Expensive to say the least..Yet you get what you pay for! Highly recommend KB Electric. They are high quality electricians that do the job right the first time!

Wow!! Im very glad that I waited for their service. I made my appointment for a 2 weeks wait but when they did have a cancellation they called right away and showed up. Technician, I think his name is Henry came and fixed my circuit breaker for my air condition during the 95 degrees heat. I appreciate so much and I do recommend this company. Electrical problem is a must repair but giving them opportunity to fix it is worth waiting because of their great service. And I havent mentioned too that I havent paid them because they came and I was at work. They finished the job without any commitment. Again, this is the place to do business with any electrical work. Salute!

David and Alejandro came out because we thought we had blown a fuse on one of the walls, but the fix was just a tripped breaker we couldnt figure out. They werent going to charge us, but then we asked if they could install a flood light for us in our backyard and they said sure, and did an excellent job doing so. Would highly recommend KB

Henrry arrived on time. Was very pleasant . Meticulously fixed two outlets and a switch that were loose or poorly installed by previous electricians and most importantly he was incredibly patient when we were forgetful and slow to find the final circuit box in the house . I should add that 3 years ago it was another KB electrician who did a beautiful job disconnecting ALL the knob and tube wiring from our c. 1916 home. That job is incredibly invasive and almost forensic in nature and requires wall cuts etc. KB was one of very few electricians that I could find to do the work and KB sincerely attempted to limit the collateral damage to the walls and ceilings by making a series of smaller cuts . The work was excellent. Thank you KB!

Overall excellent experience in terms of cost estimation, communication and job execution. Ramiro and his team were extremely punctual, professional and tidy. Ramiro explained each task in the work order and methodology clearly and kept me up to date on status throughout the work day. The team was very respectful and cleaned up nicely. I’m certainly going to use KB again in the future and look forward to working with Ramiro again.

I would like to say thank you to the KB electric team that helped improve our home with the attention to detail that we were looking for. It all started with the Alicia the office manager. She was such a pleasure to speak with coordinate our K&T rewire. Alicia and the team were willing to go out of their service area and travel over an hour to our home. She answered all of my questions quickly and knowledgeably via phone and email. Egan led the project with the help of Orlando and Dennis. The team was a pleasure to work with and have in our home. They arrived on time everyday as promised and finished up in the same manner. Egan took the time to answer all of my questions and knew exactly want I wanted. You can tell that Egan has been doing this for a long time. Egan and the team cleaned up and put all supplies away at the end of every day. Egan would communicate with me daily and explain where they were in the project. The consistency of their work and cleaning up every day is key and it shows their professionalism and knowledge in what they do. Egan and the team also completed a list of other items that I had wanted completed while they were here. I couldn’t be happier with the finished project and their attention to detail. The crew of Darwin and Christian were awesome. They came in when they said they would, and were extremely respectful of the space. The work was clean as they put plastic over everything and cleaned at the end of the day to the point it was like they were never there. All work was done well and I have nothing negative to say.

Ill use KB every time. Frank came to install an outlet and a doorbell. He also fixed a bad switch and removed an old mysterious backyard wire. He did all the work quickly. He was friendly and explained what he was doing. Great work, fair price.

I have used KB Electric for a number of home improvement projects and I would trust no one else. They fixed a prior subcontractors awful electrical work on an outdoor deck and made sure everything was working to perfection. They installed an electrical meter and lighting in an outdoor shed, serviced a generator, and are now installing under-counter lights on an outdoor kitchen. Just top notch work. I had Henry from KB Electric come to my home to repair my outdoor speakers. The wires had been eaten by a squirrel. He did a great job and now we have surround sound! He was so good I called again and had him install a new outlet for a grill. Great Job! Nice guy. Fast and to the point. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Working with KB Electric the second time was a nightmare. They are dishonest, not transparent with their pricing, assistants are represented as licensed electricians and communication is poor. KB sent Egan and his assistant (who Egan tried to pass off as a licensed electrician). What KB hadnt explained was that Egan was going to bill us for his time teaching his apprentice. The work involved could have easily been done in less time. On top of that, Egan was an unpleasant person to deal with -- constantly talking over me, raising his voice and giving me attitude as I went through the list of to-do items. It was as if he was annoyed for not knowing about the list (a list I had gone through in detail with the office when I booked the appt). He completely disregarded my instructions to not put any door bell wiring on the door frame because it is about to be replaced with a new door and frame. And what does he do?! He staples the wiring right on to the door frame that will soon be removed. I follow the sloppy wiring job, and notice theres not enough slack to it so Im not sure how my contractor will work with that when the time comes. Finally, when I noticed they were taking what seemed like forever installing a ceiling fan, it turned out that Egan was in full teaching mode. When I asked them if there was a problem thats causing the delay, Egan became irate and defensive and blamed the wiring in my house. Immediately thereafter, my ceiling fan was installed. I wonder how quickly all the other items would have been installed if I had intervened like I did with the fan? Im not even going into detail about how bad a job he was doing with my wall sconce (which he never completed) and how rude he was with my spouse. I will not be working with this company again nor would I recommend them.

We had a mid-sized project and overall had a positive experience in particular with Henry, the lead electrician, and Juan who was working with him.The scope included all new smart LED and HomeKit compatible switches, installing several new indoor and outdoor fixtures and outlets, and installing an underground power and data line from the house to the garage. Overall the team of 2-3 electricians were here for about 8 days. The pricing was very fair for the scope and we didn’t feel nickel and dimed.With as many finishes as were installed and having an old house there were a couple follow ups required but that was expected. Henry was very responsive during the follow-ups and was able to stop by within 1-2 business days, which was great.The only feedback is around scheduling - the team was not scheduled for the required length for the project so had to come back in 4 separate 1-3 day visits over 2 months. Due to covid I suspect the time between visits was longer than normal, and in any event would be worth double confirming the expected time up front.Overall, good value, friendly helpful guys, and good work. Definitely would recommend for your project.

I used KB on two separate ocassions. The electrician, Egan, was very personable and explained everything in detail. I used him on a second ocassion because I was so pleased with his level of professionalism. I will be utilizing his services in the near future as well.

KB Electric just finished a small job at our apartment. Even though it was a smaller job, they took great care to complete it. They answered all of the questions that I asked and made recommendations for how to move forward. When we set up the appointment, we were responded to immediately and the receptionist was patient to help me figure out a time that worked with my work schedule. Thank you KB Electric - especially Von and Sam.

I’ve used KB successfully in the past, but this company has gone downhill and I would not recommend them anymore. Unfortunately, they seem to have gotten too big and successful for their own good.I scheduled an appointment with KB to repair a broken thermostat yesterday. They came promptly but the technician who came out was clearly inexperienced. After 20 minutes of “diagnosis” (which consisted of him using his meter to test if there was a signal in the wires), he admitted that he had come to a dead end and had no idea what the issue was. We had replaced our furnace about 7 months ago, and his only suggestion was to try calling the plumber to ask if he had any idea about the issue. Mind you: this was an electrical issue, but he was trying to shift responsibility to the plumber. We call the plumber. He came out and confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the furnace itself, and he suggested an electrician for us to call to fix the problem. Meanwhile, I ask the KB technician where that leaves us? It was an awkward situation that I’ve never encountered before – the “professional” I just hired to do the job didn’t know what he was doing and couldn’t fix the problem. As a business owner myself, the reasonable response here would be: hey I’m sorry for wasting your time, this visit is on me. But KB, being too big for their britches, decided that I owed them $135 for their valuable experts time for doing something I could have done myself, which is a whole lot of nothing at all. I tried discussing this issue with sales rep Joe, but I was met with a non-apologetic apology. His basic argument with me was that the electrician who installed the furnace must’ve done something wrong, so it’s his fault. Ok, great, but even assuming that the original installer did something wrong, aren’t I hiring YOU now, to figure out what the problem is and fix it? He basically said, nope too bad, I’m sorry that my guy spent an hour at your house effectively doing nothing, but bottom line is he spent an hour there, so you have to pay up. Translation: if you call us to schedule an appointment, you better roll your dice and hope we send you someone competent, because problem fixed or not, we’re going to charge you anyway!Fast forward to today. The electrician who my plumber recommended came out. Just spending 5 minutes talking to him I could tell that he was way more experienced than the KB tech and he knew exactly what he was talking about. He quickly figured out that it was actually our HVAC installers (who originally installed our AC system 5-6 years ago) who had wired the thermostat improperly. Did he say to me “hey maybe you should call your AC guys to fix this!”? Nope, he went ahead and fixed the problem, like a real electrician does. How much did I pay for today’s visit? $165. That’s only $30 more than KB’s fee for sending someone to waste my time for an hour. Come to think of it, maybe I should send KB a bill for wasting my valuable time…

Will, from KB electric,LLC, was knowledgeable, professional and hardy. I say hardy because it was quite cold and he did two outside locations laughing the entire time. The install went with out a hitch. He explained everything with a smile. It was a Friday and he happily stay upon completion and answered as number of questions that arose. The only thing i have some consternation about, therefore, the b rating for the price, is the quality of units placed. The ones used were the same Home Depot brands i returned just the other day ,expecting the ones the installed to be a higher end contractor brand . we will see.

Crooked Ceiling Light - KB Electric is a big deal around the town, big awards, and tracks and lawn signs everywhere. So we called KB to replace a ceiling light. A no more than 20 minutes of the job was milked into almost two hours (KB charges based on hours), and the electrician just couldnt get the light installed properly (I have photo to approve). We are so embarrassed by the crooked light in our dining room to people come over and to ourselves. Now we plan to fix it. Electricians from other companies pointed out that it needs an electrical box to install the light properly. How can KBs electrician not know the basics, milk the time, take the money, and walk away from the botched job?

This is a Professional and knowledgeable company who delivers quality work and a friendly service. They are responsive and demonstrate a sense of urgency with your needs. Truly full service and relationship driven. Would highly recommend them for any job.

KB Electric has done fantastic work at my home. They always arrive promptly and are extremely professional. The service is always top quality and they always have great suggestions for how I can save money in my home while making my home more comfortable.

I have not had service done yet but just calling to make an appointment was easy. The gentleman who answered listened to my concerns and said he will be here within the week and took down all contact information. Im only writing this because I did read a review that stated if you are a woman be careful WELL NO COMPLAINTS HERE very happy with my call in and the response.

We were doing some home renovations and the electric cable to our oven accidentally got cut. We were horrified and worried this would delay our renovations but Joe from KB Electric responded immediately and was able to accommodate the next day and also gave me a reasonable estimate. However, when the electrician (Larry) came he advised us that he was able to repair vs. replace and therefore, we were able to save a few hundred $. We were shocked at not only how quickly this got fixed but the honesty and professionalism we received. We will forever be KBE customers.

Excellent company! We needed a lot of electrical work done on our house from upgrading electrical lines in rooms to replacing an old outdated electrical panel. We called KB to come give us a quote, and we didnt even need to haggle, their price was already lower than some other companies we asked for quotes from.After providing them a 50% down payment, they were there to do the work 2 days later and had the job done in another 2 days.I highly recommend this company if you need electrical work done.

Sal and Rocco were great. They arrived on time and were very neat. They installed high hats and a ceiling fan in my living room and replaced fixtures in my kitchen and dining room. They were extremely polite and explained everything as they completed the project. I am so pleased with the results and will definitely use KB Electric again.

I have used this company twice so far. I will never use this company again. At both times they gave me a price for the work. the first time they did the job it wound up approximately $50.00 over the quote price. The second time It ran over the quote price by $75.00. Just make sure your going to be paying the price that was quoted to you.

I am amazed by this outfit. Egan terrific and an absolute master. Pleasure to have him in my home. Super tough job and a historical home treated with the utmost care. Egan is a jewel and a top expert in the entire area. Dexter and Egan wrapped my furniture made the smallest DEMO holes possible and rid my entire home of KNOB and TUBE in Montclair. These guys are GREAT. They installed a charging station for my electric car about 2 years ago. When I decided to moved, they uninstalled the the station and moved it to my new house all in under 3 hours. Priced competitively and great work. This will be my Go-To Electrician company from now on.

Electrical outlets for 2 rooms shorted out and stopped working in old-fashioned Hoboken Brownstone. Needed both up and running ASAP.Work came out absolutely perfect. Electrician was punctual. Job was done in 2 hours and everything here is back to normal. A true professional, would hire again for any serious electrical work, theyve earned my trust.

BEST CHOICE trusting, reasonable, quick results-October 15 2015--My first time using this service.KB Showed up faster than expectedKB found a clock plugged into a wall socket, the clock wire had exposed raw wires tripping the breaker ( which prevented a fire) the tenant was at faultKB charged for a regular house call $105 instead of emergency house call ($175)SECOND JOB:-- October 28 2015-- KB grounded 5 sockets ( apparently the ground wires naturally disintegrate after 95 years )even though this is not urgent to repair-- cost $240

I was extremely happy with the service Rocco provided. This young man was professional, courteous and friendly. It literally took him 2 seconds to troubleshoot and fix the problem. This problem was a complete oversight on my part. Even thou Im happy with Roccos service, Im not so happy with the office manager for not allowing Rocco to give me a big break in the price for a job that took only 2 seconds.

I called another electrician to replace a pull chain in my kitchen. They cancelled at the last minute, so I decided to call KB Electric. Rocco showed up on time, was very pleasant and professional. The job was done in a matter of minutes. I was so pleased with the service, when I needed a circuit breaker replaced the following week I called again. Bryan was great. The problem was a little more involved then expected, but Bryan found the problem and fixed it. It was a pleasure working with him and KB Electric.

Honest, friendly contractor who values its customers!

I called asking for an electrician to come assess my apartment and the extra electricity charges. The man I spoke to claimed that they cant even look at my meter for me or enter the property without my landlords premission, when I am renting the apartment. He began to become extremely rude, calling me stupid and a dumb girl when I didnt understand how an electrician couldnt come and check out my electricity. I calmly asked if I could speak to someone else and he hung up on me after calling a very inappropriate name. I was flabbergasted. Completely unhelpful, and extremely sexist. Be careful calling this place, especially if you are a woman.

Our home was recently struck by lighening and we called KB and Alicha answered the phone... she was such a pleasure to speak with and got us an appointment very quickly. Rocco, who is an amazing electrician in our estimation had a job on his hands, it was like finding a needle in a haystack type issues due to the lightning strike. We had so many issues from electrical outlets burned to wiring that was destroyed, etc. and he was able to find the issues and fix them on the spot. We cant thank him enough! We needed our electrical box replaced and decided to try KB electric because of the fabulous reviews. Our appointment was made quickly, Rocco and his helpers arrived on time and worked quietly and quickly. Just as they finished up and left, a violent cold front came through with 60 MPH+ gusts. Our lights and microwave began flickering almost rhythmically so we called the office only to be told that there was no one available to come out until the next morning. We were concerned because in the 18 years weve been at this house, this phenomenon had never happened. We went to bed rather nervously but Rocco showed up at 8 on the next morning with Sal and they immediately and thoroughly inspected their work from the day before for any loose wires or surges in electricity. They allowed my fears 100% And did so with great kindness and empathy for which I am truly grateful.I give KB Electric five stars, pending inspection which I expect to go perfectly, whenever that happens. Rocco and Sal were wonderful and I cannot recommend them enough.

7/12/2017I have used K B Electric for sometime now and cant say enough about them. They live up to their rewards in customer service and workmanship. When I call the staff they are always friendly and proffesional. They are always there to make sure to set up a time that works for me. They sent me their electician Egan awhile ago and now i ask for him all the time because he like the other workers you can trust what he says. Egan is exceptionally good and i know he will not do work that isnt needed even if it is part of what i asked for. Egan is very neat and cleans up when done.I would recommend them and do when someone talks about a electric compay. People are always looking for Good Reliable Electrician, who are trust worthy, and reasonably priced and KB Electric, Inc. diffently fits the bill.Thank you. Gerry

Terrible service. They worked very slow - never pay them by hour - my biggest mistake. After calling them to complain they hung up on me - their manager, forgot her name.
