I had my free lasik eye consultation at NSES in Edina and the people there were really friendly and professional. I got my eyes checked by a nurse and then finally met with Dr. Loomis who also checked my eyes to make sure what strength was the prescription for my eyes and make sure nothing else serious was found. Dr. Loomis was great and answered all of my questions and said I was a good candidate for lasik surgery correction procedure. I wanted to be able to see close and far without reading glasses. He said we can try mono contacts to see how Id do. I tried it and my eyes couldnt adjust to them so Dr. Loomis recommended distance vision correction instead and get reading glasses for near vision. I agreed with that decision as I know Id have a hard time adjusting.During the day of my procedure everything went great. Took 2 valium tablets which calmed me down quite a bit. I met Dr. Lobanoff who explained everything step by step of how things were gonna go. It took less than 5 mins and both of my eyes were done. Afterwards I could see somewhat clearer without my glasses. I went home and took a nap. After waking up a few hours later my eyes could see better but not quite clear. Next day I went to my follow up appt and met Dr. Eggeman and he assured me that my eyes were doing great. It just takes time for my cornea to heal and once it does my vision will become a lot clearer. Following my appt I went home and spent the whole day with my family. My eyes got clearer and I can see a lot better. Im hoping things will get a lot better in the next few weeks. I highly recommend NSES for anyone considering lasik eye surgery. Dr. Lobanoff and his team are awesome!

I had my surgery in October of 2020. I wanted to wait a while to give my review of the surgery. I figured waiting a while would give a more realistic review of LASIK.I would do it again in a heartbeat. The process was very simple. 3 visits,1 candidate visit, to make sure your eyes are good candidate for the procedure. You ate put through multiple machines to measure your eyeballs, and if you are a good candidate, they now have a map of your eye, so the lasers know what to do on the day of the surgery.1 Visit to do the surgery. You are put in a calming room for 15 minutes or so, and then you step into the surgery room. You lay down, they put some stuff on one eye, so your lid cannot shut, and line up the laser, 15 second countdown, your vision goes black at about 5 seconds in, you are notified every 5 seconds and its done. Then they hold open your other eyelid, complete the same process to the second eye, and you get up from the table and you can see.You get some shields to tape over your eyes at night, so you dont rub your eyes on accident, wear them! Over the first few weeks you put in some medicated lubrication drops, you start with many times a day, and lessen the amount as time moves on.During these first few weeks, my eyes felt a bit tight or tired, but no pain involved.That tight feeling is around month long or so, and it is not like your eyes feel tight all the time, 99% of the day you feel like normal (accept you can see now!) and your eyes just kind of tighten up ad a few of the drops they provide, and the feeling goes away.This tight feeling is just your eyes healing, and once they are fully healed, you just walk around enjoying life, seeing everything and enjoying life more than ever.The 3rd checkup is the day after your surgery, it is only a few minutes, and they just want to make sure there is no complications.Dr. Mark Lobanoff changed my life. It should also be noted that this doctor created the software that is used to do the surgery. You are not getting someone who is practicing some elses program, you are getting the creator of his own version of LASIK, working on your eyes himself.I am sure they are other good doctors out there, but since my surgery went 100% complication free, and I cant explain how impressed I am, I would recommend getting an appointment with MARK LOBANOFF, you would be hard pressed to find a better LASIK surgeon, if you searched your entire life.My only regret of the whole process, is not getting it done 5 years ago.Thanks again Dr. Lobanoff, you have changed my life!

I don’t leave many reviews but when I get exceptional care like I did with Dr. Lobanoff, MD,I can’t help to share it with others that are looking for a competent, caring & down to earth specialist for something as precious as our sight.You need not look further! I had Lasic yrs ago & still had my distance vision - but as we age, we can loose our close up vision. It was very hard to wear “cheaters” during pandemic as they fog up & I couldn’t see to do my job. I was so desperate that I was ready to pay for artificial lenses so I wouldn’t need the glasses.I made an appt with Dr. Lobenough through a referral from someone I trusted. My vision was checked thoroughy and then I spoke to Dr. Lobenough who said I was a good candidate for mono vision. He said we could keep distance in one eye & correct the other with a lazer to see close up. I am prone to migraines so I wasn’t too sure I could handle it. He understood & suggested I first try it using a contact in my one eye for close up & see how it goes over a couple of weeks.I did get a couple migraines the first 2 days, but I persisted and after two days they stopped & they worked great!So I called and scheduled surgery & had it done yesterday with today being my follow up and everything looks good AND I could already read close up!Oh boy! I CAN READ THIS AS I TYPE IT! Wow!I know this review was long but I truly hope it will help you and others that are in a similar situation. The entire team was wonderful & I am so thankful all of them!

38 years later and 1000s of dollars in New glasses and sun glasses, I finally decided to get rid of them. Really positive experience. I deal with high anxiety and Dr. Lobanoff and his team made the whole experience stress free. This is my second time to have Dr lobanoff to do lasix for me, this time was an enhancement to sharpen up my vision. I work for allina & schedule patients sometimes that need preop exams because they are having cateract surgery or other kind of eye surgery and I need to put down the provider that is doing the surgery and when they say its Dr lobanoff I tell them he is fabulous and they are going to love him.

Dr. Mark Lobanoff and his team are the best! I had my LASIK procedure done through them 7 years ago and just had my enhancement done yesterday. Everyone is always so helpful and both times I felt relaxed and safe during my procedure. If you have any questions in regards to your procedure you can always call them up and they will assist you. I do not regret my decision at all to work with Dr. Lobanoff and the rest of his team. I also go to North Suburban for my yearly eye exam. They really know how to treat thier patients well.

Best decision for my eyes! I did a lot of research and I had 3 different consults with 3 different types of technology. Doctor Lobanoff, his technology and staff made the decision easy. Technology/technique aside let me tell you what else set him apart- Lifetime Enhancement. The other two places I visited would only promise 20/20 vision and stand behind that only if you did not achieve that at your one week follow up. The hassle of contacts and glasses aside part of my thought of paying nearly $4k to have Lasik was to eventually save money over the years by not needing contacts, solution or glasses.I had the procedure done late Friday afternoon, it was quick, relatively painless(just pressure) and easy. The following morning in no discomfort at all I drove myself to my follow up appointment and even with a slight haze on my eyes (from onitment applied) passed my eye exam with 20/15 +1 vision! Which is awesome because I had a hard time achieving 20/20 vision with contacts. As the weeks past I no longer have that halo effect while driving at night something I have struggled with since I started wearing corrective lens over 20yrs ago. Improving on night vision is also something that sets Dr. Labonoff aside from the others.Somethings worth noting all 3 of my consults I was told it was a perfect candidate for Lasik, my eyes have been stable for several years, Im done having children, my eye health and family history was good. I was -4.00 and -1.75 with astigmatism correction. I followed all pre and post op instructions to a tee.If you mentioned a referral from a friend you get a $100 discount and your friend get a $100 check. Dr. Lobonoff frequently runs a special on free designer sunglasses something I unfortunately did learn until after my surgery. I called about it and was told by schedule coordinate that I needed to mention it prior to surgery. :(Everything writen above here I wrote the weeks following lasik. I intentionally waited a year to post this so I could give a better opinion. So its been a year since having lasik. My vision is 20/20 in my right eye(dominant) and 20/40 in my left eye. Something Im still very happy with. I am a avid archery and have found since having lasik done my shooting especially at longer distances has improved greatly. I can also see much better in low light situations. I learned from my primary eye doctor that its very common to have perfect or better than perfect vision right after Lasik, its the weeks/months following the procedure that your eye heals which can in some cases lead to a little bit of regression. Which would explain why I had better than perfect 20/15 vision to 20/20 and 20/40 vision now a year later. I am still very happy with my decision and would highly recommend it. It feels so great to wake up in the morning and be able to see, no more reaching for glasses or dealing with contacts. I find my eyes are still a bit dry and I use eye lubrication at least 1x a day. I was told this could be due to my allergies not so much from the Lasik procedure.

I did not experience any pain, swelling, or irritation whatsoever.One of the only reasons I chose to have the PRK was my absolute trust and confidence in Dr. Lobanoff!My daughter, who was legally blind had been told from a young age that there may never be a surgery to correct her severe astigmatism and mishapen eyes. I had a the ICL procedure done in July. My experience was great. Staff are knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable. I did a lot of research and had a few consultations at a few different locations. I came back to North Suburban because I trust Dr. Lobanoff and feel he is the best in the business. He explains everything and makes sure you are 100% informed and comfortable. He cares about his patients and makes pricing reasonable. I just had lasik procedure to touch up my astigmatism which also went well. It was very fast and not as invasive as the ICL, so healing time is much faster. I had very bad vision from a young age. Two years after that corrective surgery I had the other eye treated with contoura Lasik by Doctor Lobanoff. Its only been a day, I had a slight astigmatism but still 20/20 vision in that eye. Since the injured eye exceeds 20/15 now I wanted the lensing effects removed from the other eye as well. A day later I can already tell an improvement in the lens, which is only going to improve from here. My injured eye continued to improve over the course of a year. Already the images in the two eyes are more consistent than before and I have less strain from focusing.Two years ago I did not have a good out look on what was going to happen after that eye injury, between the pain and poor vision I would have never imagined Id see better than before the center cornea injury. There is no other doctor to trust with your vision. I looked, I called, I shopped and asked all the questions. You can find cheaper, but you will not find better.

Dr. Lobanoff changed my whole life in a matter of about ten minutes when all was said and done post op. Will be recommending him to any and all people seeking corrective eye surgery.
