I came to Health-Fit several years ago for an issue with my hip which was not getting better after I had visited another PT. I found Health-Fit and took a chance on them, as I was willing to try anything. Dr. Christie was able to identify the underlying problem very soon after initial consult and exam, and the physical therapy exercises I did on-site and at home helped me greatly, where I have not had issue since. When my knee was in great pain a few months ago, I knew this was the only place to go. Im a 66 year old woman who was working out and started suffering from extreme sciatic pain. I also have a herniated disk in my neck which causes headaches. After having shin splints bring my run training to a complete halt, Dr. Christie made it possible to run again. Using active release technique combined with a run-gait analysis, I was running again in just a couple of weeks. I have been a member of Health-fit for a month now, and I would like to share my experience, a very positive experience. When I moved to Boca Raton 6 month ago my 62 year old body was hurting, bordering on constant chronic pain and discomfort. Dr Christie and his entire team are incredible at what they do. I’ve been going there for the past 8 years and couldn’t imagine using anyone else. I had visit two different Chiropratic offices to work on my shoulder problem. I explained that my funds were limited and that my insurance only covered an certain amount. But they were unsuccessful at fixing my problem and over charged me. Dr Alex Wasserman at Health-fit after the first visit had my range of motion improve 35% and more than the other offices. With in 2 1/2 months i had greater range of motions then before I injured my shoulder. I had a great time in my visits, they were professional funny fast and entertains. I have had experience working with Dr. Scott Hoar, and I can say that he is a great Chiropractor. He helped me understand that my low back pain was due to poor ankle movement in my left foot, and my pain is completely resolved. I competed at the 2017 Crossfit Games and if it wasnt for Health Fit Chiropractic, I truly dont think I wouldve been able to go. I had been battling a shoulder injury, but thanks to the therapy I recieved, in particular cryotherapy, 2-4 times per week, I really felt great. Cryotherapy put my body into a state of recovery and significantly reduced the inflammation that was keeping me from training and even from getting a good nights sleep. I was referred to Health Fit by a respected member of the gym I went to. Having dealt with chronic glute and hip pain for almost 3 years, I decided it was time to get a professional involved. I was at the point where I could only run about 30 minutes before my hip would hurt badly enough that I would either limp or have to stop running completely. Dr. Christie addressed the issue in my hip, my QL and my knee. He did not make me stop running, but through consistent treatment for a month, as well as take-home exercises, I was running my longest distance in over 2 years completely pain free. I subsequently threw out my back (an unrelated issue) and had to get in right away with Dr. Wasserman who was also great and had me running again in 5 days (when I saw him the day after the incident I couldnt even stand up straight). If you are an active person who takes your overall health and fitness seriously, they need to be part of your team. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and very easy to work with, and accommodating with appointments.
