Dr. Wirtz is an amazing urologist. I saw him after a visit to the emergency department with a diagnosis of kidney stones and after lithotripsy one week before. I had laser surgery scheduled the next morning of the 3rd ED trip with Dr. Wirtz. He answered my numerous questions with extreme patience and caring. Post op I have seen him twice, he has had the same demeanor. The last visit was to get to the bottom of why my body produces stones. He went over the test results carefully to my understanding. I would recommend Dr. Wirtz to anyone having urology issues. As a health care professional, I have seen many different doctors and their interactions with patients. Dr. Wirtz receives my highest recommendation.

Dr. Wirtz rushes patients through like an assembly line. Overbooks so you are waiting two hours to see him. Has a female NP show up unannounced during surgery recovery for males. Very embarassing and so unacceptable. Look elsewhere for a urologist.
