Dr. Bilstrom and his PA have helped me so much. I went from laying on the floor tired and sick with my kids crawling all over me to actually having the energy to play with them and be a mom that functions. It’s a tough road having to change diet doing a lot of supplements and meds but it is 100% worth it.

Dr Bilstrom is a good enough doctor, I think. Suggested a bunch of stuff to my husband & took a bunch of tests. $3000 later (ok, so it would have been nice to know that those tests were going to be so crazy expensive!), his prescriptions and plans have not helped him, but I dont really blame the Dr. Were playing a guessing game with his health and we know it. My problem is that the front desk people are rude, if you can even get ahold of them, & their communication is awful. Went in for an appointment today only to be told it has been moved to February without any notice given. We dont have the time or energy for that, but we have had several unpleasant experience with this office like that. Theyre such a headache to deal with that I just couldnt recommend them to anyone else.

I started w dr Bilstrom one year ago. In that year I have been instructed to change my diet and take many supplements based upon my very comprehensive blood test and other tests that showed how sick I was. I have gone from laying in bed not able to get up. Today I’m having a break through of pain and swelling, but because of learning what is making me sick, I know better what I need to do.

This doctor is nice but his office has not answered any of my phone calls in the last year. Ever. Not even to say hello and put me on hold. I am starting to wonder if they are even still open? Do they not have a receptionist or are they so bombarded with sick auto immune people that they cant even sit at a desk and answer a phone?? It blows my mind. Probably need more doctors like him brought to the area some how so this doesnt happen!

Dr. Bilstrom has improved my quality of life. He has done more for me in a few months than any of the doctors I have seen over the last 10 years. He truly cares about helping his patients.

I’ve been dealing with autoimmune disease-related illness for 15 years. My previous doctors were incurious and wanted me to simply take a pill to counter symptoms without actually addressing the root causes of my illness. I kept getting progressively worse each year and grew very frustrated. I went to see Dr. Bilstrom earlier this year and realized quickly he was a different breed of doctor - extremely inquisitive, very knowledgeable on autoimmune disease issues and a great listener. I did a comprehensive 31-page intake questionnaire and he ran a series of tests to rule out any and all issues, including food allergens. He took a very scientific approach to my diagnosis and didn’t take anything for granted. When the test results came back, they revealed I’ve been dealing with a chronic viral infection for years that my previous doctors missed. He put me on a simple regimen (without antibiotics) to address the viral infection and today I feel like a new person. I haven’t felt this good since high school. Dr. Bilstrom has given me my quality of life back.

Looking at other reviews, I realize patients are having the same issue. I really enjoyed Bilstrom and his thoroughness. The fact that the visit is 90 minutes long shows me he truly cares to pinpoint the reason for your visit. My reason for a low rating is due to the front staff. I had an appointment with Bilstrom and following would later be an appointment with Mrs. Dr. Bilstrom. However they cancelled that appointment without communicating that to me. They proceeded to tell me I never had an appointment with Jodi, but I had a voicemail to prove otherwise. I was disappointed because I took the day off, using vacation time and traveled from Idaho Falls. I understand its a busy atmosphere, but a quick phone call would have been helpful. The lady who made the phone calls was very non-personal, interrupted me constantly, and wouldnt let me finish things I had to say. I cancelled my most recent appointment, not due to Bilstrom, but due to the front staff. I didnt want to write this, but others encouraged me it would be good for the community to know as well.

Today was our first visit, Dr Bilstrom spent 2hours with ya and knew everything I wrote on my intake application, and it was very detailed. It’s like he knew me before we even started.I Loved the staff! They were absolutely amazing!Everyone was amazing at my visit!Update! .Been seeing Dr Bilstrom for over 3 years now, every 3 months. Ive never had any issues like any of these bad reviews that have been put on here. I find it sad that 1 appointment communication issue would caresse someone to put such a low review. He literally trys to see as many people as he can cause he truly wants to heal everyone he can. If you dont have your packet done before your appointment you will be pushed out to the next available date(which is normally 3 months out)People come from all over the world to see Dr Bilstrom. Not fit his staff, but because they have spent thousands of dollars with other Drs

I think the doctor bilstrom is a very nice doctor. Hes kind and takes his time when he works with you. I also think hes very thorough. He was able to discover several of the reasons why I was having some of the symptoms I was having. That said the reason I am giving such a low rating is because of the front desk and his receptionist. It is very difficult to get a follow-up appointment. Sometimes is office called to cancel appointments because he is going to conferences or trainings. It would then take at least two months to make a follow-up appointment. If I get sick and have to cancel it will take 3 months to make a follow-up appointment. Trying to get medication refilled can take sometimes up to 2 weeks.I tried to get copies of my medical records and that was a logistical nightmare; taking almost a month. The receptionist cannot problem-solve, I have found them snarky, disrespectful, and rude. It is for those reasons that I have transferred from dr. Bilstroms office and no longer wish to continue with his practice.Receptionist are the first people you meet in a practice and they represent the doctor. Sad but true. While Bilstrom is a very kind person and I believe very capable, I dont want to continue with his practice because of his front desk people.

I am very frustrated with Dr Bilstroms office. I cannot get them to answer any phone call, despite the time of the day, nor will they return my calls.Very disappointing!
