I want to take a moment to thank the team at Midwest Hospice from the bottom of my heart for the excellent and compassionate care they provided to our family during a most difficult time. They transformed a very difficult situation into one that was very comfortable for the patient and a huge relief for our entire family. The Midwest Hospice family is definitely the “A-team” for sure. From the nurses to the leadership, no one could ask for a more caring experience. It was clear to our family that their work is not just a “job” for them as they genuinely care. The entire organization is energetic, positive, and operated with the utmost integrity! The chaplain provided the spiritual care and support for our entire family. No request was ever viewed as demanding nor excessive.Watching our loved one pass was a painful process. The staff at Midwest Hospice knew exactly the best way to assist our family in this journey. Midwest Hospice caregivers are compassionate people doing amazing work — that is the bottom line. I highly recommend Midwest Hospice’s services to anyone in the local area who is looking for hospice care.Again, THANK YOU!!!

Recently my father was admitted into Sub-Acute care in West Chester, Ohio. The facility where he was staying asked me which hospice company I wanted for his care. My choice, which was not under contract for this facility, was Midwest-Hospice. Midwest-Hospice secured a contract for care at the facility and provided excellent care for my father. They also treated my wife and I like family during a very tough time in our lives. I would highly recommend Midwest-Hospice for patient care!

It has been just shy of a year since the passing of my Dad. My sister and I trusted this company with both our Mom and our Dad. Little did I know what am challenging time in my life this would be. We spent quite sometime speaking to Tara about this service and what to possibly expect as our parents declined. As hard as it was to hear, her care and compassion put us at peace with the decision. Throughout the process my father declined quicker then my mother, who was definitely challenging at times. The Chaplin and Social Service Worker were very present and my parents really took peace in that. There were several hurdles and we could always count on Tara to support us. Even during the middle of the night emergencies. My father passed in peace with the support of these individuals. Of course this was incredibly sorrowful time for our family. They lightened our load by adding extra time and support for my mother. Advocates for what was best for her is not a strong enough statement and we will cherish that forever.

This is a great company with amazing staff. They were so helpful and compassionate while caring for my grandma. The entire team was so upfront with what we should expect through this process. We were blessed to have them through this challenging time.

What can I say about Midwest Hospice except they are the most caring and unbelievable group of people I have had the privilege to deal with. Mom was 93 with severe Dementia (and other complications) when Covid broke out and we were no longer able to see her. Sherry became our eyes and ears, but more importantly, she became moms loved one. She visited with mom, not just as her nurse but as a caring individual who acted as daughter in our absence. She painted nails and curled her hair so she felt pretty again, put lotion on her after a shower. During moms dying phase Sherry was with us throughout the process and not only comforted mom but explained each step to prepare us along the way. Once mom passed, Sherry stayed with her until they came to pick her up so we would not have to be there for that. Anyone going thru this very difficult process, should most definitely contact Midwest Hospice, they were a Godsend to us and I have no doubt they will be the same for everyone else. Its just how they are.

I recently attended the service for my friends Father. Cecil their Chaplain stood up & spoke for a good 15-20 minutes & I can assure you that it was darn near the worst 15-20 minutes of my life (& that of several people sitting with me)! Instead of celebrating his life (which mind you he admittedly said he didnt know the deceased)! His words were so insulting that I was outraged! He said, It didnt matter if this man was given too much medication! Why would he even mention something like that? Guilt perhaps? He said, It didnt matter if we werent good people, God will still love you. WTH? Was he trying to say the deceased wasnt a good person? It was so awful & this organization should be ashamed of themselves!! I wouldnt recommend them to care for any living thing; ever!! Truly inappropriate & insulting!!!

Nothing but wonderful things to say about Midwest Hospice. My aunt was cared for by Midwest Hospice for several months before her passing and the process was great throughout. The admissions person really made us feel great from the very start as it showed that her true greatest concern was only that my aunt would be as comfortable as possible and that this process would be as smooth as it could possibly be for our family. We did meet with some of the bigger hospice companies and it was very clear that patient was not their biggest concern as all they wanted to do was move her from her facility into one of their own (trying to make every single dime they possibly could off my aunt rather than do what was best for her.) Thank God we met with Midwest as it is abundantly clear that as a smaller company their main concern is patient care from the admission process all the way to my aunts passing.I cannot say enough amazing things about this company and everyone involved in my Aunts care from the admissions lady to the nurses caring for my Aunt.THANK YOU MIDWEST HOSPICE!!!!

They claim the patient is the primary focus. Ha! Money is, without a doubt, their primary focus. If the patient were the focus, then they wouldn’t have dropped my mom as a hospice patient the first chance they got claiming she required “too aggressive” of treatment despite her situation having not changed since we first spoke. She still is terminal with only a few months left to live. She’s in constant pain, throws up daily, and can’t take anything by mouth. Midwest said she is better suited under home health (after treating her for a month). She can’t receive the pain pump under home health, so please tell me how she is better off that way when she can’t swallow pain pills? I had high hopes for this hospice, and as with most things in life, I was let down.I should also add that they didn’t even have the audacity to tell us themselves. We had to find out the day before my mom was discharged from the hospital and scramble to figure out what we were going to do next. How’s that for putting the patient first?

Great Company. I spoke with the CEO regarding my grandfather, he personally made sure he had the best care. The staff was really great! I would recommend Midwest Hospice.
