I would not give this store half a star. Managers dont know how to even resolve a simple door installation problem. Paid for an installation and was told repetitively by both personnel and managers I would be satisfied with the door schedule installation. Waited three weeks and still cant get it scheduled even though doors are on site. Also employee did not have sample of rustic cabinet and it was so poor in knots, Labeling a cabinet rustic should have been labeled full of holes.

I used Home Depot to order bamboo hardwood flooring for a home remodel. I originally went into the store to order the large quantity of flooring and ensure it was the correct kind (click lock, etc..). Had I known I could order it online, I would have done it myself. The flooring associate whose name was Rita was rude to another customer while I waited about 30 minutes to see her. When it was finally my turn to speak to Rita, she offered a consistent amount of attitude and little helpfulness, and badmouthed other customers. However, I completed the order and paid a decent price so I was happy.Fast forward three weeks when 24 of the 25 boxes of flooring arrived. The flooring boxes were stacked on a pallet in 4 neat rows, 6 boxes high, and there should have been one more individual box to make an even 25, but, we were told that box didnt arrive with the others. Because they said it was a vendor issue they re-ordered the last box and we also ordered an additional two boxes for our contractor for good measure. About a week and a half later these three boxes arrived at the store and we were given a call. When they were brought from receiving, all three boxes were badly damaged and several flooring pieces in each box were broken and unusable. The customer service associate was gracious enough to refund us for the boxes. We went to the flooring department and spoke to Rita again about the broken boxes. She explained to us that when the boxes are shipped individually like that rather than on a large pallet, it is normal for them to arrive broken; she left unsaid that the reason was mishandling. I said, So, do your customers just expect their boxes to arrive broken then when they order small quantities like this? and I didnt ask it maliciously, but I wanted to know if customers at the Home Depot simply dont expect quality, much less for their merchandise to arrive intact. Rita turned to me and said angrily, SIR, I explained to you what happens when these boxes ship individually... I bit my tongue, lest I anger her any further. I went home and ordered the remaining boxes online. However, this is not the end! A few days earlier I received an 8 ft. long T Mold transition piece I had picked up from the store. I hadnt opened the box to inspect it because the box was intact, however after seeing the broken boxes in the store, I thought it would be best to take a look. I opened it to find it broken in half, and not evenly. The piece is a solid piece of bamboo and a durable one at that, and whatever force broke it in half inside that box must have been tremendous. Somebody would have basically had to have bent it in half.If I had read a story like this before I had decided to purchase flooring at a big box store, I would have seriously re-considered which store I went to. And Home Depot is not even installing it, this is the mess I have run into simply from ordering it there! The short of it is, I am extremely disappointed in the whole experience. I had nothing against Home Depot previously, but now I feel dread at the prospect of having to order anything else from there for my remodel. I feel like I have to plan not only for the time it takes to ship the item, but the additional time it will take to ship a new item to replace the broken item. The one positive note I will say, is that I like the flooring we have received. It is a hand scraped bamboo, click-lock, dark mahogany color and it looks very nice in our house. It feels and looks to be made of quality material.
