J&M Mental Health is the greatest place to work! Not only are the employees performing what they are most passionate about, but they are supported in the most wonderful ways by all employees! The supervision is bar-none! Any new circumstance in the field that is brought up in supervision is met without judgment, kind and listening ears, and teaching values as the employees’ progress throughout their endeavors.J&M truly takes pride in their integrity and performance. Each worker is given opportunities to flourish and thrive in their educated profession. I would never choose to work anywhere else!

***HEALTH AWARENESS*** The staff and clients were personable and nice to work with. However, I am giving this company a 1 star from a previous Peer Support employee view. Due to the negligent and and lack of assistance regarding an on the job injury. During a home visit with a client, I was bitten several times by bed bugs, as a result I had a severe skin reaction to the bites and had to seek medical attention at the emergency room three times because the bed bugs came home with me and consistently bit me for over three weeks now with each day getting worse than the day before!!! Not knowing what to do about the endless situation, the ultimate recommendation made by the ER doctors and that from discussion at J&M staff meeting , the only resolution was to get a professional exterminator to remediate the problem. After careful thought and not being able to work due to my condition and being that this was a work related incident. I thought J&M would be willing to take care of the problem. Instead, when I asked J&M to assist me, the response I got was, Blake decided to let you go. I was shocked and disheartened to say the least at this response. Giving me a whole different view of how genuine the words really are of owner Blake Kinney, after he repeatedly spoke to me vehemently expressing care, concern, the well being of others, self care and of giving hope to people. This obviously wasnt the case for me for reasons unbeknownst to me. Upon hire Blake (the owner) was well aware both current and past medical conditions including being a recent cancer survivor and a single parent with children in my home. Not only was my health jeopardized, but the health of my family and others that may come in contact with the insects in my home, this unforunate incident had far more reach beyond just me and he didnt care to help in any way. It is my firm belief and experience that his sincerity for his employees is questionable at least for me, his words were just that words of employer whose main concern was about performance and making money bottom line, rather than accepting responsibility for the injury caused to me as an employee in the workplace. In my case time off from work was just not enough! My advice for current and future employees would be to make certain to have a clear understanding of what policy and procedures are soundly in place for on the job injury as it relates to communicable disease and or bodily, personal and mental injury, to which obviously in my case there was none. After this incident with me there was some discussion about clients disclosing any and all illness prior to services. I can only pray that this has been implemented immediately along with other critical safeguards to protect the employees in the work field, particularly when entering peoples homes without prior inspection or knowledge of the working environment. Although I reported the incident immediately with written communication several times thereafter up to and including staff meetings where other employees were made aware, nothing was done to help me, except termination of my employment. Now I am left with the daily trauma of mental anguish and pain of the infestation of my body and home. The absolute worst part of all of this is to be left alone without a paid income trying to come up with any resources to help me pay for the absolute necessity to have my home professionally exterminated at a minimum cost of $1,500 . I dont know how bad or how long this is going to affect me until I can somehow find a way to pay to get rid of these insects that I acquired at work.
