Positives:Dr. Weindenbender has good bedside and seems to care about his patients. He explains what is happening, answers questions, addresses concerns, and asked me what I think of the options he gave for next steps. Ive seen him several times over a span of years and injuries and he is always friendly. He sent me to PT downstairs and I had a good experience there. Jeff in PT helped me do the exercises in correct form.Facility is always clean and well kept. The front staff is friendly and efficient with taking co-pays. The X-ray technician was great.Negatives:Wait times can be long so block out a couple hours for an apt. They arent always long but expect them to be and if they arent its a bonus.Dr. Linger had a visit in the room next to me, while waiting I heard the whole apt because the patient was hard of hearing and asked for the doc to talk loudly, and it made me upset for that patients lack of care. That doctor seemed cold, didnt addresses the patients concerns, and was dismissive. Perspective is it depends on the doctor you chose to see if you have a positive or negative experience.

Went to see Dr. Linger for a consult to join the Air Force. I was very impressed by the front staff, Radiology team, and Dr. Linger. They were all attentive, efficient, and kind. I was in and out of the office in a half hour with the report that I needed. Dr. linger was sure to accommodate my needs as a patient and I thank him and his team for helping me along towards my dream.

Weindenbender is a good doctor but the front office staff needs some help.Doc ordered lab work and I had other labs to do at bloomington hospital iu health, so why not get it done with just 1 draw. Iu health is a monopoly so they dont want to work with doctors out of iu health network so it makes it difficult for patients. It took 2 hrs to get blood work done because an order needed faxed. Iu health did not partner well with this office and the patient ended up with a poor experience because of it, 2 hours was unprofessional.

The office people are the rudest. Will not give my business after the disrespect they had for their patients. Doctor is great though.

Dr. Linger saw both myself & my husband within months of each other (2020 luck!) and we had an amazing experience. His bedside manner was both professional yet enjoyable, and he got us both back to living while keeping our health & healing as first priority. Also appreciate the office staff and nurses who always met us with friendly faces, even when we started wearing masks. Thanks Dr. Linger & team! Hope to never see you again (HA!) but wont be mad if we have to!

I was being seen by Dr linger for a knee Issue and possible surgery. I got an injection , went to Florida for a month and then returned for a follow up appointment to discuss my options. I waited 2 1/2 hours to see Linger who told me I was “ too old for surgery” ! I’m now being treated by Dr Tim Steiner at IU ortho who is never late and sees me right on time

The front office staff used to be great, I dont know where all the nice people went. The billing dept has gotten better and the doctors are still great. The wait time isnt the best, but i understand that surgeons do get behind sometimes. I would definitely go again

Awful experiences. Had to wait an hour and a half after my appointment time before seeing anyone. Dr Pannunzios bedside manner consisted of asking whether my PhD was remedial degree. Why?Billing experience has been bad too. Sent a check they claim to have never received. Website would not accept my account number.Avoid if you can.The lady who made my splint was super cheery and great. No one else seemed friendly there, wonder if theyre really overworked.

I liked Dr. Lingers style - listened, evaluated, didnt order testing just to make patient feel like something was done. A good physical exam and educated opinion is appreciated. Front desk team, nursing and xray tech also very efficient and personable.

I was a patient years ago of Dr. Weidenbener. After having my knee flare up last week I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Weidenbener. During the appointment he ordered an X-ray (on a Tuesday). He reviewed the X-ray with my husband and myself showing me where I had calcified cartilage floating in the back of my knee along with bone spurs, he acknowledging this was my source of pain and requires surgical attention. He stated to my husband and myself that I would need surgery but also wanted me to do an MRI to check for ligament damage first. I did the MRI two days later (Thursday) and wasnt called back until Monday morning. He then referred me to Dr. Linger.... the surgeon. Ha! Dr. Linger is perhaps the most arrogant person Ive ever met. He pushed on my knee...which I informed him hurt, looked at only the MRI, and then told me that I need 2 weeks of physical therapy. When I asked why Dr. Weidenbener suggested surgery he proceeded to say that Dr. Weidenbener isnt a surgeon and he knows more. Not only was I shocked at the lack of professionalism of hearing him discredit his colleague I was confused why I was told such different information by two doctors in the same office. He was dismissive of me and I left. I requested my medical records and will not return there.

If I could, Id give negative stars. This place will not treat my knee problems, saying theyre within the range of normal even though Im in severe pain. Also, block out about 3 hours after your appointment time. You probably wont get seen even close to that time. Dont come here if you enjoy having your doctors listen to you or if you have other things to do within 3 hours of your appointment time.

Dr. Dellaqua and his team are the BEST hand, arm and elbow group in Bloomington! Cant imagine being referred to any other bone clinic in town when you have the best at BB&J.

Steer clear if you have a latex allergy! Unfortunately latex gloves are used in this facility which makes it a life-threatening visit for anyone with a latex allergy. I look forward to the day when IU Health recognizes that every exposure to latex particles (in the air at any/every facility that stocks latex gloves) puts their patients and employees at risk. Just one particle of latex, smaller than a speck of dust, can trigger anaphylaxis in anyone sensitized to latex. Its like pollen. Every exposure to natural rubber latex increases the likelihood of developing this life-threatening allergy- and every exposure once sensitized builds upon itself. Come on, IU Health, you can do better than this!(The scheduling staff I spoke to was extremely helpful... but having to go to Indy for a couple of PT appointments is absurd, yet necessary in order for me to live.)

My husband, 2 of 4 daughters, and myself have been seen by Dr. Fox and Dr. Weidenbenner. Dr. Fox treated my 8 yr old daughter who had a painful compound arm fracture. He was patient, kind, and as tender as he could be under the circumstances. He also sees my husband and I for cortison shots in our aging knees. Ive recently seen Dr. W for a tibial stress fracture. Hes straightforward, sympathetic and goes thru all the options available. Its not a surgeons fault when emergencies come in and HAVE to be seen and that makes the rest of us wait. Life happens. If it was us and we were in pain, wed want to be seen NOW too. However, I do believe staff could be better at informing us when the drs are running behind as to whats going on and how much longer its going to be (approximately). To be honest, we have very good insurance and I also have Medicare so Ive never dealt with their billing dept. I have dealt with the front office, schedulers and nurses and theyre terrific! We will continue to use BBJC for all our bone needs. UPDATE: appointments dont run late like they did in the past. Theyve really changed scheduling & we rarely wait for then 10 minutes. Also, Dr. Fox retired couple months ago.

Drs. Weidenbener and Fox have cared for several orthopedic problems, most recently rotator cuff surgery by Dr. Fox, for several years. I have NEVER had ANY problems with their service, expertise, staff [therapy and administrative/billing] or any other problems. I recommend Bone and Joint to friends and family.

I injured my finger in a basketball game. It was a pretty bad sprain, and I was worried about whether it would recover without medical intervention. My appointment was like 9 in the morning and I arrived 8:45. The nurse led me into a room at 9, then came the waiting. I sat alone for about 45mins and the wall is so thin that I could hear the doctor talking to other nurses about weekends, breakfast, coffee, blablabla. Then he came in and spent 5 mins to look at my finger and just say its ok you will recover, not even try to explain what was happening inside. After that the nurse took me out and fix my finger with a plastic strap which would cost less than $10 at CVS. One month later, I received the bill of $450!!! Well done, doctor!!!
