This placed is closed currently but should reopen in the future. I was there to.work on the mechanical systems. Still have to upkeep an unoccupied building. It looks to be a very nice civic center with a basket ball court, dance studio, tons of workout equipment including some free weights. Pool tables, ping pong and other games and accessories. Child day care facilities with the attached indoor pool someone else runs.
There is an old creepy guy walking around, never exercises and just stares at people, that’s so cringe and making girls feel uncomfortableGrey hair, beard, eyeglasses, always hangs out near the counter jeez
The aquatic center was very humid. I dont know why they dont open the roof to lower the temperature. The smell of bleach is also very overpowering. The life guards are very observant. They jumped in and saved a kid who couldnt keep above water. The facility was very clean.
Roy Blunt YMCA closed last year due to covid and was sold to the city of Bolivar aquatic and rec center. The reason for hating the YMCA is because it no longer exists in Bolivar Missouri.
The water was actually warmer than expected, a balmy 85 degrees farenheight.

Not impressed. All except 1 or 2 of the employees were extremely rude. I witnessed two of the employees making out. So disappointing.
My family loves this place, they always have fun. The lifeguards always do a good job keeping an eye on everything and keeping it safe. I only wish they were open more in the fall.

Love it! This gym is my happy place I can go there, work out like crazy and I never get judgmental looks or anything, people are very friendly and the trainers are very kind! I havent been to any classes yet but Im sure theyre just as wonderful! 10/10 its kept clean as well!
Great exercise equipment. Memberships are not affordable for seniors. Very nice facility and super friendly staff.
Love this place! Couldnt ask for a better gym. Staff are very attentive and helpful. The womens locker room is nice and clean. Its never crowded when I go.
Another great time with family. Absolutely wonderful place for kids to play. If you arent going in the water its free and just $3 for kids.

Awesome place to work out and then jump in the pool. If you go to lift weights though and you need chalk I recommend bringing your own because I dont think they have any there or at least I couldnt find any.
Decent place to workout, but theyre more pricey and the hours can sometimes be a pain to work around. It can also get crowded in there really quickly, so if youre people shy in regards to working out, this may not be a suitable place for you.

I love working out here because there are plenty of treadmills and Studio 2 is an enclosed area to workout privately. It makes me feel more comfortable.
I didnt care for this place. It was crowded and loud when we were visiting. My teenagers were asked to do a swimming test 2 and a half hours after getting there. They had been swimming the entire time. No mention of this was made of this when we paid for entrance. This was the first time. The next time I had to intervene and hunt someone down to get it done for my 8yr old. That was a lengthy wait while several guards seemed to be debating on who was going to do it. It didnt appear they had cleaned the restroom in quite a while. This was the case serveral times I visited. Its relatively cheap but not really worth the price. Had these visits not been on really rainy days I would have just opted to go to the lake.
Had so much fun and didnt cost a fortune.
The YMCA has a lot of programs for all ages and multiple areas in the building. They have weight machines, treadmills, those bike machine things, a yoga room, a basketball room, and a fantastic pool next door. The workers are usually friendly and the bathrooms are always clean.
Beautiful pool, the gym has good equipment, and they can watch your kids while you work out or enjoy the water.

Good and affordable place to go swimming. It gets a little hot and crowded on a hot summer day. The concrete floor is really slippery when wet. In two hours I seen several people slip and fall.
Very accommodating beautiful facility. Saturday night there is a wonderful country dance with different bands all run by volunteers.
Wonderful opportunity for a small community. There are a few small complaints, but the person who gave a one star rating is a TOTAL moron. My biggest complaint/suggestion is to have a separate sound-proofed area for free weights so the young studs can bang their plates to their hearts content whilst we old folks can do our mellow cardio/machines in relative peace.
Great place to work out and fitness train. I have been an active member for eight years. If you belong to one Y you belong to them all nation wide.
This is a very nice gym. The indoor pool is beautiful. The staff for the gym and pool are very nice and helpful.

I like the fact that it is family driven, and supports the local community. It provides great machines to work out with and my family and I are able to work all muscle groups in a safe environment.

Some of the life gaurds are rude as heck. Defininatly no respect to adults whatsoever. The staff in the snack area were amazing. The pregnant lady back there was rocking it.

The indoor waterpark is awesome! Plenty of lifeguards on standby. Lazy river, vortex, giant waterslide, diving board, rock wall, and more! My daughter and i absolutely love this place on hot summer days!

I have been to a significant number of gyms and workout centers in 3 states. I cant believe that little Bolivar,MO has one of the nicest facilities I have been in.
Love that I can play Pickleball there on Sundays.
