Hands down the slowest urgent care I’ve ever been to. The employees will tell you that you’re up “any minute”; however, 2+ hours later I continue to wait. I was told to go home to wait and then 10 mins into my drive home, they said to turn around because they had an opening for me. Once I got back, I continued to wait for 1.5 hours. Absolutely ridiculous and would never recommend a friend or family member to come here. The positive of my visit is the nurse that I saw, he was very sweet.

They deserve negative stars. I wasted nearly an hour waiting to be called in. They never did. They made me wait in my car despite the fact that I told them I was having internal bleeding and needed checked out for viral causes. They told me its first come first serve. Thats not true as I watched multiple other people enter that got there later than me. I had to leave because 1) I had work and 2) I was getting heat exhaustion from sitting in the car so long. You cant even just schedule for a specific time. Its ridiculous. I just scheduled an appointment for today with the IU Health Center instead which took approximately 1 minute to schedule. Its more worthwhile to go anywhere else. The few times Ive been in there they were incompetent and slow. But the doctors were in a real hurry to get out of the room. Theyve never provided me even adequate care. If you have any health issues in need of urgent care dont go here. They take their sweet time with things and let you get more sick in the process. Now Im going to have to sit at home in pain with ulcers progressively destroying my digestive tract. The only words I can think to use for these people are highly inappropriate. They should be shut down. Please dont go here.

Waited 3 1/2 outside in my hot car for them to finally see me, all just for a drug screen for my employer which took about 20 minutes. The staff was rude and all around unpleasant. One week later I find out from my employer they had never received my test results, so I called the RUDE staff here at Med Express (Bloomington, IN) to see what the issue was and they said they literally lost my sample and would need for me to come in again and give another! Worst clinic ever!

I had an excellent experience at MedExpress. They were fairly busy and I was in and out quickly.Everyone I interacted with was very very kind and helpful. It’s always nice to be treated with a friendly care team especially when you aren’t feeling well.Dr. Holmes spent a good amount of time with me and I didn’t feel like he was rushing through to get to the next room as fast as he could. He took the time to listen to all my concerns and explain the treatment I would be receiving. As far as covid procedures go, you check in from your car by calling on the phone. Once they are ready to take you back they call you. I liked this because it avoids waiting in the waiting room. Everything was very clean and I felt safe.I would definitely recommend MedExpress for urgent medical care needs. My experience was friendly, quick, clean, and professional.

Absolutely terrible. My brother either has a broken or fractured wrist, clearly in pain. He is told that he is able to walk in over the phone, shows up and is told it will be an hour long wait. He was dropped off, so they make him wait outside. Then he finally goes back inside an hour later only to be scolded by the terribly rude upfront staff. This place is an embarrassment, and I am going to do all I can to have that stuff reviewed. So unprofessional!! It’s unbelievable that these girls are able to work like that. Garbage. Do not go, whatever you do.

I work in healthcare as a nurse and I understand the problems that come with it. This place is usually okay, but recent experiences have put this place below average. After contacting the facility 5 times via phone separate days; each waiting around 2-3 hours in the 90 degree heat only being told to leave was highly discouraging & unhelpful. Patient centered care is not a concept that this company embodies among other pillars of respect when caring for patients.Unfortunately for my specific need I can not choose another option, but wish I could. Its lack of communication between staff & general demeanor towards the patient don’t show urgency or concern.I hope I do not have to return.

I was told they would order a test and call me with results. I called after a few days of not hearing back and a staff member I spoke with was very rude and told me to wait for them to call me. Then after a week of not hearing from them I called them again only to find out the test they said they had ordered was never done. What a waste of time for me to even go. So basically they found nothing out for me. Just gave me antibiotics when I was there. The east side walk in clinic is by far the best Ive ever been to. This one on the west side is a freaking joke and rude to boot!

If you pay them for lab work or X-rays and then need access to your lab work or X-rays for further care be prepared to pay your primary care doctor to run the same tests a second time because you will get the run around and a series of lies trying to retrieve any information here.

I went in with some health issues. I waited in the delivery room for atleast 40 minutes. (No other patients were there). I know why now. They told me that the main doctor wasnt there but there was some substitute or something. When they saw me they asked if I have had covid. (Which I understand why) Then they never ran tests. They proceeded to tell me nothing was wrong and was wandering if I was on any drugs. The doctor left and I heard them talking through the door. He was joking about how one of his grandchildren complains less than I. I also heard them talking as if I came in to get drugs. The next day I rushed to the hospital. I was diagnosed with cancer.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A DRUG TEST. They told me to wait in my car due to COVID precautions (which I’m okay with) and estimated that it would take about 10 mins before they’d call me to let me in. 65 mins later and after making a few calls to see what was going on, still nothing. “I don’t know what to tell you man” is what I got told after asking why they kept telling me it’s only be another 5-10 mins every time I called. It literally took them more than an hour to get me in. This is all after being told to come on down the previous two days and then being told the person who does the drug tests had to take off early. It’s almost like they try to set up a system that stinks and literally don’t care. Would rate this place a zero if possible.

Went there for a pre-employment drug screening and was very disappointed with the way they are set up. I get that they were busy but I wasn’t a (sick) patient and I don’t see why I had to wait in line with the rest of the patients, I just needed to deposit a sample that would take at most 10 mins. Just waiting there that way dramatically increased my chances of getting Covid.Additionally, it appeared as if the Covid patients were coming in through the same entrance as healthy patients and I passed a counter that said “Covid Patients Only” or something similar. I passed by a patient that was later at that counter.I don’t know how to feel about this. If what I observed is correct, this is seriously very irresponsible and putting otherwise healthy people at risk. I have severe asthma and so far I’ve been fine. This was the only place I went to as a necessity. Also, they make it very confusing when you walk in because both receptionists are on the phone. I know it’s important to answer the calls for people to come inside but at least put a sign up saying “we’ll call you when it’s your turn”

We had an appointment for a Covid test and had been waiting for an hour in the car in the parking lot. I had to call the office three times just to be told that they were running behind meanwhile other cars were coming and going in and out of the parking lot so it’s hard to believe that they’re behind when other people are getting serviced that came after you. This place is not express! Plan to bring a book or your laptop to get some work done because you’re gonna be sitting for a while.

Save your time and money. I’m in a moving transition. Undergoing a alcoholism detox. Requested a medication to help control alcohol cravings. The medication is not controlled, not an opioid, can’t be abused, and I was specifically looking for help maintaining success in staying off alcohol. I was told to attend AA even after explaining I don’t have that option at this point because I’m not from the area and won’t be here long. Can’t express enough my disappointment that the doctor wouldn’t prescribe the medication. I left there feeling I was treated like an opioid addict looking for a quick high. So much for trying to improve your life.

Just a tip if you have a policy with a deductible pay the fee up front because it’s cheaper. I made the mistake of assuming the prices advertised were what they bill insurance. That is not the case. I had someone suggest this establishment in which Ive never been to, because Im a new mom and they have flexible hours. I went to be seen today (12/15) and I was able to get a babysitter, but went somewhat late. I got to the door at 7:50 and it was locked. I called and the lady had said that their doors automatically lock at 7:55pm. I told her it wasnt that time yet and she just recommended that I come in the morning and they open at 8. Now, wouldnt you think that if a place states they are open til 8, they accept patients til 8. If not, it is usually stated somewhere. Im very disappointed in the fact that they wouldnt see me when it was still within business hours. I work retail and I understand that it isnt ideal to have someone enter right before close, because you want to go home, but there are those rare occasions where you just have to deal with it. Shame on them...

This is a facility that should be avoided. For the health of yourself and your family, seek other medical treatment. I was very sick with a head and sinus infection. Busting headache, intense night sweats. The Physician Assist gave me some type of amoxicillin derivative. Wait time is a little long, but they can’t be held responsible for that. The number of patients greatly outnumbers the small handful of staff. While it wasnt our first choice of urgent care clinic, it was one of the few within an hour radius open on Christmas Eve. The wait was projected to be around 1-1.5 hours, but we were definitely seen much more quickly than that. We currently live abroad and were only in the area to visit family for the holidays before returning to the country we currently live in, so our international insurance is hard to deal with. Because our plan requires that we pay out of pocket and get reimbursed later, we paid out of pocket for this visit. Prices were okay, compared to what I thought wed be paying. Staff was nice, though my time with the doctor felt a bit rushed. (He couldnt have been nicer, though.) This visit required a throat swab, which the nurse managed to get without making me gag too hard (was an issue when I was a kid). The clinic was clean and comfortable, at least as much as it can be when youre sick, with plenty of seating in the waiting room. I was also able to grab a mask that I ended up taking home with me to protect my niece and nephew for the brief period of time wed see them before we left the state. Its convenient to I-69, too, for anyone else also driving for an hour to see a doctor.

Then, another girl comes in and gives me the shot. I walk out, and as I’m leaving the clinic I remember I need to get the records for work. The girl who originally checked me in goes “Oh, you got the Dtap vaccine? That’s $90 and we do not go through insurance for that.” What!! For one: why didn’t you ask me what brought me in here to begin with. For two: had I known it was going to be $90, I would have gone somewhere they took insurance! I found this very offensive after I had already sat there and explained all my symptoms. Particularly offensive as I am still nursing my 5 month old, so I have not drank anything for over a year, and will not until I am done nursing. If I had more energy I would have told her how rude she was, instead I said no and that I was still BF my 5 month old, so if I was prescribed any medication it would need to be safe for him. At 31 years old I would think I know what drinking can do to someone. Also, when she had asked if I was around anyone sick I had already explained my older daughter was sick over the weekend. So, she definitely seemed accusatory and just generally no help at all. Regardless of the rest of the staff I most definitely will not be going back due to the doctor.

Best Walk-In Clinic experience Ive had. Entire staff made direct eye contact, were welcoming and friendly, and professional. From the techs through the MDs, everyone made me feel at ease and well cared for.Attended to by Dr. Cork, she addressed my presenting complaint, which is all one expects at a walk in clinic, but after reviewing family medical history, she immediately was concerned about a possible thyroid problem. After examining my throat, she asked another attending physician for a second opinion. Dr. M (whos full name I cant immediately recall), appeared within moments and performed a follow on exam, confirming Dr. Corks findings.I left yesterday with meds for my asthma symptoms, but also a referral to an endocrinologist.Im sure they all just see that as doing their jobs, and the kind of care we should expect anywhere. And it is. But, suffice it to say, they hold themselves to a high standard at MedExpress.

My daughter had been sick, temp of 103, fatigue, headache. We went to the med express clinic and told them that I think she has the flu. They took us to the exam room and automatically said they think she has strep throat. I said I dont think so, and my 8yr old also said No it wasnt strep. ( she gets strep throat 4 times a year, so she knows all about that.) They ran a strep test which came back Negative, but went ahead and treated her for strep ( which makes lots of sense). The next morning, she already had two doses of her antibiotic, and even with Tylenol her temp would not come down from 104. So I rushed her to a different clinic and they diagnosed her with the flu. I understand misdiagnoses happen, but for heaven sakes, I felt like they were just trying to rush us out the door.

Terrible. The doctors here are absolutely no help at all and test results takes forever to get back. Id save your money and go somewhere else or even just googling your symptoms. Even that would be better than dealing with this place honestly

Total waste of time and money. Came in for a simple abdominal pain but was told they didnt have the equipment to diagnose me (???). They took some blood samples and now its been over a week later and still no results when they told me it would only take 2 days.... The doctor also told me theres nothing she can do but for me to go to the ER if it gets worse. I dont need to pay someone $80 to get that kind of advice. What a joke of an urgent care

I go this service very often but this is worst experience for us. I took my 3 year old because he had cough and we waited more than 2 hours to get his turn even there are only 3 patients.Nurse was very rude while she was taking information from my 3 year old. She doesnt know how to talk with 3 year old or doesnt know how to treat kids.I think nurses on this facility need more training for their job. STAFF AT window was very nice and polite. She keep apologizing us because of wait time even though nothing was in her hand. This facility is going down the hell.

I came in for a hair follicle test at 6:45pm, they did not help me before they closed at 8pm because a tornado warning alerted them at 7:20, which is understandable and they handled it well and were very kind. I come in the next morning at 9:15 and I did not get helped until 10:15 even though I had to wait so long the night before. They lost some of my paperwork from the night before even though I suggested I hang on to it before I came back the next day. When I was getting the hair test she cut a HUGE chunk of hair from my scalp about three fingers wide. I HAVE A MASSIVE BALD SPOT ON MY HEAD NOW!! Nothing was done correctly. The women that work there are nice, but from my experience you will not receive decent healthcare at all!!!!

Came here to be seen and the front office lady was rude and hateful. There is nothing worse than going to be seen and you already dont feel the best and the first person you see is rude and hateful! Will not go back there again! I will also be telling my friends to not go here!

Weeks ago, I felt uncomfortable under my ribs, so I decided to have my first doctor visit during the year, and I chose MedExpress and went there during early evening. They basically did nothing to me, mentioning that they didnt have the equipment available to do the CT or x-ray etc at that moment, or even the basic blood testing (they might be in a hurry to get off work as it was close to 8pm). What the young doctor did was providing me a list of family primary care doctors (unfortunately later I call them one by one and found none of them was accepting new patients in the following two months). Now I got my bill, $300+ charge in total, after insurance (IU staff standard insurance), I still need to pay $180+. So, I spent $180 to buy a piece of useless doctor list! Wasted both my money and time!

This is worse urgent care ever. It was after 6 pm so I went there for a bad cut on my finger. First the nurse did not sanitize her hands until I said something. Then she had to hunt down supplies saying it was the end of the day and they were out. Then the Nurse Practitioner came in and basicslly said she was going to glue my cut because stiches were too much work even though I said no. The glue came apart in 2 hrs

Pros: All the staff; registration, nurse, and nurse practitioner were all friendly. I was also in and out within an hour.Cons: I saw the nurse practitioner while I was there and based on my symptoms she believed I may have the flu. The test came back negative so she told me I had a viral infection of some kind. She didnt seem 100% on the diagnoses and stated What symptoms can I help alleviate? I would prefer to have the diagnoses treated as a whole just not particular symptoms. I told her my severe body aches were the worst but any medication that was prescribed needed to be nursing friendly as Im still nursing my eight month old baby. She wrote me a script and I again asked if this was safe to take while nursing. She told me it was but the way she answered made me feel uneasy and questioned whether the medication was okay to take. I asked a pharmacist about the prescription when I went to have it filled and found out it is not safe to take while nursing. So I was prescribed something I cant take and have to just take over the counter medication in hopes that the illness Ive been battling for three days will resolve with rest and time.I dont normally leave reviews but what upset me the most was the fact I was prescribed something that isnt safe to take while nursing. Im so thankful I double checked with the pharmacist. I wont be returning here and the only reason I went was because we are new to the area and havent gotten established with a family doctor yet.
