We had only 5 cars ahead of us and we waited for 30+ minutes. We saw a smaller suv in front of us go in and that took 10 minutes. Once we got in they didn’t say a word to us or help us. I’ve been to other locations and they say hello or offer to help. As we were leaving and pulled onto Lyndale we noticed they still kept the doors down to sort through things for a while longer. We had only 2 small target bags and a small shoe box of things

I tried on a pair of shoes at this store. An employee saw me trying on the shoes and told me that, per store policy, I was not allowed to try on shoes or clothing. I asked him how I was supposed to know if the shoes fit me. He told me that Goodwill had extended their exchange policy. This implies that I was allowed to try on the shoes, but only if I bought them and took them home to do so. If they didn’t fit I was allowed to exchange them but not return them. This has no logic to me. I was trying on a pair of previously worn shoes in a thrift store. I asked the employee the reason for this store policy, and he told me that he did not know the reasons.

Clean restrooms, mask guard at the door, but pick up a humanoid in kids toys cuz the other shoppers live to crowd.

I love this store on how clean they are and the staff are nice and courteous at this time due to a pandemic. I had a item that I need to exchange for a bigger size and the manager I think her name is Sonya was very helpful so if you like nice things and a good clean store and staff is nice this is it. I do all my shopping here for holidays etc and the donation is cool also because if you have stuff you’re trying to get rid of this is definitely the place so thanks and keep up the good work.

Well I really like buying my clothes at Goodwill because they have a great selection of clothing and price is right. However, this afternoon I bought 3 items sweater, t-shirt,and pair of jeans and when I tried my jeans on they were way to small. Ok so not even 2 hours later I went back to Goodwill store to return the jeans. S when I returned my jeans they gave me problems for a return because I took the tag off (even though I have them the tag stapled to the receipt). Then they said my receipt wasnt the one that the jeans were purchased on because the jeans on the receipt had a blue code and not a yellow code. Well how the hell I was supposed to know that the tag had a different color. Then they accused me of trying to switch the tags. So I pointed out that the tag sg had the same price, and the size 14;on the tag. So I insisted on them giving me store credit of 8.99. Well the shift manager said I will process this return like this only once and not ever again for. So then I finally got my return done and left the store after a return tht should of taken less than 5 minutes.b

One of the only stores that will let you go in and TRY CLOTHES ON! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍These other places, were you have to put down your money...without being able to try things on.... Then KNOWING THE STORE POLICY of NO REFUNDS... That is true at this store too, but at least you stand a far better chance of an honest buy when you can try it on first before you buy! Because those other places... You buy the item, you get it home... and find out it doesnt fit, look right, or whatever...You have to eat the cost, go back to the store and EXCHANGE IT for something you HOPE works.🤞 And if it doesnt, youre just. , out of luck! AND THAT $UCK$!!!

Tonight we had the most humiliating experience at Goodwill Bloomington MN location. Because of covid my friend was asked and when I say asked I mean from the start the manager Sonia came at her screaming attacking her. Telling her not to try on a coat when she explained that there were no signs up stating so Sonia the manager started screaming attacking her. Sonia then called cops for no reason, cops along with fellow Goodwill employees and several shoppers all agree and also made statements that this was not the first time she has done this to several customers and has called the cops numerous times. It sounds like somebody has a little bit of a power issue she completely humiliated my friend myself along with another customer who also got asked to leave 4 sticking up for my friend. Looks like tomorrow I will be calling corporate and making sure that this does not happen again. Especially with the type of store and the kinds of customer base Goodwill has you can not be treating people that way.

Felt really scared when I dropped off three bags of clothes. The guy freaked out because I didn’t have a mask. I didn’t know we needed one to drop off. I felt really uncomfortable and how he handled it and how he spoke to me. The mask isn’t gonna do anything transferring from trunk to trolly. You really need to train your employees better. I no longer will drop off my clothing here, I went to savers instead and they didn’t freak out like I had the Black Plague!

To whom it may concern,I am writing you to inform you of the repulsive experience I’ve had today at the Goodwill store In Bloomington, Mn.I went into the store, following orders of wearing a mask, and followed the required direction throughout the store, directed by the arrows on the floor. This was the FIRST time back since the Coronavirus and so I was a bit confused to all of the changes, but willfully complied. After gathering all of my items in my cart, I went to the dressing rooms to which I found had been closed. One of the staff indicated they were “temporarily closed” so I began holding my clothes up in front of the mirror.I have to say, I was quite appalled that other stores are able to keep their dressing rooms open for trying on clothes, while we are unable to try on “used” clothes, to the individuals own risk! This 100% deterred me from purchasing items that I could have easily tried on, to help determine if it fit me.I wanted to try on one item over my clothes to determine if I was going to fit it before purchasing. In doing so, I was approached by a female staff member who became verbally confrontational and militant for trying on a shirt over my clothes in front of the mirror. I am appalled that I was approached in such a way that dehumanizes me as a person for the “better good” or to “be safe” from corona virus. How is that ok to be berates for shopping at this store and trying on one item over my clothes?! Tell me this... is it ok to chastise a shopper while they are at a store shopping just to keep up with “rules” while neglecting human dignity?!Had I been approached in a more respectful manner, the conversation could have gone much differently... However that’s not how the conversation was conducted. Due the initial hostile nature of the interaction, I found that there was no opportunity for interaction.I am very disappointed in the way this store conducts its management. This store needs to relearn respect for people and requires enforced ethical training to all employees.I will not be shopping at Goodwill or donating to this particular store again, due to this experience.

Goodwill is by no means a real charity organization. If you think donating to them is helping people, you need to do some research. That said, their drop-off is a cost effective way to get rid of your old stuff, and the process in their store are usually pretty good. This particular location is so slow as to be almost laughable. Expect to spend 10 minutes in line at the very least.

I always find at least one or two fun items when I visit here. Prices are super fair – a note that REI is close by, so I think some folks will drop off some of their gently used gear/clothing here before stocking up on new stuff. I’ve found super nice wool sweaters, flannel, and decent shoes. As always, thrifting is hit or miss, but this Goodwill gets some great stuff in.Four stars because sometimes things seem super cluttered/cramped here. Try running more sales or lowering prices to help items move along quicker.

This is not a big Goodwill, but Ive gotten some good deals before. Selection is not the best, especially since the 2007 or 08 bill that banned toys that could have lead in them. Lots of bulk cheap new in box items. I can only give it 3 stars.

I just just dropped off a bag of household items that were in great shape. The man that unloaded them proceeded to scold me. “I tell people not to mix clothes with the hard stuff!” It was rude given that I am providing them with free merchandise that they will turn around and sell. It was disappointing.

They have a lot of great stuff coming through. When I say a lot, I mean like a literal lot. Please be patient with them during this pandemic. People are at home, packing all there stuff together because there isn’t anything else to do! People got truck loads, and mostly only one to two people down there at a time because of 6 feet distancing. They are also risking their health during these scary times to help you.

I pulled up to donate my things and the guy who helped me unload the items was very friendly. He described to me he is a boxer therefore doing this helped him maintained his muscles in the future months. It was freezing cold outside so he closed both garage entry and exit doors and we talked until the next car rang the doorbell. It was then I said goodbye and then drove off the donation center. I recommend this place to donate your things.

An okay Goodwill. You’ll find your typical fare here, no surprises. But man. The clothes are maddeningly unorganized. It’s like people just put them wherever they want. Example, in the “Men’s long sleeves” section I found button-ups, jackets, short-sleeve t-shirts, sweaters, suits, polo shirts, and even a pair of jeans, and all sizes mixed together. I got frustrated and left.

Eh, a lot of the clothing was already super worn, dirty, or damaged. Most of the shirts were already pre-pilling. Still, the location was well organized and labelled. There was plenty of space in between racks to allow two people to pass through and not rub butts. Parking is also straightforward which is super nice around here.

Continually rude employees in donation area. Its apparent they dont like their jobs and act grumpy, and scowl. One employee, in garage donation area, repeatedly ordered me forward in my car, along into garage even when a woman ahead of me (behind her car) was too close for safety. He kept repeating pull up! while glaring at me . It was unsafe, so I informed the manager who aknowledged they have been having trouble with more than one employee in the donation center. Another employee always asks me to round up payment when I purchase items, and then turns a silent stone-cold glare at me when I decline, (as if Im cruel). I already buy a lot and have donated a lot, buy boy do they have some disgruntled characters at Lyndale and 494 Bloomington location.
