You get what you expect. Sales people kept pushing things at me that I didnt want or need. When I was asking for help I was treated pretty poorly. They do carry certain brands though that I can only get there. This just isnt my favorite location of ulta beauty if I am honest.

Have a good variety of products of diverse brands, like a regular Ulta I think is OK but I got disappointed because I couldnt see some news releases that it supposed was in Ulta (physical stores). With new protocol about covid you cant do swatches but panels where you can see palettes werent clean so I couldnt see some palettes very good, or palettes to show are a mess! Looks bad but rest is cleaned (floor, stands, products). I recommend maybe go to see your products to have an idea about colors and buy online because some products are expensive than on page and you dont have promotions here.

The store offers a good selection but is average compared to other locations in 5he metro. You wont find anything special here but you will find basics and a large variety of rollerball perfume.

I had a wonderful experience at Ulta Mall of America today. I travel by the bus , and I went to the mall today to look for a hair product that was said was in stock at the store online. When I arrived I did not see it was out on the floor in stock. I asked the associate (I forgot her name ): ) if it was in fact in stock and she took the extra time to look throughout the store front and back. Unfortunately it was not at the store. However, the associate gave me a coupon for free shipping on the item I wanted online, and gave me a generous discount on my shampoo I was purchasing as well. She made my shopping experience wonderful and I am so thankful for that!

The staff were extremely friendly outgoing fun and helpful they always put their foot forward to make a guest experience easy and quick especially when you dont know what you need or where to start. They want to make you feel beautiful and proud to be yourself!

Justine a.k.a Tin Tin, made our experience memorable! She was so willing to give my friend and I a makeover. Not only did she diligently apply makeup to our faces but she also talked to us and even explained the process of applying makeup. She was not judgemental at all and I really appreciate that! Queer friendly, bubbly personality, and a perfectionist in the BEST way*Went to the Ultra salon after work one day (I work at the mall so its super convenient) to chop off over a foot of hair that Ive been growing for about four or five years now so needless to say I was nervous. I worked with an AMAZING stylist, Sophie, what an absolute gem! She was immediately personable and easy going and got right to asking questions to fully understand what I wanted, even taking time for me to play around with it and make sure I was still able to put it up for work, braid it, etc. She talked me through everything she was doing as well as incorporating style tips as she went along. Shes been a hair stylist for over 6 years and it shows. My girlfriend was with me, as this was quite the nerve racking experience, and Sophie made us both feel so welcome and included. She even let her sit next to me and took before and after pictures for me. The day I was there they even had a live DJ so it was quite lively. I felt very comfortable with her and will 100% be going to her for all my hair needs!!!P. S since this is such a large location and its at the Mall of America it has A LOT of neat (and some free) events pretty often. The day I was there TwoFaced was giving free makeup tutorials and give aways. Im sure they post a calendar of events somewhere if youre looking for some free fun!

I spend thousands on good products a year, and this store treats me like Im a nobody, because what, Im an older woman... I would of spend a few hundred last night on new makeup and shampoos, but I guess the 16 year old broke girls are more important....

I go in regularly so see Toni to get my brows done! Toni is literally the best and they look perfect every time! She is so kind and professional. She remembered me after the first time I came in! I wouldn’t see anyone else!

If I could give less, I would. I booked an appointment, over the phone, almost a week ago for my niece’s birthday. We had everything confirmed. I then receive a text message today, saying that the person who booked our appointment didn’t do so properly (she booked it under someone who doesn’t do the service) and they don’t have availability to do it. Also, the service is a makeup application— now I have to find somewhere else last minute to do this service— on a Saturday— at mall of America.

The people working there were very polite and nice. It was a busy day, and they kept the line moving and did it with a smile

By far my favorite Ulta store. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, store is clean and well organized. I happily go out of my way to stop at this Ulta in particular.

Ive shopped at ULTA for years. We happened to be at MOA, and stopped in (I needed a few things). We were unacknowledged by the employees on the floor which was fine- I know my way around an ULTA, but were so disappointed to wait two minutes in an empty line because BOTH cashiers were busy talking to each other instead of paying attention to customers. When we walked up, I tried to talk to the cashier assisting me but she rolled her eyes at me and continued to talk louder to the other employee next to her about working more shifts together (something I wouldnt advise). I asked about a product in front of the cash register, to which she again rolled her eyes and just handed me my receipt. I have never had such an experience at an ULTA before and surely wont be back to this location.

I love makeup— I detest shopping here. The lines are way too long—and it’s ALWAYS so WARM in their stores—which compounds the suffering. I am a Diamond Member and a credit card holder... and if I didn’t love to shop for makeup I’d choose to make my purchases on line instead.

Everything was fine and good until The check out. The wait wasnt long. I got to register and was met by the customer service rep name Lauren. After giving her my phone # for my reward, I told her I would like to use my earn cash reward and individual gift receipts for two pallets. She first indicate there isnt any reward then said yes there is. She print out the gift receipt and it wasnt individual. I told her its okay and try to grab what I purchased. She did not look at me and just said hold on. After a 30 sec of her looking at the register, I told nicely her its fine. She didnt say anything this time and hold up her finger to silent me. She was still holding onto my purchased bag so I couldnt just walk out. Trying not to make a scene, I said loudly: its okay, give me my stuff and She did. What I experience was disrespect and rudeness. I believe Im a nice person and Im a loyal reward member but I would never return to MOA Ulta because of her. Theres an old saying for retail associates Years from now they will not remember what they purchase or your name but they will remember how YOU make them feel. Please change this if you want continue customers.

I love going to Ulta because they have SUCH. A wide variety of beauty care, and a ton of staff to help you with whatever you need. I focus more on skincare and cosmetics personally, and Im always checked up on by staff. They have skincare, cosmetics, hair care and styling, nail care, and beauty tools. If you cant find it in store, then you can find it online

I worked with two individuals that gave me great makeup advice, and I’ve been doing dramatic makeup for close to six years, so I’d like to think that I know a lot about the makeup world but they were able to answer my complicated questions and help me with everything I needed. 10/10 would go back to purchase more.

Got a salon service with Mark, full foil and then basically had a cut added on even though I was rather lukewarm about the idea. The color is spot on, but the cut is way too short. He asked me if I wanted an inch to an inch and a half off, this basically looks like two or so and the blunt end of the length hits at a really unflattering length for my height. I cant even put up my hair like Im supposed to for work anymore. I understand that thinner pieces of hair at the end of your length are more damaged, less strong, and apparently undesirable somehow, but I can legitimately say I have not felt this uncomfortable rocking a haircut in over five years. But the color was spot on. So theres that. And the man himself was exceedingly charming and easy/fun to talk to. I should speak up more when Im uncomfortable but I tend to let professionals do their thing but...Im really uncomfortable with how short this turned out, so I encourage you to speak up when you go in for a service. Youre the one who has to wear it for the next few months. I guess I relearned that lesson today.

I got my eyebrows done at the brow bar, and she missed large portions of obvious hair, and when getting them tinted, dyed most of my skin. also, i’ve gone to numerous ulta’s for my brows and not once was i denied service due to my age(i’m 17). i’m not sure if it was just that specific store, but i’ve never had to be 18 anywhere else.

They have pretty much anything you need for beauty (hair, skin, nails, perfume, etc.) at all price points. Luxury to drugstore brands. Love being able to test out products and in some cases, take home a small sample (Clinique and Lancome). Returns are easy, no worries if you didnt like the color, etc.

I spent time looking at the fragrances trying to find a new favorite. I wasn’t dressed nice or wearing makeup and as soon as I walked in several people guest services me and three stood and watched me for 20 mins while I tried some. The continued to overly guest service me like I was going to steal them blind. I picked one I liked and walked up to the counter only to hear the lady behind me warn the manager up front that I had an expensive fragrance and was going towards the door. Found this highly disrespectful as the other women in the store were not guest serviced and treated like this.

Covid shopping protocol established just not followed.

I was just at this store and was going to purchase something. I was approached by one of the ladies in a white coat and was asked if I need help finding anything. I replied I was browsing and that I did find what I was looking for and she replied back in a rude loud tone WELL, WE ARE CLOSED ITS 7:00! I was completely surprised by this rude and disgusting response, I replied back that I was done and she just stood there staring at me, it was really awkward so I walked away and decided not to purchase the item and to go elsewhere. There should be training on how to provide quality customer experience and RESPECT for customers especially at this store. I went to other ULTA stores before and usually receive good customer experience but I definitely wont return to this one.

Never shopping this location again. Never have I been treated so disrespectfully by a store employee.One of the testers was not labeled a tester but in the tester location on the shelf. An employee came up and started studying me. She then called over another associate over her radio. The next associate started talking to me like I was a child, asking if there was something she could help me with, when I was clearly just swatching lipsticks. She then proceeded to tell me that I cant open stuff myself. She asked where the box for the tester was. I said I didnt know. And the other associate actually said, Oh Im sure you dont. Ive never been so insulted. Accusing guests of lying? No thank you Ulta. Im transferring my business solely to Sephora.

Wasnt very friendly staff, out of a lot of product, and where product should be there would be something else. I had also asked an employee about where a Morphe pallet was since it had the wrong Morphe pallet in the spot where it shouldve been stored. She said she would go look in back and never came back.

I recently stopped by this store with my friend for some skin care products among other things. We took our time in the store, looking around and swatching stuff. While on the floor, staff was very nice and helpful. It wasn’t until we were about to pay for our products that my friend was detained by the cashier and the “store manager” (who never gave us her name) walked up to her and unjustly accused her of taking and/or misplacing a lipstick (a tester, not even new) and my friend of course did not take anything so she went ahead and told the staff that they could check her bags if they’d like (they did not). The “managers” behavior was incredibly disrespectful. She was publicly humiliating my friend who was so nervous/angry about the whole situation she didn’t even know what to say. This “manager” assured us they had her on camera and after repeatedly telling us to give the product back and us obviously not even knowing what product she was talking about. She threatens to call security to check our bags and we are more than willing to cooperate because we did not take anything. She never called security and then goes to tell us that she no longer wants us to come back and shop at that particular store. This person has the audacity to embarrass us infront of everyone by 1. falsely accusing us of stealing, 2. The way she was talking to us was extremely rude and unprofessional (someone professional would have dealt with the situation in a completely different way) , 3. telling us we can’t come back to shop at the store when she’s not even willing to check our bags so that she could see that we didn’t take anything. She had no actual proof yet treated us like she did. We were about to spend $100+ dollars at this store and she was accusing us of stealing a USED $20 lipstick? really? This was the most unpleasant experience me and my friend have had at an Ulta store. I hate to think she targeted us because of our color (both my friend and I are Latinas). I want to give her the benefit of the doubt but the way she treated us infront of all of the other customers and employees was not okay.We are frequent paying customers at this store but after this experience we will be taking our business elsewhere.

I dont think Ive ever hated a customer experience this much before. Ever.I have bright pink hair and multiple piercings and apparently that automatically means I dont know anything about makeup and I will definitely be stealing these things. I was testing one of the loose glitter products and I slipped up. Im on new meds and my hands are shaky, so I just overpoured a little by accident. A pretty rude d**k of an employee came over and loudly said if you need intructions on how to apply any makeup products please ask me instead of trying to do it yourself. And then proceeded to stand directly behind me in my personal space until I got irritated and left.Worst customer service. Worst. Save your time and go to sephora.
