I was interested in seeking dental service from this facility specifically because of their advanced technology and because it was owned & operated by people of color. I received mindful care that was respectful, kind and concise. The team at Sunrise Dental work together like family and I felt like guest in a home more than a patient in a waiting room. The facility itself was fresh, clean & well decorated while still maintaining a homey feel (the bathroom decor was especially nice).I first called to receive pricing information: it was later in the day and close to closing but I was still met with kindness over the phone. The information was helpful as I had recently moved states and hadnt transferred over my insurance. I was able to receive a ballpark in pricing which made for further ease in arranging emergency service. The pricing was good and to be expected for out of pocket dental work (they were very delicate and aware in their handling of the money conversation which is appreciated since it can be uncomfortable to discuss for some).My wisdom tooth extraction was smooth and painless, aftercare was attentive & the check in phone calls were very considerate. I got exactly what I wanted and more. I felt like I left knowing more about my teeth which is very important in regards to care, its easy to neglect something you dont know much about. Teeth are very sensitive and close to nerves, the doctor made sure to walk me through each procedure to reassure me that there would only be minimal discomfort for maximum results.As a person of color, I especially chose this dentist as I have had disrespectful interactions with healthcare providers in the past. I didnt want another white male doctor as they tend to be more disregarding of peoples comfort (depending on the peoples). This is something I have experienced my whole life so I am especially grateful for the professionalism of this facility. I felt I was treated well and better as my visits continued.I would recommend and return to Sunrise Dental Service, not only for great care but also for its location. Absolutely an amazing experience from start to finish. My 15 year old son got invisalign here - which turned out to be SO much better than braces (I had the worst 3 year experience with braces) - his treatment was quick (one year), painless and barely an inconvenience. The check ups are super quick and they were professional, courteous and friendly the entire time. I recommend this group to anyone who needs to straighten their teeth!! On April 25th, a Sunday, Dr. Makadia, Mona & Jesse were there for anyone who needed their services. This office is so clean & sterile following the guidelines for everyones safety.I was in intense pressure & pain from an exposed nerve in need of help. Dr. Makadia was so gental, so sweet & very patient. Walking me through everything he was doing to bring me much needed relief from this major pain. Within what seemed to be moments he provided me with a crooked smile (due to my numbness) & tears of joy. I can not thank him & his staff enough. Ive been in search of a dentist I could call My Dentist for years. I made an appointment for shear convenience and hit the jackpot! Very nice people and did a good job cleaning but something is off about how they run things. I called to see if they take my insurance before going in a while ago and they said they did, but not knowing they meant they weren’t in network but would take it out of network. When I was there they told me I needed a crown because my tooth was cracked and they showed me in a photo. They claimed it’s usually “this amount” but they’ll discount it to this lower price. I declined after I got the hint that I wasn’t actually in network and went to another dentist who is and they told me the tooth is fine and isn’t cracked and they just needed to fix my old filling. Seems like they are pulling sketchy tactics to get money from patients. Won’t go back because of that

My teeth had become very crooked, especially the lower, and 18 months later, after using Invisalign under Dr. Makadias care, my teeth are once again perfect. I also was very impressed with how safe I felt going to this office during the corona virus outbreak. They did a great job insuring the office was germ free and had one patient at a time in the office. I recommend this dental office.

Eveything is discussed upfront, all my questions are answered. Dr. truly loves his work and it shows by how caring and respectful he is. He is also a dental artist he makes ugly teeth beautiful again. My pain tolerance is very low, like zero, but he always checks to make sure I dont feel discomfort during my visit. Plus he told me that I will need to comeback for gum problems that were neglected by my other doctor l( from the neighborhood)!! He told me that my pain and problems are result of my neglected gums!! Dr. Makadia is a great dentist. I got a tooth extraction done with him and everything went well, he is very detailed, I loved how he explained the procedure. After the extraction I had minor bleeding and I didn’t have to take any pain pills. Dr makadia and his staff makes sure you are comfortable and not in any pain at all times. I had the procedure done on a Friday, he called me on Saturday and told me that I could call him Sunday if I had any concerns. He’s great I would give him 100 start if possible :)

After avoiding a dentist for over 10 years, I went to Dr Makadia in severe pain from not 1 but 2 broken teeth. Everyone in the office was so accommodating and kind. 2 root canals later...I still love them. No pain what so ever. Just got my permanent crowns put in today and scheduled to go back soon for a full check up. Best dental experience Ive ever had!

If there was an option to provide no stars, I would. Although the staff is very friendly, there is a sense that you will get ripped off one way or another with their billings with the insurance company. Services that are included within your plan and are in-network, are over priced and the balance move onto the patient to pay weeks after services are done. If you are still willing to go to this dentist, get pre-estimates to all services and everything on paper.I do not recommend as its more of a headache then a mouth cleaning.

I found an amazing dentist! I have been terrified to go to the dentist ever since I was little, always putting it off. However, this was a completely different experience. I called at 4pm and by 430 they were able to see me. I was in the most excruciating pain, tears running down my face. When I walked in the office I was immediately taken in the back, the Dr numbed my mouth so I was able to talk. He then took the time to explain to me in detail what work i needed done. While other dentists told me i needed to pull my tooth , he was able to save it. I had 2 root canals done and felt absolutly no pain after. I worked within 2 hours after the novacain wore off. I will never go to another office again. Thank you! I will be sure to tell everyone what an amazing dentist this is!

This dentist told my son 1 price of $3,500 for lower Dentures and told me $2,600 my son who lives out of state was paying for me to get teeth he overcharged my son had to go back 4 times because the teeth hurt last visit 1 of the teeth he pulled a piece of tooth was sticking thru my gum and really hurt when i had the Dentures in so without numbing my gum he took cutting pliers & cut the tooth i almost went out of the chair in pain he told me to toughen up now 1 week later the piece of tooth stuck out again now he wants to charge me again to cut it also he filed the new teeth down to make room for this piece that was sticking out and he wore a hole thru the new Dentures also he told me top Dentures would cost another $3,000 he told my son top and bottom Dentures would cost another $1,500 he should change the name of his business to DR PAIN i wouldnt bring my dogs to this guy hes a terrible DOCTOR im going to complain to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU he knew my son was out of state told him $1,000 more than he told me hes a rip off

About 20 years ago I first visited Dr. Makadia as I was unhappy with my then dentist and now all the members of my family are Dr. Makadias patients. What more can I write about Dr. Makadia and his courteous staff as this itself speaks volume of his work and after care of his patients. Even though this is my personal opinion I would strongly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a dentist and then that person can form an opinion of their own for which, I am pretty sure , will be the same as mine.

I called the office at 4:25 as a new patient, the receptionist asked if I was in pain, I said yes excruciating pain she said where are you and I happened to be on sunrise she said come at 4:45 I got there they took me in immediately took X-rays and the dentist explained my options and prices very throughly and 20 minutes later the tooth was out ! I had my normal dentist having me wait WEEKS in pain and they had the tooth out within an hour of calling and they were extremely friendly and cared solely about getting me out of pain !! AMAZING PLACE, AMAZING PEOPLE !! 10 stars if I could !!!
