Terrible customer service, they canceled or changed my appointments three out of the three times i was there, and scheduled me with a dentist that couldn’t even do the root canel that i had been scheduled for for three months. they told me day of, that they could do my root canel, after i had been in pain that long and arrranged childcare and time off work. no apology or feelings of compassion, just terribly unprofessional. the place is also dirty, and dentist not covid safe. never been so disappointed in a dentist place. the best compliment i have is at least the dentist did a really good job floating my filling so it lined up well in my mouth. for that they get one star.

I was in college and didnt have time to make it to my regular dentist at home. I went in for the regular cleaning/checkup and he said I had cavities in all 4 wisdom teeth, in addition to 2 other cavities. He told me the 4 wisdom teeth needed to be removed ASAP and the 2 cavities filled. I told him Id schedule it at a later time. I went to my regular dentist 6 months later and she told me that my wisdom teeth were fine and getting them pulled was completely optional, given that they werent causing any problems (they werent, and still arent 10 years later). She also said I had no cavities. So basically Dr. Baker was trying to do work that I did not need so he could get paid. Based on that and reading the other reviews, I have no idea how this guy hasnt been sued for malpractice. My second issue with this dentist has to do with a small claim he placed against me. He claimed I did not pay the $20 copay the time I made the mistake of going to his office for a checkup, and went so far as to file a claim against me in small claims court. First, this claim was placed 3 years after I went there...so not really sure what the motivation was to place it. Second, its pretty tough to leave the office without paying the copay, plus I wouldnt have been able to pick up my prescription that he wrote for some mouthwash that Im guessing I didnt need. Just another attempt at trying to get yet more money. If youre thinking of going to this guy, punch yourself in the mouth instead because that will provide better care for your teeth than this guy will.

I have been going to Dr. Don for quite a while, at least 6 or 7 years. I have been treated with respect and kindness. I have always had a fear of dentists and they are very patient to make sure I am always comfortable with the procedure. I appreciate Dr. Dons many years experience and calm demeaner. I trust him and his staff for all of my dental needs.

Dr. Don knows his stuff. He was quickly, comfortably, and easily able to identify what was going on with my teeth: couteous, careful, and professional.Dr. Lisa has been fantastic with the kids, amd is also a pleasure.

It is really reasonably priced, but Ive had them mess up a couple of times. Once in my childhood they drilled into the wrong tooth when filling a cavity. A few months ago they messed up another cavity and had to redo it. But overall its usually a good place to go if you need a dentist and dont have much money.

Got me into the chair on very short notice as I was in pain and in need of doctoring ASAP. Doctor Don was professional, and certainly experienced. I highly recommend him and the staff at The Family Dentist here in Bloomington.

I also agree. Very poor cleaning and horrible wait time and he would not stop bragging about his college experience. Also he did a poor job on filling my fiances filling and he told me I was going to have to have $500 worth of fillings for five teeth. Went to my mothers dentist and I had one filling. yeah, rip off!!! Dont go there!!!

DO NOT let this man work on your mouth. I went in to have my wisdoms removed - first of all he lied to me and said that I had to have them removed while conscious. Then during the operation he did not give me enough numbing treatment, even when I said I was still in pain. It wasnt until I started wimpering with tears running down my cheeks that he decided to give me a tiny bit more numbing agent, which still wasnt enough. He did not explain a single thing he was doing in my mouth, he just yanked and pulled and drilled. At one point I was pretty sure he was drilling my tongue but I couldnt say anything least he drill through something more important - I tried to signal him by tapping, but I was ignored. I left the office in tears.Ive heard nothing but horror stories from other friends of mine who have gone there. This is not how getting your wisdoms is supposed to be - I got my other two wisdoms taken out by another dentist, I felt no pain at all.

I have been traumatized from my experience with Don Baker. I was 7-8 months pregnant when it came to a point I had to have my teeth pulled. Being pregnant I could not be put to sleep. I recently have started suffering from extreme mental pain from my tooth extraction with this dentist. I have flash backs that steal my breath away and leave me feeling as if I’m reliving the experience over and over. I’m setting up an appointment with a psychiatrist, I don’t know how to help myself get this experience out of my head. I’ve literally had episodes of crying, and gagging feeling as if I was going to throw up because the flash backs feel so real to my body. DO NOT USE this dentist to extract teeth. It’s not worth the trauma. He wanted me to look him in the eyes as I was coming out of my seat in so much pain. I did say I was pregnant right? I don’t know what type of stress it caused to my baby, but I can tell I’ll be living with this for a long time. I don’t know how I’ll ever force myself to get the rest of the teeth I need pulled done. PLEASE people listen to the bad comments on this one. I didn’t and I regret it everyday.

Absolutely awful. Don is abusive and traumatic. Do not take your kids here. Don’t even go to him as an adult.
