I just finished the 10 week kickboxing challenge! I learned just how far I can push myself and I’m so proud that I made it through! Everyone at the gym is so friendly and motivational. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something different.

Amazing. 10/10 recommend. I had a ton of fun in the program and also met my fitness goals I set for the 10 weeks. Highly recommend.

Long post, no apologies…My name is Jim and I was wrong.Adam Richards tried to get me to come to Farrell’s in January of 2019 and I said it was too expensive. I said that I would join a gym and do it my way. I actually did some at-home workouts first, but I never could stick to it. I then decided to join the Blue Cross/Blue Shield deal where you can go to any gym for $25. I then alternated between two gyms here in town until December of 2019. I did strength training with weights and cardio…you know, stuff that people tell you will work.In December, Adam was preparing for the final stages of a year-long contest and clearly on the path to major life change. It was obvious that the decisions we both made in January of 2019 had dramatically different results. I knew that I wasn’t feeling great, so I went to a doctor’s appointment to get some bloodwork done.My blood test results and the doctor’s appointment were just plain bad. I was tied with the heaviest I’d ever been in my entire life and my glucose had nearly doubled over the course of the year. There was also a test called an SGPT test that shows the potential of heart or liver damage that had levels that were higher than they should have been.Since no man on my dad’s side has lived past the age of 67 and the precursor to all of their deaths was type 2 diabetes, I decided that I would join Farrell’s in January of 2020. Also, if you’ve seen that my boxing gloves have a big 67 written on them, that’s why. It’s a constant reminder to not give up.Fast forward to the end of our 10 weeks and I could not believe the changes…nor could my doctor. Here’s what happened:1. Body weight went down sharply2. Body fat went down sharply3. BMI went down sharply4. Glucose level went down sharply5. SGPT level went down sharply6. Skeletal muscle level is…UP!That last one surprised me. I am used to the advice from weightlifters who say that the only way to build muscle is to lift heavy things. I guess all that I have to show for that is a double pec tear on a 400 pound bench press. Good times.Clearly, the data shows that the 10 week program can help people lose weight, gain muscle, improve their overall health, and meet awesome people. If you’ve been knocked down, get back up.If you’ve been discouraged, now is the time to re-engage.This journey is too important to stop. You are worth it.Thank you to Adam for inviting me many times. You have saved my life.Thank you to my 5am peeps for changing my life.

Ive been attending Farrells since January. I had absolutely no idea what to expect. Ive spent the last 15 years focusing on my career and not my health. I kept giving myself deadlines of when Id get healthy. First it was when I had kids, then when I turned 30, then 35... the dates just came and went.I was challenged by a friend to join Farrells. I really didnt know what I was getting into. I couldnt hardly make it through the initial base-line testing. The idea of working out with a group of people was terrifying. I knew Id be the worst one in the class and embarrass myself.I was pleasantly surprised that in my 10-Week Group (at Farrells you have to go through a 10-week challenge to join) I wasnt the worst....lol. In fact, the best thing about Farrells only enrolling people into their 10-Week sessions is that they start slow. You get to work at your pace... getting stronger all the time. You dont even realize how strong youve gotten until youre doing the things that the regular members were doing on your first day. Now, 8 weeks later I look forward to going! The cost seems high for the 10-week session, but now that Im there, I realize what a great value it is. The cost includes 6 days a week of workouts, all your equipment needed, a personal coach and nutrition guides. Especially when you break down the cost over 10 weeks. I HIGHLY recommend Farrells!

This is an amazing place for workout. I had no idea that workouts can be so much fun before coming here. The instructors and coach are wonderful. This is the first fitness center where I am delicately going from 5 weeks now without a miss.I already have lost 9 inches in 5 weeks and increased my strength. My food habit has changed for good. A highly recommended place to go.

It was intimidating coming in here not knowing what to expect but I’m so glad I did!! I love all of the people here and have never been made to feel stupid (and trust me...I have done a lot of stupid things when it comes to trying to do some of the moves or trying to keep proper form). The nutrition plan is also very realistic and maintainable long term unlike many fad diets or other nutrition plans. They teach you everything you need to know. Follow the plan and you will see awesome results. I planned on doing the ten week challenge to get on track then go back to doing my own thing but I have so much fun and get so much more out of these workouts that I ended up signing up for a year.

The best program if you are serious about loosing weight and gaining strength. Just 45 minutes everyday and I got amazing return . I improved from 12 min a mile to 650 in just 10 weeks. Not been there for more than a year, it seems time for me to head back there.

I didn’t think I could do this, but I was miserable and something had to change. My diagnosis: chronic fatigue, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, osteoarthritis throughout my body, migraines three to four times a week, insomnia, and lower back disc herniation. I already had two major neck surgeries (including a fusion), adjacent disc disease, mid-back disc issues, previous knee injury from Taekwondo, prior shoulder surgery, and likely some other ailments I’m forgetting (thankfully). With these problems and being 47-years-old, I thought “there’s no friggin’ way.” If I didn’t kill over at orientation, I was sure I wouldn’t make it two weeks without injury and dropping out. I didn’t kill over. The first two weeks were rough, but I survived and even thrived. Eight weeks later I am sleeping better, I have at least 30% more energy than before, I’ve reduced my chronic pain 40-50%, and I haven’t had a migraine since I started the class. I quit taking my cholesterol meds, and look forward to retesting to see if I’m keeping it in check by exercising. I’ll never be without pain again, but I’m feeling better than I have in several years. I had the mid-age pot belly started, which doesn’t look good on a small guy like me. I didn’t really want to lose weight but rather to re-proportion it. I have. I’ve replaced fat with muscle and weigh about the same. I’m seeing muscle tone I haven’t seen in at least 12 years, and three days a week I get to relieve my tensions and aggressions by pounding a bag silly and I’m getting leaner and meaner every week in return. What’s cooler than that? I was afraid I would be the oldest dude in the gym, but wrong again. There’s a wide age range from young to considerably older than me…older guys who are still stronger than me. I’m still amazed every day by what I see in class. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up. I still can’t keep up with everything, and that’s okay. If I could, then I wouldn’t be getting pushed hard enough, and the results wouldn’t be there. It’s a fast-paced, high energy workout. Even though we’re pushed, we can still go our own pace without the instructor singling us out. Just do the best you can do and go home feeling good about it. I’ve worked really hard and have gotten really awesome results to show for it. I’m thrilled and have signed up again for the fall session and I’m bringing my 18-year-old son along with me. He can’t stand his old man getting more ripped than he is. I can’t wait to seewhat it does for him!

My primary doctor and cardiologist were amazed at the results I showed at my annual check in with them. Thank you to the trainers and my coach Jen C and my 5am team who pushed me to a level 10 effort every morning.
