This dentist is awesome and his staff! SO to Dakota! She did a great job cleaning my teeth! They always do a great job and are polite and very clean! They make sure you’re comfortable and know everything that’s going on. I highly recommend Justin. I used to be TERRIFIED of the dentist because when I was little I had a bad dentist and he would pull teeth without numbing me. It means a lot for me to say I truly trust him and his staff to never let me feel that pain. They have done wonderful. I recommend him to all my friends and family.

I am a student at tech and was recommended to come to this dentist office if I have any issues here. I was having a teeth sensitivity issue and got it fixed and cleared up right away, and event better in a fast paced manor, which was awesome! I highly recommend coming here for all of your teeth needs.

This office is the best dental experience I have had. From his office staff, to hygienists, to assistants: they are all friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Dr. Tebbenkamp has skillfully done multiple procedures on my teeth including fillings, crowns, and a complex dental implant. And only things I definitely needed. High recommendation, from someone who isnt a fan of the dental chair.

I really enjoy this office. Most importantly the hygienists and Dr. Tebbenkamp are super nice and welcoming. They always make me feel comfortable. Secondly, the overall decor is just really cool. Instead of going for a hyper modern look as you get in a lot of medical offices, this office is decorated with all sorts of cool vintage dentistry relics. I still go to this office even though I currently live 35 minutes away in Salem.

If youre looking for a dentist in the Blacksburg area, you can stop looking now. Dr. Tebbenkamp and his team are absolutely amazing. Their office is nicely decorated, easy to find, and it is always so clean. The front desk staff are beyond kind and I never find myself waiting more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Once youre taken back you are treated with the same hospitality by the hygienists. They always go out of their way to ensure I have a pleasant experience. Dr. Tebbenkamp is very nice, professional, and very friendly. I would highly recommend this practice any day!

I am a patient of Dr. Tebbenkamps and had an issue with one of my 2 implants this morning and called his office to schedule an appointment. I appreciated that they could squeeze me in the same day. He gave me an excellent and thorough evaluation but what was also appreciated is the administrative assistance I was given to schedule an appointment with a periodontist. I have rarely been places where they will go to great lengths to make sure they schedule your appointment on the spot. I highly recommend this dentist for the first class care but also your situation is guaranteed to be treated with great attention to detail and professionalism!

I was seeing a dentist in Blacksburg when we moved into town and did not feel comfortable with him. I am not sure he was doing what was in my best interest but instead trying to make an extra dollar. I asked around and many suggested Dr. Tebbenkamp. I have not been disappointed. I spoke to a friend of mine whos father is a dentist and when I told him who I was seeing, he raved about him. His facility is very clean and feels like home (since it probably was someones home previously!!:)). His staff is helpful and friendly. He does not push anything on me but is thorough and honest. I finally talked my husband into changing and he was also very pleased. My kids are moving over also. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Tebbenkamp’s office is great all around. The most amazing women work the front desk and are helpful with breaking down dental costs and understanding your insurance. The experience in the chair was great as well, I was not tense or uncomfortable at any point during my teeth cleaning and it didn’t take all morning which I appreciate! Definitely would recommend

This place is fantastic! The office is very warm and inviting and it’s wonderful how they embrace the local history of the home in which the practice is situated. Loved the way the hygienist (Dakota, I think?), was so kind and explained everything she was doing. Dr. Tebbenkamp was very upbeat, reassuring, and spoke to me directly, unlike my old dental practice where the dentist would be in and out in 5 seconds and barely acknowledge my presence. My previous dentist told me I needed a root canal and crown, which felt odd to me given my lack of symptoms. Dr. T assured me that we could start with a crown first…no need to go straight to a root canal. I appreciate that conservative approach!

This is my favorite dentist office Ive ever used. The staff are friendly and helpful. I love the atmosphere. They are good at explaining and answering questions. I never feel belittled for not taking perfect care of my teeth. They do explain why I should be doing something. When getting a filling they make sure they are is numb first.

Needed a new dentist in Blacksburg and decided to give Dr. Tebbenkamp a try. Very impressed by the office and staff. The hygienist I saw for cleaning, Dakota, was very welcoming, detailed, and thorough. Relieved to have found such a wonderful location! Will definitely be returning.

I chipped my front right tooth on a Sunday morning and Monday morning call Dr. Tebenkamp’s office at 8 am and explained what happened. He saw me at 9.30 am the same day, explained the process, and spent over an hour sculpting the filling. My tooth looks great and you would never know I had a filling. Everyone in the office was kind, patient, and professional.

I was very pleased with the office! All of the staff is very accommodating and makes you feel comfortable. I barely had any wait time. The feel of the office is inviting. I struggled to find a dentist in the area that I liked/trusted and was glad to be recommended to Dr. Tebbenkamp.

We have always been very pleased with service and treatment from Dr. Tebbenkamp and his wonderful staff. They are efficient with appointments and run on schedule (little to no wait times). Just returned from taking our special needs son to see Dr. Cat at Dr Tebbenkamps office. He needed an old cap replaced and she was so wonderful. I was apprehensive, but she was patient and just goofy enough to make him laugh and relax. When I shared with her ways we had found that work well to calm him, she listened to me, then listened to him and his behavior. Everything went smoothly and he now has a new secure cap. They even changed their normal routine a bit to accommodate him and make him more comfortable. I was very impressed, and will feel even more confident visiting their office in the future. Everyone from Lisa at the front desk to Neeley his hygienist to Dr Tebbenkamp have been kind and friendly. This is a good place.

New to Virginia. Tooth got an infection ( of course) saw me the next day for short exam and X-ray. Took great care to show me the problem. Not thrilled that I might have a cracked root, but from first contact to office visit, this team scored a perfect 10!

Super fast and easy service! I was slightly worried as this has been my first time to the dentist since pre-COVID-19 and had gone to a children’s dentist. They’d told me back then that I’d have cavities and I couldn’t get them fixed before the pandemic. But Dr. Tebbenkamp assessed it in a manner that showed it wasn’t in fact cavities quite yet and helped me work on preventative measures. I look forward to returning in 6 months!

After a bad dental experience a number of years ago, I had neglected to go at all. After a bad toothache left me with no choice but to seek out dental care, I was ever so pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. An emergency appointment not only got me in within a few hours of calling, but they managed to examine, x-ray, AND pull the problem tooth. What’s better still is that i never felt as though they were rushing anything. I was very apprehensive about dental work in general, and they took the time to make sure I was comfortable, and get the job done painlessly. Seriously- it was completely painless, aside from some very minor soreness that evening. I will be going back for regular maintenance again, now that I’ve found this office!

I’ve been going to Dr. Tebbenkamp for a few years now. He’s a great guy and does fantastic work. I started off missing a front tooth and now you can’t even tell. I couldn’t be happier with his work! Dr. T’s staff are fantastic and are always smiling and happy. They all work together to create a supportive environment that calms any nerves a patient may have. I always leave his office with a nicer smile on my face.

This is the best dental office I’ve ever been to. I have told everyone I know about it. I’m obsessed! My husband went the day before me and came back feeling great and said everyone there was so nice! I couldn’t wait for my appointment! I went and he was right, literally everyone was so nice! I am pregnant and was a little worried to go, but they are sooo sanitary and take extra precautions to make everyone feel welcomed and safe. 10/10!

Im usually really anxious about going to the dentist. They have a dental associate who is absolutely wonderful! She reassures me and tells me exactly what she will do and when she will do it. She is always asking if I need a break or if I am okay. I love having her clean my teeth.

Let me start off with...I am always a little apprehensive to go to the dentist because I know what its like to have a bad experience with one (not this one). So first off, they didnt make me feel bad for avoiding going for awhile. However, they made me so comfortable that had I need to go back the next day I would have with no hesitation or anxiety. I ended up needing a little work done, and I was nervous. But - They were SO gentle I did not even feel the novocain when they administered it. The DDS talked me through the hard parts and gave me tricks to put my mind at ease..but it wasnt even necessary as I never even felt it! I would recommend them every time!
