The classic membership is $10 a month which is good to use all cardio and weight machines. Its great for whichever you choose.

The new employee you guys hired this last week or so is awesome. He made sure the place was clean, greeted and acknowledged every person that walked by him with a smile. The staff has always been good during the day and evening but he is definitely a great addition. Good job guys! Thank you for always making me feel welcome and comfortable when coming in. And Thank you Tyler for taking the time to listen when i just needed someone to vent to. With my wifes recent passing its been hard.

UPDATE: The employees of Planet Fitness in Bloomington MN really went above and beyond to help with my membership account as well as refunding me. They were polite and professional and were able to fix the issue quickly. I was incredibly impressed. Top notch employees! They ALL deserve a raise for having to put up with people like me.

PF is a good gym with all the equipment I need but its just that the employees except for edmund dont do their job they will put up a sign say be back in 5 minutes then I dont see them all night and another thing is when I let them know when something needs attention like the paper towels are out or a machine isnt working properly they just ignore me and they leave all the work that they are supposed to do for edmund he gets the job done but he shouldnt have to do their work on top of his

Rude employees. Kennedy and Devin were absolutely unprofessional and quite condescending. Calling headquarters it was soooo bad!!! I see by other reviewers Kennedy has an issue with treating people poorly. Too bad something hasnt been done about this rude employee. Shame on PF for ignoring their clients.

Such a great experience here! They signed me up for a membership, which is a great deal, and customer service was excellent. So friendly and helpful. This was all late on a Sunday night as well. Gym was not overly crowded and I felt super comfortable. I have tried other gyms and I did not feel like this gym was trying to sell me anything I didnt need and that they had my well-being in mind. Great atmosphere!

I really thought Planet Fitness was going to be overly sensitive with their lunk alarm, but its actually a pretty decent gym. Its also encouraging to see people who are already in shape working out there. Their advertisements made me think that they werent very welcoming of people who are in shape, but most of the people go there look pretty fit and look like they take good care of themselves. And that makes me feel like I could be just as in shape, that Planet Fitness actually wants their members to be in shape, not just buy a membership and pretend to work out once a month.

Kennedy is the WORST planet fitness employee I have ever dealt with. I am 53 years old and she put me on the smith machines making me lift 75 lbs, making my back break into several pieces. Will never come back.

Its pretty clean. I noticed an influx of people before 5pm during the week. Sunday morning so far seemed the best time to go. But as for overall experience in being at this location - not bad.

Even though my phone was slow as molasses when I signed up with Planet Fitness, Jillian ,she was ever SOOOO patient and professional in helping me get signed up. Even in observing the staff during prime time 5-7 they all had smiles with can do attitudes. Ive been in a few times early AM, same results 😊😊. Equipment is nice, locker room is emaculantly clean. 1st impression was a lasting impression. Keep up the fantastic service.

We re joined after a year off due to the pandemic and had such high hopes to enjoy the club as we have before. Staffs lack of mitigation, cleaning, sanitizing etc is beyond troubling. Guests with masks down around the chin, not cleaning their machines after use and very few cleaning stations in general.We left mid work out and will not be back!The staff is too busy on their cell phones to even assist the members. Cleaning, sanitizing and mitigation should be standard and expected. Babysitting grown adults should not be part of their job description but rules are made to be followed and it’s the staffs job to mandate that! The owners need to know this and rectify it immediately!

Great location and I love the variety of equipment and machines this gym has to offer. Workout areas, machines and locker rooms are pretty clean as well. Also a great price compared to other fitness locations. I was paying more than double at Lifetime. Happy I made the switch to PF.My only complaint is that sometimes when you go and check in, there are multiple people standing around the front desk on their phones. And other days there is only one person working during a shift. It makes it hard when you need to ask a question and that one person is suppose to fulfill all of those tasks. While on other days with a full staff, they are just standing at the counter when they could be cleaning, refilling spray bottles, etc. Also, there needs to be a better way to manage black card members when requesting for a massage. One employee informed me that they check in members to see how often they use the massage chairs. But I’ve only been asked to scan my card a few times out of the multiple times I’ve used the chairs.Other than that, great atmosphere for a gym and definitely worth a try if you’re looking for something new.

I just wish they had a deadlift trap bar. Otherwise the gym is amazing and has got everything.Update: Too much policing!

I love planet fitness. Everyone is amazing except one of the new girls which is horrible. I think she gets paid to text and be mean to customers. Besides her, everyone is amazing.

Super friendly and clean gyms, I have been at lifetime fitness for 20 years and decided to make a change and glad I did. The clubs are convenient and obtain good hours for my schedule. The black room is awesome for relaxing and working.

I just left the Bloomington, MN. planet fitness and was very impressed by a young man named Talan I believe thats how its spelled 😊...He was doing an amazing job refilling the hand sanitizers, cleaning, and making sure the gym is clean and sanitized. Theres so many different ways to workout .... All around great experience... But dont take my word for it , try it out yourself...

I decided to cancel my membership. I never went the entire month and sadly was denied a refund for 2 closed accounts. Im a little disappointed.. Highly overpriced, unless you go more than 15-20 times in the month.

I went in to introduce my oldest son to the facility and see if he maybe wanted to join up. I had a regular membership. I’ve had both options for MANY years and have switched in and out. For the entire process of upgrading to a black card so he could be my guest for the day, I truly I felt like the lady that helped me had more important things to do than to assist me (oh I was the ONLY customer in front of her and no phone calls) and kept referring my questions to the app or even the process, read the app directions. I felt her personal phone and her time was too precious and she couldn’t stay with me from start to finish.It left a really sour taste in my mouth and it’s not the first time I haven’t felt like a guest at this location. It’s just the first time that it was so obvious that I wasn’t the reason she was working. Sure I am a middle aged mom of two but as a loyal customer who never defaults and pays their salary, I thought I deserved more.If I had a choice of home locations, this WOULD not be my first. I wish some of the old staff was still there. At least they made us feel welcome. Also, if not for the low cost $23/ mo I would already be joined elsewhere. I held off responding about my experience until now because I’m not one to complain usually and have worked years in the service industry. I get it and get people having off days. My suggestion to the owners/ franchisee is please remember why you’re getting paid, remember to treat others the way you would want. Even if the person only pays $23 a month and for gosh sakes educate your staff. I guess you get what you pay for and that makes me personally disappointed in the brand and in my location.

I joined Planet Fitness to avoid the body builder types posing in the mirrors and hogging machines. The LUNKS. This PF had several of this type which was very annoying. As a Black Card member I can use any PF i like so I will not be returning to this gym. My mother who lives in the area and was considering joining will now look for other options

They need to start making planet fitness open 24 hours again I hate that they close it early thinking about switching to a gym that’s open 24 hours. So it can meet my schedule. Not everyone one works 9 to 5 and can still go to planet fitness with their limited time their open!

The staff at this location are amazing and super friendly! I also enjoy working out on the machines near the big ceiling fans for extra cooling during intense workouts! Glad I decided to switch gyms and come to planet fitness!!

I love coming here it.really is a judgement free zone and the staff is amazing!! And its very affordable for me cuz it ALSO has the tanning and hydromassages which I also always take advantage off!!

One of my favorite PF locations. The staff is friendly and they clean regularly. The stretching area is a little cramped but I usually make due.

Loved it before the pandemic. Now, even though they emailed every member about how masks are a requirement to work out, there is basically zero enforcement of this policy. I can be in a weight section with 10 other people, and maybe 2 of them are actually wearing masks. As much as I want things to go back to normal, and include going to the gym as part of that, this is just a worrying lapse in basic safety precautions on the companys part.

Great place to workout. Has a wide variety of equipment, friendly staff, clean facilities, and you never really feel judged.Price is reasonable and my friend and I have enjoyed going here to do our workout routine.

It cant get much better. They could have made the lockers bigger. Their customer service is excellent. All employees are great, they all go out of their way to make things better.

This place is so awesome and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Tran might ne the best trainer ever! His classes are great and he makes sure youre knowledgeable about the use of the machines. Youre able to go in and use them once hes showed you with confidence.

Big improvement over the old location. Machines are clean and work well and its generally pretty clean. I feel like they are taking covid seriously while still providing a decent place to workout.

Very friendly. Non judgemental. My favorite place to go for a quick workout. The music is a little loud, so I couldnt hear my podcast on my headphones.

This gym is affordable, but doesnt seem like it. It is clean, with friendly staff, and all kinds of people of all ages and fitness levels. You dont have to be self conscious here, if you arent in tip top shape. It is wonderful!

Great gym. Great staff. Except for one thing. The Asian girl who works here never greets you. Or smiles at you. Or even looks at you when you enter or leave. Not in a Im too stupid to know any better way which would one could look past, but more in a Im TRYING not to acknowledge or look at you and yes, I have an attitude way. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth and you kinda dont feel welcomed. Especially when you come in positive and try and look the person in the eye as you scan your badge and youre ignored. Im not sure, maybe acknowledging visitors or being nice isnt part of the job description?Everyone else here has been positive and awesome. Ive been a member for 1.5 years and that literally has been the only negative thats affected my experience.

Great location to work out at. The staff are friendly and the place is usually always clean! Lots of cute guys and cute girls. A few down sides are it is small than the other locations, there is no water bottle refill saving system, and my biggest pet peeve is when after someone uses a locker they dont close it and just leave it open its so annoying.

Constant cleaning going on everybody seems to be wearing masks

This applies to all Planet Fitness locations. This is absolutely the business model for gyms, most people just want to get in a basic exercise in a clean environment with working equipment. But please, please ask those persons texting or talking on the phone to do that off the equipment, so that others can use the equipment. Same goes for staying on something for more than 15min, if you need more time, you need another gym.

Very happy with this place! I love the 30 minute circuit they have. LOVE the massage chairs. Wish they had more chairs or another bed. My only complaint would be with some of the people that will sit at a machine and either text, read a book or talk with their friends. But that isnt the gyms fault!

Fantastic facility. Not once have a gone to this location and been disappointed. Employees greet you with a smile on their face. All of the equipment are constantly being cleaned by employees and gym members. My experience at this location have been wonderful

Love the exercise machines and the biggest looser corner. Very clean since everyone has to clean the equipment themselves after using it. Awesome membership price. Only thing to improve is to let people know the biggest looser corner is for biggest looser workout only not to just randomly use the stations.

Its a good place to work out for the moneyThe main reason I joined Planet Fitness is their inexpensive membership cost.The other gym memberships are so expensive, although they do have a pool , sauna and other amenities that Planet Fitness does not have. Also you can bring a guest as much as you want anytime and thats great compared to the other gyms. The only thing I dont like is its a bit of a drive for me to get there. I wish they would put another one closer to the Richfield South Minneapolis area.

I’ve been to quite a few different PF locations, and while the staff were super friendly, the location was very small and bizarre. The equipment is all packed really close together and is all kinda janky compared to other locations. The tanning booths are super small, and the massage bed is placed right by the front desk, you’re basically out in the open. Gave it a try but probably won’t be coming back.

With my employers $20/month reimbursement it costs me NOTHING to work out here! plus i get free tanning, free chair massages, well maintained and clean equipment, friendly staff, clean locker rooms and at the times I work out (usually between 9-10pm) its nearly empty.. Cant believe I wasted so much money at Lifetime!!

I always find the equipment I need open or at least about to be open. All the equipment seems up to date and work great. You can’t beat the price point. The tanning beds need to be cleaned under the plastic glass thing you lay on. It has so much dirt, hair, and God knows what else under it. The staff seem to be very indifferent if you are there or not. They aren’t rude but aren’t friendly either. They don’t say hey or bye.

Membership is cheap and you get what you pay for... showers and locker rooms facility is sub par. Cancelling the membership is a pain in the butt. They take 30 days to cancel it (So they get to charge you one more time! Even though you are not using their services.) You can only cancel via walking in or certified mail. One more way they make it difficult for you. In todays tech savvy world I dont know maybe email might work? Digital Signatures? Totally hate hearing Sorry it is our policy! Lots of good gyms out there... Planet Fitness isnt one of them!

Love the simplicity of this gym with no pressure or haggling for training. Trainers are still there to help you get a structured program in place and it is included in the price, if you so choose. Easy placement and access to all machines.

This is the first gym I have joined in a long time. I was a bit scared the first time I walked through the door as I thought judgement would be rampant. I was completely wrong as from the first moment I spoke to the staff I felt welcome. I’ve now been a member for over six months. I have never felt uncomfortable. This is a clean, safe, and non-judgmental place. It has a nice selection of equipment. It is well-worth the monthly fee.

I went in (skeptical) for a tour and was so impressed that I fought myself to sign up. I really didn’t think I’d like the gym because it seemed overly hyped up. The facilities were nice and clean (which is a plus, because I like to workout, shower, and go straight to the office), music wasn’t blaring (so you can listen to your own music, audiobook, or podcast), and it wasn’t overly crowded. A friend told me about the massage chairs and I rolled my eyes, thinking they’d be super cheap quality. Then I sat down in one. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! They were definitely spa quality and work from the back of your head down to your calves (which I needed because I was sore). Today was my first day and I loved it. The staff were friendly (even at 6am), the vibe felt peaceful, machines were available, the floor wasn’t overcrowded, the tv’s were set to a range of channels, and the locker room was clean and comfortable.

For over 3yrs this has been my main Gym. Staff has been friendly, and the equipment is well maintained. If your getting back into fitness or first time gym goer this is a great place to start.

Great place to use at a reasonable price. I was paying over double the cost at anytime fitness for the exact same setu . Im glad I made the switch.

It a great place to workout. I can do my weight training and do lighter circuit training to lose fat and keep my muscles growing. They have a separate area for circuit training with a stop and go light and machines set up so you dont have to think about it just do it.

Small and bad customer service

Staff is friendly and lots of equipment to choose from. The workout area is also really clean and well organized. The one problem with this location is that the locker rooms and showers are disgusting. I know they dont clean it daily or even check it and that is pretty gross. I have seen old band aids in the drains and even chew spit sitting in the shower for days. Yes the people attending the gym need to respect the locker room more, but the staff needs to keep up and make sure the showers are clean. I have been going to the Burnsville location for this reason alone as their staff keeps it cleaner. They need to check these locker rooms hourly like other gyms to make sure that they are at least up to minimal standards. Clean your locker rooms and you could be a five star gym! I guess you get what you pay for...

Mens showers are dumpy. Mold growing ceiling of showers. They dont have racks to put your shampoo and soap in all the showers. The towel hook on one of the showers fell off several months ago and hasnt been replaced. Were talking about $25 in materials to rectify these things yet there still issues and have been for a long time. How has no employee noticed this and done anything about it?

Very reasonably priced membership. Gets crowded on the weekdays and I’ve had instances where all treadmills were full. Weekends are empty and I like to visit during those times.

This gym is pathetic. The fact that they can stereotype and get away it blows my mind. This is the first company that Ive heard about that can stereotype people and get away with it. If there was a gym that stereotyped people that were overweight and fat, they would get sued. They also give out free pizza and candy. I thought this was supposed to be a gym. If people are going there to lose weight, why in the world would you have free pizza and candy. This is gym is a disgrace and I hope it fails.

Even at busy times there are always a few open machines. I’ve never had to wait to get to equipment. Staff is friendly, facility is clean. gym goers are respectful of each other.

Its a cheap gym is the bottom line. The gym needs more space dedicated to free weights and calisthenics. It needs more options for cycles and maybe some rowers (most ellipticals sit unused all day.) It would be fun to have some modern interactive training equipment. The climate is muggy and humid; no fans to be found. Ive been to other PFs that have huge ceiling fans that greatly improve airflow. The staff has been friendly to deal with but they seem less then motivated to clean.But its cheap so Ill keep putting up with all the negatives and Ill go with three stars vs two cause Im Minnesotan.

Love Planet Fitness! First gym I actually look forward to going. Highly suggest signing up for the black card membership for the hydro massage tables and massage chairs alone. I do wish that the Bloomington one was a little bigger for more stretching space and adding the 12 minute an circuit that the Burnsville location has.

Zero stars. Was going to go back until I read some of the same garbage happening since I joined last time. READ THE FINE PRINT....if they tell you at all. You have to hunt down ppl to replace paper towels so you can clean the machines, because the last person didnt clean it. Smelly and disgusting place. The NO grunting rule was never enforced. Music is way too loud. Ppl trying to come over and start conversations with you while working out. Never again.

I like the gym and the atmosphere! Staff are really nice and helpful! I travel 20 minutes just to go to this specific one because its my favorite!

Where is the mixed girl T who changes her hair color a lot? She kept the ladies room clean. She’d give tours she was always friendly at the front desk. My friends and i signed up. She’d let me use the massage twice. She told me the to do stairs 3 mins then 5 mins till I’m use to it. She worked with the big black guy and also the with the flipped hair. Everyone loved her where is she? Do you have a email or social network for her.
