Ive attended many churches over the years living in various cities. High Rock Church has been the place where I feel most at home with a community of believers.The biggest thing you will notice that is different at High Rock Church compared to other churches, is the friendly feel. You cannot attend on a Sunday morning without making a friend. The people in this church are the friendliest.If youre interested in learning more about Jesus from friendly educated people, then you might try out this church. The church mostly focuses on helping people follow Jesus, training disciples and outreaching to Indiana University students.High Rocks vision is to be a diverse and intergenerational church and it is becoming more so. But currently it is comprised of mostly young adults and families with young children, with some of the elders a little older. There are also a lot of international students and people of all races, but it could use some more elderly wisdom and diversity of age.My wife also loves this church and feels that although she has considered herself a Christian and attended churches her whole life, she has grown tremendously in what it means to experience God and follow Him in the last ~3 years that we have attended High Rock.

I was impressed with the friendly atmosphere. Three different people struck up conversations with me. The worship team was excellent and featured a variety of contemporary selections. The preaching was applicable to daily living (forgiveness). The congregation of approximately 100 people were primarily 20 to 40 years old (very young compared to most churches). Overall, I was very impressed with High Rock.

I love coming here.Lots of welcoming and genuine people here and the best part is that a lot of people seem super keen to follow Jesus and apply the Bible to their lives. I love seeing the diversity in this church, in this year alone, Ive been exposed to awesome foods cooked by friends from 4 continents.I dont have kids but whenever I walk past the kids ministry floor, I am blown away by the enthusiasm and fun that the teachers and kids seem to be having (not to mention how well behaved the kids are).If you visit, definitely come a couple Sundays and check out small groups! Ive made life long friends here at High Rock and when traveling around the world, still regularly meet up with them!

My wife and I love this church. We always feel so welcomed and loved by all the people that go here. They truly believe in Jesus and try to live their lives to reflect that. The teachings are really good and I feel like you truly learn from them. Worship is amazing too.If youre looking for a church, youve got to check out High Rock. Especially if youre an IU or Ivy Tech student. They even have a ride program for students who dont have vehicles.

Live in Bloomington? You definitely need to check out High Rock Church. It is full of people that have genuine community and love for one another. The worship is great and the Bible is clearly taught. I feel taken care of here because people are actively getting to know me and my family. The great coffee doesnt hurt either...hope to see you there!

Easily the nicest, most welcoming church experience Ive ever had! The people are just real people doing real life together. And they are all about Jesus. Ive found some great friends here and love that we are encouraged to plug in to one another to walk out the life of being a Christian together.

I visited here because my sister is a member. I felt very welcomed and the snacks are stellar!

This church is amazing. Never before have I met so many genuinely loving people in one place! When I first started looking for churches in Bloomington, I was intimidated, but the people at High Rock welcomed me in with open arms. The pastors preach the Bible in a way thats honest and challenging, yet full of grace. Worship feels super genuine too. The people in this church truly follow Jesus by loving Him and loving others. Its not just a Sunday thing. Theyre really doing everything they can to live out their lives according to Christ.

If youre looking for a church filled with the Holy Spirit that teaches biblical truth and is supported by a body that genuinely believes and lives out Jesus mission for our lives, then High Rock is a church you should check out!

I came to IU my freshman year looking for a place to fit in and planning on checking out a couple different churches until I found a place I felt comfortable. But from the first Sunday at High Rock, I knew I had found my home. These people truly worship and obey Jesus, and everything they do is solidly grounded in the Bible. The emphasis on community means the members of the church are a real family, everyone taking care of one another, with some amazing pastors and small group leaders to serve as examples and guides. I especially love that college students are included in every part of the churchs activity, not just relegated to their own ministry or excluded from serving in the church. I am so grateful to High Rock Church for constantly pointing me towards a God who is real and present in my life!

I highly recommend this church. My wife and I attended for the first time in late 2010 and we both felt immediately at home. We asked about the small groups on our first visit and decided to check one out. The church has several small groups on different nights of the week that have different categories, students, young professionals, families, etc. but you can go to any that works for you. These small groups are really a great way to get to know people and share your story with so you can feel connected quickly.On Sundays, we try to show up a little early to check our kids into the kids program, grab a coffee/doughnut, and try to meet some new people before the service starts. It’s a casual atmosphere with a focus on living out the Bible. Hope to see you there.

On the rise church, but a phenomenal church and a very Bibically educated pastor.

This church is everything a church is supposed to be: a great place to love God and grow closer to Him, an incredible community to love others, and the members have such a heart for those that have yet to know God personally.
