My father passed in August 2021 unexpectedly. We were turn away rudly at another funeral home, when we called Halpin-Bitecola the staff was very comforting and supportive and invited us there. We walked in and met Melaine. The moment on I knew we were in the best place we could be. The planning, the services the cost it all was so smooth and effortless. I felt among family. I believe this funeral home should be the standard of all funeral homes. They provide patience, comfort, honesty, and support. No need to go anywhere else. The entire staff is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

The operations of the viewing and funeral was amazingly smooth. Melanie and Dan were tremendously accommodating. After my Mom died we thought about having a closed casket viewing. She lost a lot of weight and her face did not look like her as she looked six months prior to entering the nursing home. When I saw my Mom in the casket at the viewing, I could not believe my eyes. Our family recently lost our stepfather, who was born, raised, lived and worked in Bloomfield (as a Bloomfield Police Officer), until moving to Georgia several years ago where he passed away in August. Dan and Melanie Bitecola arranged everything -his transportation from Georgia to New Jersey, working with the funeral home in Georgia, arranging for the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard, a BPD motorcycle escort to the church and then to cemetery and the USAF Honor Guard.
