Dr Birge has been my PCP for about 18 years, my experience has been very good. He listens to what your problem is and gives you a treatment that would work the best for you, if it’s something more complex he will definitely referred you to a specialist. They’ve been very accommodating with me.Thank you.

Birge is a family doc, that being said he does have a general knowledge for most basic conditions. I was thankful when he let me know my options for my ezcema. Unfortunately my condition is so chronic that it was beyond his area of expertise. Still all and all its a fine family doc shop.

Went to Dr. Birge for an antidepressant as my wife finally wore me down about getting on one thinking it might help my social anxiety. She has been going to his practice for years, so it made sense for me to go too. I honestly cannot see why she goes there. Besides the woman at the front desk who is pleasant and the blond nurse that I liked a lot, the other employees, including Birge himself, do not seem fit for their jobs, at least in my experience.Dr. Birge gave me the immediate impression it was his way or the highway. He talked over me, seemed impatient and rushed, and wholly discounted any suggestions I might have had regarding what antidepressant or treatment might be best for my anxiety. From a medical standpoint, he seemed to know about the medications and their side effects, etc. But from a personal standpoint, he left me feeling like he couldnt really care less about me.My most recent visit from today, Saturday July 13, was a disaster. From the beginning, when the nurse who brought me to the back room seemed cold and unfriendly (it was not the blond one), to the 30 minute unchecked-on wasted time inside the interior waiting room where nobody bothered to spend five seconds and let me know they were aware I was still there, and to the end, when I finally walked out and told the front desk woman that I might call but also might not, I knew I would never be coming back to this place.A generous One Star b/c SOME of the staff is nice and whatever the hell my wife sees in continuing to go there (a habit that I will strongly urge her to break). Save yourself the awful feeling of not being truly valued by your family practice and go literally anywhere else.

Have been seeing Dr. Birge for a while now. Hes extremely through and on point. I began seeing him for diabetes but he has earned my trust and confidence so I now see him for everything. Him & his staff are wonderful and prompt. I dont like doctors but Dr. Birge and his staff have changed that. I highly recommend him !!!!!

Been to Dr Birge for over 2 years now and I am changing doctors immediately. Last appointment I waited for over an hour with no one even stepping in to say he was late or anything. This happens more often than not. When he does finally show up, I feel rushed. I have a condition (I do not wish to disclose) and nothing has helped and he refuses to try certain meds as well. I dont feel a doctor should refuse a patient unless it is detrimental to the patient; this request was not. He just doesnt want to. What he wants to do is uncalled for blood tests. His nurses are very nice and professional. His patient intake personnel however are rude and impatient.

As the old saying goes, I had to give this place 1 star, there is no 0 option...Absolutely horrible!!!! RUDE front desk staff, and incompetent doctor. Nurses seem to be ok, but also seem to change each time Im there, so theres tons of turn over, and I can see why. Dr. Birdge has a lets try and then see what happens attitude, nothing shows that he has any credible medical knowledge, at least nothing from this century. Seems weird to have your doctor ask you what you think should be done - I didnt go to medical school, thats why Im at the office, for actual medical help. This guy is too old to be practicing medicine anymore, if you can even call what he does practicing, more like trial and error, with you as the Guinea Pig, not a patient, and its mostly error from my experience...AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COST... A doc in the box at a chain store would be a far better option, or just wait it out until you have to go to the ER - you are much better off.
