreements. They have also overcharged me for rent, and so far have been unresponsive in remedying the situation. I would never recommend anyone to use their units. Stay away. Call Wildcat self storage instead

My first visit with dr airey was a memorable one. I awoke with a broken tooth. Called my dentist only to be told sorry hes on vacation and it will be 2 months! I remember seeing dr aireys billboard on 105. I called and was so amazed how his staff went well beyond and scheduled me that morning. Arrived and was taken back and greeted by the sweetest kindest staff. Dr. Airey not only assured me the tooth could be saved and repaired, he and his assistants skipped their lunch break to get it fixed. Perfectly, painlessly andCompassionately. This dentist and his staff are THE finest in the high country.

Dr. Airey should not be allowed to practice. In fact, he lost his license several years ago and has been working at rebuilding his practice ever since.He is careless and always rushing from room to room while simultaneously conducting several serious procedures on different patients. He completely screwed up an implant for me and also adjusted my bite, grinding my teeth down to nubs. Now, Im worse off than I was before. If you care about your teeth, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

This office does not know how to schedule. I waited almost an hour before I was seen. This place is also way over priced. I would not advise anyone to come here.

I went to this dentist staff was friendly during my appointment. Afterward received a bill that I owe lots of money to this office and my insurance company sent me a receipt saying they had been paid in full. So I called office staff was very rude didnt want listen to me said that insurance company didnt pay anything.

He caused a problem with a tooth and then tried to charge me to fix the problem his incompetence caused. He is also expensive for sub par work. Worst dentist I have ever been to.
