I have high respect for essential workers so I watch the work they do and make sure I am cheerful during my interactions with them. I watched a cashier consistently initiate greetings with customers ahead of me and when it was my turn, silence.I greeted the lady first with a Good Morning which she reluctantly responded. As I bagged my groceries, I could hear she went back to initiating greetings.I hope its a fluke but I also believe consistency is key in providing a positive customer experience.

The service of this store has gotten worst. There was this one deli worker that worked there that never greeted me upon arriving or thanking me for my order. One deli worker tried to hide when I came up to the counter. Also today one of the deli workers seem more occupied with putting a cold package together and when he approached, did not greet me. They ran out of what I wanted. As a result, I will be shopping at other stores. There was a childish worker that was talking behind my back.

Ridiculous prices for produce that isn’t the kind of quality that the prices would suggest. Despite half-baked efforts to go upscale, Cub is still a discount grocery store and it feels like one. There are better, Fresher stores where you can get herbs like Thyme etc along with every other produce item for close to half what you’d pay at this Cub.

Great products and clean store but I went there yesterday for essential groceries and saw over a half dozen employees with their masks not covering their nose. Ive also had to ask the cashier to wipe the belts the last two times I shopped there despite there being signs on the registers stating that they wipe them between each customer. The Wait Here stickers on the ground for registers are also placed directly in the middle of high foot traffic aisles so you have other customers bumping into you as you wait, completely defeating the point.I wish they cared enough about the safety of their customers to take the most basic precautions seriously. All the product selection in the world cant erase the feeling that Im literally risking my life to shop here. Be better.

Pros: They carry King Arthur flour, which Kowalskis doesnt for some reason; and they carry two-pound logs of Tillamook cheddar, the best US-made cheese Ive ever had.Cons: Cans of food here are often dented or battered; I think thats harmless, but Ive read enough stories of Victorian explorers to wonder. The fruits and vegetables arent the best here either, in either freshness or variety. But still, Kowalskis doesnt carry King Arthur flour, so I honestly went here more often than not, back when I was in Minnesota!

Good place to shop, reasonably priced, though not the lowest, yet not bad also. Rewards program is not very good compared to other places. Unless you spend 100$ you will miss the 10c off per gallon gas discount. It is not prorated like other places. Other than that, its a decent place to shop. Good middle of the road option because of the plenitude of locations.

This cub is clean and friendly. I’m here from 6-9 am biweekly to shop for vulnerable adults. Employees around the store not fully masked, especially in the fresh deli, bakery, and meat areas where they are handling clients’ food. Spoke with manager Scott three times about this. His response was that they usually pull their masks up when they see him coming. He did circulate and tell people to put their masks on and they took them off shortly after he moved on. Though I’m not usually picky about this the clientele we service are vulnerable elders and I’m a teacher about to go back into classrooms. I can’t come back and volunteer under these circumstances.

Over the years I have shopped at a number of Cub Foods locations. This location far exceeds any other I have ever visited. The store is kept very clean and the staff has always been extremely helpful. I was recently checking out when the cashier, Amanda noticed the cheese I had selected appeared to have some mold on it...She pointed it out to me and told me to go ahead and grab a new one before I leave. I don’t think the staff at many other stores take the time to actually look out for customers like that. I highly recommend this Cub Foods.UPDATE: THIS LOCATION WILL NOT ENFORCE THE MASK POLICY. ALL MOUTH BREATHERS ARE WELCOME HERE. COME SPREAD YOUR COVID COUGH THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN AT THIS LOCATION!

Well stocked store, really like the deli department but the checkout lines are often very long to the point of being unreasonable. Unless you don’t mind waiting in line for 15+ minutes avoid at all costs during peak hours. The self checkout lines can also be really long and are a hassle if you have fruit or vegetables. I was in line for 25 minutes today with 4 lanes open and a lot of workers milling around that could have opened up an additional lane.

So I bought a bag of grapefruits 2 to 3 days ago. I went in looking for what I thought would be a tasty treat to find a nasty moldy grapefruit. 3 out of the 6 grapefruits in the entire bag were moldy. This hasnt been the first time Ive received rotten fruit from Cub. I called the store and talked to the manager Scott. I had mentioned my complaint, I even stated that I am calling cooperate. You mean to say, it went bad fast? NO! I mean to say its MOLDY! This is where he added that cub has a return guaranteed on bad food. I would take the offer but unfortunately I dont want any of their moldy food. Expensive and rotten foods should be their name. I feel bad for the employee who work and eat there.Update 07/25/2021Upcharged on almost if not expired items. Golden stars to Cub for being absolute trash and money hungry

I like Cub Foods because they have an incredible variety of fresh canned boxed and Frozen groceries. The one thing I can never figure out is why they have the fresh meats refrigerated products and Frozen Foods at the beginning of your shopping experience. Logically if you grab the Frozen and refrigerated stuff first by the time you get to the end of shopping for your canned and boxed another sundry items your Frozen Foods going to start to thaw out. Just doesnt make sense the way Cub Foods have their stores arranged.

Their produce is 2-3x more expensive than other grocery stores. That is the primary reason that I rarely go there. They have an enormous meat dept. and yet none of it looks very good. I basically stop there once a month and buy pickles. I probably sound crazy but they have a very diverse selection of pickles and thats the only reason I ever shop there.Edit: I stopped in to Cub and saw that they had Remoulade Sauce on sale. I thought of buying some until I noticed that every, EVERY jar had expired two months prior. The sell by date(not the freshness date) had expired and the sauce looked discolored and faded. Despite that they still wanted to make a buck off of expired food instead of doing the right thing and throwing it out. Sorry Cub(not sorry) you just got dropped to one star.

Great grocery store, I dont need fancy at a grocery store considering Im going there to buy food, not look around at decor or whatever (Andrea, if you want fancy go to Byerlys or something). I took my dad and Aunt shopping there today around noon. My dad was looking for something special he liked in the bakery and he couldnt find it. My dad continued on his way and the young man approached me to ask if he could help me find something. I tried to describe what he wanted, he knew right away what he needed and went back and had them baked awhile we shopped. On our way out another young man from the bakery came up and told us when we get home we should open the box so they dont get soggy. Two people went out of their way to make this a wonderful shopping experience. Clean well stocked store with awesome customer service!! Thank you!

They routinely run out of common stock items. The place looks dingy and dirty all the time even if the floors have been cleaned, it reminds me of a Wal-Mart. It has a very poor selection of overpriced organic/non gmo goods. They have as few cashiers as possible so there are long lines and the even the self checkout gets backed up. They dont bag groceries for you so if you have a lot to bag you have to scramble before the other people in line check out. The prices are no better and often more expensive than other grocery stores that actually have a nice interiors and bag your groceries for you. It gets 2 stars because I can walk to it from my house and its open 24 hours a day.

Was your average Cub Foods, especially on a Saturday. It was busy and seemed very clean. The register wasnt working at the deli which we had gone in specifically for. So the young man working wasnt prepared to deal with any technical issues.

Big store, more stuff then Walmart or Target. Very good Deli, and bakery. Fresh meat with Butcher on duty during day. Fresh produce really looks pretty good. Produce can still be perfectly fine but not presented well can appear un appetizing. Walmart? Quite large again as in previous reviews might be hard for people with limited Mobility. Really like this store just for the varieties they have they dont have any other stores. Mid-price range between super box stores and the likes Byerlys and Lunds. Liquor store, Bank, Pharmacy, and fresh cut flowers in store. Doesnt make much sense to go to big box super stores to save a few dollars and not get what you really want. Which in my case usually means something the excellent Bakery or the excellent Deli far superior to the box stores. Have specialty items in ethnic sections that you might find interesting they dont have in big box stores.

(AVOID AT ALL COSTS, you have been warned) If I could rate 0 I would do it a million times. Visited this Cubs because it was on the way home from where I was, and it was the worst decision ever made. I needed some produce, bread and some tortillas, to start, the tomatoes were $2.49 per lb., which is too expensive for tomatoes ( I usually get them at $0.99 at Cubs on Nicollet Ave) the same with onions, they were almost $2.00 per lb but I really needed to get them to cook as soon as I get home so I kinda got over it. Then I had to pick up the bread, and me being a busy mom I always check on expiration dates because I just dont have time to go grocery shopping every day ( Im sure you dont have that spare time either) well there was a problem with the bread too, it will expire in the next few days but it wasnt marked down or anything it was $3.49 ( I usually get it at the other Cubs for like $1.89 or so) so I actually passed on the bread because that just wouldnt work for me. Then I proceeded to get tortillas and also ended up passing on them, and guess why?! They were expired!!! Yes they sure were expired for about a week by then ( Im sorry if you bought expired tortillas and didnt realize or bread). When I go to register to check out my produce, the cashier couldnt have been ruder. When he starts ringing up my things, OMG! The tomatoes came up on the register at $4.99, so I told him that he put the code wrong to which he doubled check and it wasnt so he called his supervisor and that lady said there wasnt a mistake so I told them to check their sign and in fact it was $2.49 per lb. But she claimed she couldnt overwrite the price that if I wanted them they were at $4.99 so I asked them to get the store manager which said the same thing. So after all that I just decided to leave. If you got to this part of the story its because you really care about a good experience when grocery shopping, AVOID at all costs, its not worth it. Visit the one in Minneapolis at 5937 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis MN 55419, youll thank me later.
