I had an amazing experience here. I am thankful for the recommendation I received to come here. They were warm and friendly from the walk in. There is tv to relax with while getting serviced. The hygienist was knowledgeable, gentle (which is what I needed the most), she was very quick but efficient. When the doctor came in , the experience got even better. He went over options to get to the best smile and was also gentle and super friendly. This place is a hidden gem! I’ll be recruiting everyone I know here.

These guys have been awesome everytime. But the dentist took me in an EMERGENCY and did an awesome job fixing what another dentist (under my insurance) did. My tooth had cracked in half and once the dentist helped to clear up, what became infected, he broke up the molar and removed each piece carefully. It didnt even hurt. He then worked with me to pay out of pocket.

Excellent customer service from staff. Dr. Alvarez was helpful and provided some helpful insight during my consultation. Typically I become anxious when going to the dentist, Bloomfield Dental Design- alleviated my worries.

Since I am paying out of pocket not using my insurance, I chose this dental clinic after seeing great reviews. It sucks im the one who received a bad experience. Waited more than an hour to get seen. No sincere apology when I’ve expressed my disappointment w time management.In the future, if the doctor is running late or still busy w another client, a simple update upon check in or courtesy call will suffice. Patient’s time should be as important as doctors time.

Dr. Alvarez had such a good impression when I saw him at Jersey Garden Dental, that when he left to start his practice, I followed him. And been his patient since. Such a kind person. And Bebe is great too!

The moment I walked in the office it was an amazing experience. All staff were all wonderful, helpful and professional throughout my visit. Office space is extremely clean, comfortable and bib was very knowledgeable warm hearted and gentle throughout my cleaning. Dr Alvarez I can say is the best dentist I’ve been to, very upfront and has informed me of different options we can touch base on, also first dentist that actually took the time to ask me what I wanted and how I feel; and actually cares about my long term smile goal. Ive been going to Dr. Alvarez for about 5 years and he is amazing. The office staff are very professional and the office space is immaculate. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and did an amazing job with my veneers. They look very natural and I always get compliments on my smile. This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. Dr. Alvarez and his staff are so polite and friendly. My 9yr old daughter will not let anyone else touch her mouth lol. Lorena, at the front desk is on the ball and goes above and beyond to help the patients. During this crazy pandemic I have been in the office twice and my daughter once, they are extremely clean (which is normal for this office) and abiding by all safety regulations. I would recommend this office to anyone looking.

Great dentist, terrible customer service. The switchboard operator rarely pick up, never call you back if you leave a voicemail, and does not even follow up on current/prospective treatment like they say they would. A real headache!

The receptionist are excellent in their job and 100 customer service, the doctor Is awesome and you can tell he cares about his patients and wants what’s best for them!! He makes sure you understand what his going to do and why it’s important for you, the lady hygienist she was sweet and caring and she didn’t make me feel uncomfortable!! It’s worth your money!! I will say cheap too because the service their giving me is the same service I got 4 yrs ago from a dental in OK and that dental cheat me out of my insurance!! I had to pay out of pocket so it’s like $2,000 plus my insurance payment!! Smh!! I really appreciate and am so glad my family and I chose this dental!! Honest people and doctor!! This dentist and all the people working there are amazing. I had some really bad experiences with my last two dentists and I was referred to this one by a friend who highly recommend him. This dentist listened to my concerns took everything I said into account explained everything that needed to be done even drew me a picture to explain and he said he was able to save my tooth that two other doctors said they had to remove. He takes a lot of pride in his work. I’m very happy I found this place it’s far from me but I will take the drive for me and my son to have a good dentist.

I had another dental appointment and again it was the best experience ever. Dr Alvarez is a wonderful doctor, the staff is professional and warm, the offices are impeccable and there is never a delay. The positive attributes are countless. Although my cleaning appointment occurred about a month ago I could not let the opportunity slip by to write this review at the first opportunity. It is with much sadness that we have just moved out of NJ and will probably not be using his services any longer. Although, my husband and I agree that he would be worth the trip!

Ive been doing to Bloomfield Dental Designs for a few years now and have been consistently happy with the entire offices service and Dr. Alvarezs knowledge. For years I suffered from TMJ pain and visited several different dentists to treat it, Dr. Alavarez effectively treated the pain with a simple corrective device. Recently I had a indescribable pain in my teeth and Dr. Alvarez was able to pinpoint it immediately without unnecessarily drilling into my teeth or blindly providing antibiotics ... turned out it was nerve pain from a neck injury and with physical therapy the teeth pain went away. I highly recommend Bloomfield Dental!

From setting up appointment, registration and check up process, all staff and doctor you met were wonderful, professional and dedicated people. Dr. Alvarez is super gentle and caring. This surpasses all dentist experiences I have ever had. He truly listens to my concerns and explains everything in detail. The staff is phenomenal. Ive been going here for a few years now. I must say amazing dentist with not so great staff members.He is the one of the best dentists Ive experienced in my life and I would very much love to have him as my dentist for as long as possible. However, I fear that his staffs would prevent that in the near future.They never call when they say they would call. The appointment time is almost never respected. They never let you know in advance if something comes up. I have gone to my appointments and waited to be seen and ended up leaving without anything, probably about three times so far. It was never like that in his office a few years ago.They get more patients and get busy, they stop caring for the patients.

The receptionist was very nice and professional. the waiting area was very clean and contemporary with a small flat screen TV in the corner. The lobby couches are very comfortable. The staff was very knowledgeable. They made me and my husband feel very comfortable. They even offered to play some Netflix while I waited in the doctors chair. The cleaning was very good. I didnt feel judged or uncomfortable.

I need a lot of work done and we started it today. I left without looking in a mirror and when I got to my car I was so happy I had to call them and let them know how great it looks so far. I have been to several dentists throughout the years, because I take oral health seriously. This office provided outstanding service. Some dentists, when they do a cleaning, it is uncomfortable. However, the experience here at this office was seriously outstanding. Also, when it comes to customer service, that is VERY important. And so, you get both excellent customer service, as well as the actual dental experience. I also observed state of the art equipment. I even watched a little Netflix after my cleaning. Outstanding. I am from Virginia and I was visiting my fiance family 2 weeks before Christmas. I got hit with a bad toothache and I didnt have a lot of money but Dr. Alvarez and his staff took all my worries away fixed my tooth and showed my wallet some mercy. I tell you everyone New Jersey has a special doctor and his staff there. The office is up to date, very clean and Dr. Alvarez dental skills are at the top. I think this is a good Dentist Place. The doctors are respectful, patient and most of all has good comfort. They greed you as you walk in by saying Good Morning. Once you arrived to the Dentist Office they put on what ever you like from Netflix. When the doctor walks in by saying Hello. My name is Dr. ....... The reason I didnt rate this fully is because, they are really slow. I had to get my retainer fixed. They said to weeks to take away the swelling. I came back and said wait to 2 weeks to order a new retainer. The next 2 weeks I came back and they said 2 weeks again because, they didnt have the order and was two weeks again. Now a couple of days they said it was canceled for 2 weeks again. My Dentist appointment is Friday. Hofally they dont say the same.

They were so nice that I end up making an appointment for myself that day… I had such a good experience that I decided to make another appointment to have all my wisdom teeth removed (they were bothering me for years). I was a long time patient of Dr. Alvarezs when I received a phone call from the front desk saying that they no longer full accept my insurance and that at my next already scheduled doctors visit I would have to pay $150 dollars. I was upset to say the least. Especially since I requested a phone call from the Dr. himself, 4 months ago and am still waiting to get that call. I feel it was very unprofessional of their office. I have never been treated like this before from a doctor that I once had a very fun, playful, relaxed and enjoyable relationship with. In fact, I highly recommended him at one point. I bought him business, I even had my whole family going,. my parents were coming from DE, my husband and even thought of moving my kids but thank goodness I didnt. My kids have a great doctor who isnt even in my insurance plan but he takes it because he REALLY CARES ABOUT THE KIDS MORE THAN HE DOES HIS WALLET. Now im on the hunt again for another dentist and its a struggle, to me a good dentist is like a good GYN, you dont just open for everyone. I am just really disappointed in the final treatment I received from this office as I thought we had better relations and I think I could have accepted it better or even had been willing to pay the extra money had I received the courtesy phone call I requested from the Dr. oh well.. guess im just one patient who doesnt really matter.

I love Dr. Alvarez in his team. Ive been there for 2 visits. The first one I was scheduled for a cleaning- the dental hygentist was a sweetheart. They identified I needed fillings done- Dr. Alvarez said he could get the fillings done right away instead of having me come back and make a new appointment! I have never heard of a dentist office do that!! I always hear people complain how they have to come back and make separate appointments for each filling. Today, I came back for my 2nd cleaning this year- I should mention that due to my schedule I had to move the appointment a couple of times but they had no problem accommodating me. Anyhow, I had a new dental hygienist, Viviana- whom was even nicer and super gentle considering I have super sensitive gums and a couple of teeth. She kept checking if I was in pain.
