I called the Bloomington Snips Salon inquiring about getting a hair color. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude. She was cutting me off when I spoke and very unhelpful. I was excited to go to this Salon but I can assure you that I will never go. At the end of the call I started saying “thank you for your help, I really appreciate your time.” She just hung up on me. I called back to get her name because I have never been treated so poorly as a customer. Her name was Becky. I never leave poor reviews but I feel a strong urge to post because no one should treat people that way especially in the service industry.

Kaitlyn is the best. She is the only person I will let color my hair. She is creative and always offers suggestions. My color turns out beautiful every time. She is very talented and you can tell she loves what she does.

I love Christina, she is the only one who does exactly what I ask her to do with my hair. I have been dealing with hair loss for over a year now and I am so glad I found a hairstylist who genuinely cares about her clients. My hair is so fine and fragile. And with Christina, my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been. Also, I had a bad hair dye when the salons opened from someone else and Christina helped me correct it. Wish I would have waited until she was available to dye my hair. She is so kind and honest. I don’t trust anyone else with my hair anymore.

Due to lifes distractions I put off writing my review for Christina Carters pedicure. I meant to write one right away about her wonderful customer service, her engaging personality, and the pure enjoyment of my time at Snips. Not only did we have a great conversation, including some laughs, but my feet felt great and my toes looked fabulous. What inspired my to write this review today was that I noticed my fingernails needed a manicure, done a day before my pedicure, but at my usual salon which didnt have time for both appts. However, my toes are still looking AMAZING!!!! I dont need a pedicure yet, and by the looks of my feet I will be able to go a few more weeks at least! Christina is definitely worth a trip to Snips!!!!

Christina at Snips SpaSalon is FABULOUS! The whole place is, actually. Everyone is nice, friendly, helpful and the dont push sales on you. My hair was growing out in a strange way, and it had this odd tint to it. I went to Christina and asked her to help. My hair is now a very nice cool blonde color and I love the cut!! Then I asked her to help me with my eyebrows (because I have to color them in every day or it looks like I dont have any). She shaped and tinted them and now no one asks if I have eye brows! I HIGHLY recommend Snips of Bloomington!!

Ive been seeing Sarah C for a few years now. After going to many salons in the twin cities for years before that, I was never quite happy with the color of my highlights. Sarah gets exactly what Im looking for every time. She takes her time in perfectly placing foils or blending in my regrowth with a great balayage and babylights. She gives the best head massages and always styles my hair after a cut, leaving me looking and feeling great. The price is also great compared to many other places Ive been in the twin cities.

It was my first time there. Cassie was AWESOME!She greeted me at the door. She was very welcoming. She made me feel comfortable. We chatted the whole time. The cut was awesome.

Sarah C. has been my stylist for years. She is absolutely fantastic with what she does and is willing to put in the extra time and work to make sure that you get the exact look that you are aiming for. She has done some amazing fashion colors for me that ended up being way more creative than what I had envisioned for myself. To top it off she does AMAZING cuts on kiddos too (even the fidgety ones), so she can literally be the stylist for your whole family! I love how easy it is to get booked for services with Snips too! I have yet to have anything but good things to say about this salon and my favorite stylist! Lastly, they have made fabulous accommodations for the COVID-19 pandemic including limiting entry within the salon (1 adult can enter per minor child), screening at the door for symptoms, and providing sanitizer upon entry to the facility. 5 STARS!

Have taken my 9 year old son here 3 times. Haircuts for him are $30. They don’t do a wash. The haircut was nice and they did a decent job but for $30, I atleast expect them to wash his hair. Unfortunately I won’t be returning. The price is too high for service rendered.

Recently had a full foil done by Vivian. Great friendly environment. Clean and very comfy salon. Greeted at the door, took my coat and hung it up. Was pleased with my hair, the color was great and the cut was wonderful. Will go back for sure. Great experience!!

This was an amazing find! A very nice Salon and Spa at reasonable prices. When you walk in you are greeted with a friendly face and very attentive employees. Ive been happy with my color and cut both times I have gone. I plan on trying other services as well in the future. They obviously work very hard at making this an establishment where one feels relaxed and catered to. It is clean and comfortable. I love that they have proper Furniture to wash your hair and not leave you in an uncomfortable position.

I have also gotten a pedicure done by Vivian. It was relaxing, the pedicure looked great, and the pedicure tools and salon were spotless.I just got a facial for the first time at Snips with Amanda. It was incredible! Talk about relaxing. Also - she was extremely knowledgeable about skin care products. She was attentive, customer focused, and knew the importance of balancing providing useful information while allowing quiet time to relax during the facial. Needless to say, I booked another facial for February with Amanda!I highly recommend giving this Salon a try! I will definitely be visiting Vivian and Amanda in the near future.

I asked for a manicure, thinking that they would ask if I wanted acrylics or not, (which they didnt), and then it ended up being natural nails. I said it was fine that she painted my natural nails, but when she finished painting the first hand, I thought to myself my two year old sister could do better than this kind of job. I was so aggravated with the results, that I just had to leave (obviously paid..... 32 for my right hand). Never coming back here again...

Shannon is amazing at waxing--and in general! The spa has a nice feel. Andrew is an incredible massage therapist too, who can also show demonstrate useful stretches to keep one feeling better between massages. (Prices are high here, though not higher than other places. Massages can be prepaid to get four for the price of three, which is a good deal.)

Walking into Snips is like walking into the Cheers bar for Norm - everybody knows your name and treats you like family!But really, the service I get here each and every time is beyond exceptional... And it doesnt matter what service you are coming in for: hair, nails, massage, facial, etc. The entire staff is AMAZING!

Overpriced services offered here for the most part.The massage therapy department used to be top notch but they lost a bunch of people a few years ago because of the $120 they would charge for a 1 hour massage, the therapist only got $15-20.....after that the quality dipped a bit.The stylists are decent and seem to like what they do, but again, the prices for services are quite steep compared to other salons in the area.

Snips is my go to for all things estheticians. Sunni and Laura are two very talented ladies with genuine passion for what they do. I see Laura for waxing and make-up for 10 years now. You really cant find anyone better. Sunni is so great at what she does. I recieve monthly facials from her and she has absolutely transformed my skin for the better.

Ive been going to this salon for a while now. Sarah M. is a great hair stylist, and Sunni is a great person who does waxing. It also helps that they are located across the road from my condo. Sunni recommended a dry skin cream for my face, I bought it (thought it was a bit pricey), but the cream has been great, and despite the high price, it will last a very long time. I highly recommend this salon.As of now, Sarah M. has switched to her own salon with another stylist. Ive decided to go to their salon and not Snips for hair. I still see Sunni for her services at Snips.

I visited the salon for the first time ever for a haircut Samantha. She was amazing and was very professional. I will forsure be back!

I consistantly am given different prices after my service. They print a price list but do not follow it.

I did not have a great first experience - I think the stylist was rather new - told me her scissors had a nick in them and needed to borrow someone elses, kept asking me how I wanted this part cut, and was very unsure of herself in making color choices - over processed my hair so it is a bit damaged now. I found out that she no longer works there and my son wanted a fun summer style so I thought i would try again. The stylist had a GREAT personality - really - great with my son but the cut is wildly uneven - the left side is lower than the right and it is just not at all the picture that we provided. The colorist who dyed his hair blue didnt wash out the blue nearly enough - he had lots of it left on his skin and dark blue streaks of color running down his face when sweating at soccer a couple hours later. bummer because I love the location and the ambiance. I will see if they will fix it and make it right.

The people are professional yet friendly and welcoming. The way I am treated is as important to me as the service that is performed and I am very pleased with both.

First time I went here Christine did my hair full foils and did such a great job. Second time I had to see Lauren because Christine wasn’t available and had to get my hair done ASAP. I was stuck at the salon for 4 damn hours and she had the foils in my hair for 2 hours literally burned my entire hair. I asked her for a trim and to even out my hair she literally took a snip here and there so fast not even doing a normal cut she charged me $50 for a damn trim REALLY??!!! They charge $50 no matter what kind of hair cut you get I just think that its ridiculous and feel like they are ripping customers off!!! Last but not least she charged me $180 total with hair cut included and burned my damn hair and didn’t get a hair cut I asked for. My hair looked so uneven even though I asked her to even it out I mean it was just a horrible experience and I will never go back!!! I first thought I found my go to place but I guess I was totally wrong!! Don’t waste your money on these unprofessional hair stylists that can damage your hair in a blink of an eye!

I would give it the lowest rating ever! My fiancé got her hair done and we had to go to another place to get it fixed that cost double what we payed for to get it done! I would not recommend this place to anyone and I would love a refund very much!

Snips is always accommodating. Customers are #1 and always taken of. Many services offered. Ive had manis/pedis, haircuts, and massage. I always leave feeling pampered.

Horrible experience. I took my mom there for her birthday and her hair colorist did a great job on her however mine was awful. She turned my blonde hair into brown, the service took over 3 hours (I dont have long hair), she kept leaving to ask other hair colorists questions, and when I clearly told her that I didnt like the result, she told me to go home and wash my hair a few times. The lady who charged us for the services, charged us for the wrong services and wrong amounts. I was later contacted by the manager to pay for the correct services (which I found very unprofessional). I had to call 3 times to get ahold of the manager to let her know what transpired. Ive spent thousands of dollars turning my hair into a beautiful shade of blonde and this salon wrecked it. The manager made excuses for her employee and blamed it on a lack of communication between us. I showed the employee numerous photos of what I was looking for and clearly, it wasnt brown hair. This has been my first experience at a salon that was incredibly unprofessional, non-apologetic, and slow. I will never be going back here again.

This salon has always surprised me with the pretencious façade it puts on...as if they were a sophisticated salon. I went in there to check on a product I could see in the window, and had my service dog with me and was immediately stopped from entering. The employee said that they dont have to allow service animals on the premises! I could not believe this. I have had a service dog for 16 years now and have never been denied access anywhere, which is the law. It shocked me quite honestly. I feel very discriminated against and will never give them my business!
