Dr. Sibai is wonderful! I really couldn’t recommend him enough. I had pain in my wrist and arm for quite a long time and he recommended cubital and carpal tunnel surgery. I’m about 7 weeks out from the surgery now and feel fantastic. He is very kind and always really listens to everything I have to say, which is hard to find. He’s a busy guy (because he’s great!) so a little wait getting in to see him, but it’s so worth it! Time for my next hand now ☺️

The care I received at IU Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine for a very badly broken finger was beyond amazing. The entire staff I dealt with treated me with such professionalism and support. My surgeon, Dr. Tarek Sibai, not only did an incredible job to reconnect the broken bone fragment, the supporting staff helped to put me so at ease. The follow up appointments and physical therapy have allowed me to regain more use and flexibility of that finger than I thought would ever be possible. And Dr. Sibai continued to check in on me at several those appointments. Oh what a happy day it was when he removed the wires and pins from my finger!! And I was honored to have some of the staff observe that procedure, since it appears their use is not too common. The encouragement and personal approach they had with me made such a significant impact on my confidence to keep a positive and proactive approach to my recovery. I can not thank them ALL enough. The receptionists, x-ray technicians, physical therapists, and any staff member I encountered in their office, are all a part of my quick healing!

Dr. Sibai and his colleagues repaired and rehabilitated my right hand after a nasty injury. He took extra time in surgery to make sure hed done everything possible for me, even though muscle repair is particularly tedious. Throughout my treatment, Dr. Sibai struck just the right balance of listening, caring, tolerating my sense of humor, answering my questions, and reassuring me that we always have options. On my first visit, his nurse told me he was the best. Since Im typing this with both hands, I think that nurse was right!

Based on my recent elbow surgery, I strongly recommend Dr Sibai! Before the procedure he told me exactly what to expect: what hed be doing and why, how long it would take, what the recovery period would be like. His explanations were clear and comprehensive, without medical jargon but also without condescension. Before and after the surgery he communicated directly with my other doctors to coordinate my care with them. Throughout the process--from the first consultation to the most recent check-up, he listened carefully to my concerns and questions. I have lived with rheumatoid arthritis for over 40 years and had countless surgeries, so Ive learned to appreciate a doctor who combines a high level of skill with respect for his patients experience, an ability to listen, and most importantly, genuine kindness. I am deeply grateful to have found Dr. Sibai and his staff.

From the beginning Dr Sibai was very open and willing to work with me. He stepped in on my first appointment with ortho even though it was not on his schedule and discussed with me the advantages and disadvantages of getting surgery in my case. The interesting thing was he never committed to anything specific being done as he said would he not know for sure till it is opened up what all would be necessary. But he thoroughly explained the worst case scenario, so that I was pleasantly surprised when I woke from surgery finding much of what he described turned out not to be necessary. Then 12 days after the surgery when the stitches were removed, I was dreading getting a solid permanent cast that would itch and need constant attention. But I was again pleasantly surprised with a removable brace and everything has been healing ahead of schedule ever since.

An outstanding surgeon! I had a very serious injury to my hand and required emergency surgery to reattach a severed tendon and severed nerve. Dr. Sibai talked me through the procedure step-by-step, answered all of my questions, and performed the surgery wonderfully. I had several months of physical therapy following the surgery, and the PT staff at Dr. Sibais clinic were helpful, supportive, and very professional throughout the entire experience. Six months later, my hand is almost fully healed with full range of motion and nearly full sensation in the damaged nerve, thanks to Dr. Sibais expertise and professionalism.
