I was court ordered to do treatment here 9 years ago. I was a meth head. I went to new connections first where I was arrested for failing all of my U.As and sent to Lino juvenile detention where I stayed for two weeks. I was then sent to Anthony Louis Center in Blaine where I was set to do inpatient treatment for 30days minimum more or less depending on how my counselor seen fit. (All court ordered) when I went there for intake my grandparents were informed that it’s most likely I get sent to their long term facility (6-12 month program)For those that say this is a money scam, here’s how you’re wrong.I was discharged on day 27. I then did put patient with this program, completed that, then did their continued out patient program. Almost a year of treatment I did with this place and it saved my life.New connections (my first treatment) was closed down 6 months after I left. Their treatment plan was to shove their finger in my face and tell me not to do drugs. They were crabby and did not care about anything.Anthony Louis center may seem like kids just hang out but let me tell you what I learned from that...I learned how to keep myself busy and find things to do without the use of drugs.In counseling, Dave taught us about emotions and self awareness (this should be taught early on in schools as a preventative to so many problems we see arise in our youth)I was challenged and taught that anger is a secondary emotion that typically stems from sadness and hurt feelings. This has helped me figure out why I am angry and I’m now able to communicate why I’m upset and analyze myself and feelings to others so they understand me and so that I understand myself. These days we tell kids the door is always open if they want to talk but how can they talk when they don’t know what’s wrong? They are just angry and have never been given the tools to understand why. Not understanding your emotions can cause lashing out, anxiety, and depression. I learned all of this here. I have relationships now because of it.I wanted to run, during my first day there, they said if you want to run, run. Here’s the door. Just know you won’t get far, but you can try. It became a choice to be there at that point and it doesn’t matter how much money you spend, it has to be a choice, you have to work the program in order for it to truly work.I’m 26, 9 years sober, and have 3 beautiful babies thanks to this place! I was at my rock bottom when I got here and this place built me up and made me a better and more understanding person!Thank you!

The management is dedicated and caring and would do ANYTHING for these kids and this company. we all love what we do here and we care about these kids deeply

Coming from a parent of a child that went there...spend your money else where. Complelty disorganized. I had three people calling me about the same intake with different information. The facility itself is old and dull. The kids do not attend outside meetings or participate in any activities that help them get back out into the community. I never received any plan of care in the mail for my child. Another girl I know went to Recovery Plus and her parents recieved an updated care plan every week. There was no set up on their part for after care recovery, it was completely on us. My daughter attended keystone treatment center last summer and she loved that program and the professionalism they showed. They had a psychiatrist and psychologists on staff. Not the case with this place. She was clean for almost a year after leaving keystone. After leaving Anthony Louise there has been no follow through on her end. She described it like a juvenile detention center. Trust the reviews people don’t send your kid here.

A money scam where no real treatment happens. You sit and do nothing for 30-45 days. Only 1 in 15 kids complete the program and every single one Ive met has relapsed.

My major is addiction counselling and this house and the team of counselors they have is the reason I choose to pick this career path. 👍👍

Very unorganized in every aspect of this place. It took them nearly two months to send over my records and paperwork to the next treatment center I was attending.

Money scam. No real treatment takes place here.

They allow minors to walk right our the front door and do nothing about it.

Terrible program
