I had an heart attack on the road whilst visiting North Dakota. I had to be flown into Bismarck and rushed to Sanford. Let me tell you, the staff here are amazing. from start to finish they took such good care of me.One person said it was because they were North Dakotans and thats who they are! If thats it then they need to open a training center for other states hospitals. If you gotta have an heart attack...have it here.

I am appalled due to the fact of the staff in Sanford Hospital taking 4 hours and 45 minutes to get my husband into surgery. The lack of communication 😒 over there is ridiculous! 6 hours later finally we got to leave, unreal!

Absolutely disgusted with the force being out on nurses right now to get the vaccine . Our family will find a different healthcare provider if this type of behavior continues.

I have a friend who was voluntary admitted to the psychiatric ward three times for suicidal ideation. There was a nurse there who told him that We dont want you here if you dont need it. She then asked my friend if he knew what it was like to be suicidal. Why else would he have come there? My friend has been traumatized by this experience and will never again patronize Sanford , and neither will I. Congratulations Sanford!

Seriously the worst experience with a hospital I have ever had. I had a family member in the hospital for a few weeks and had nothing but bad experiences. It first started in the ER when my family member was injured IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM and no one reported it to us. Another family member reported it to the patient advocates at the hospital and they basically shrugged it off saying it happens and there is no proof their staff did anything wrong even though they had cameras in that room. They claimed they didnt have the cameras on so there was nothing they could do. Why have cameras in a room if theyre not on? He was then admitted to the hospital (for something other than what happened in the ER) and every time we went to visit, the nursing staff was nothing but rude to us. Every interaction I had with them they acted like me asking questions was a total inconvenience to them. One time I went to the nurse station and asked where I could find a straw for my family member that was admitted, and the entire staff (at least 8-10 nurses) all just sat and stared at me with disgust like I had the plague. Being dumbfounded by the lack of help or friendliness I was just like ummm...straw? and then one of the nurses just pointed and said around the corner. I said thank you and no one said a peep. Every time I visited, a nurse never came in for updates, we had to track them down. They knew we were there, they looked at us every time they walked by but heaven forbid we get updates. One of our visits was 2 hours long and a nurse didnt come in once until we asked. Shouldnt patients be checked on more often than that? Needless to say, I was beyond relieved when my family member was discharged. Its worth the drive to go to a better hospital.

Would give 0 stars if i could. Theyre ER is awful, once my aunt was in the ER for 15 hours even though we were told the night before she was to be admitted to the hospital, the next we called to check on her and she was still there. The nurses excuse was that all the beds upstairs were full. That is absolute bullspit because that would mean there was no point in admittimg her to the hospital, they shouldve let her come home in the first place

If you like paying to be abused used and misdiagnosed this hospital is perfect for you Took them 8 Years to take me seriously because I have mental illness by the time I did I’m crippled up and can’t walk these doctors ran bloodwork every time I went in just so they could charge my insurance the same blood work for years While I slowly deteriorated now I’m completely disabled Just recently diagnosed with a secondary condition no primary yet just a secondary condition proving there’s a primary eight years of suffering in hell because of them

Not sure if this is only happening to me, or if Sanfords accounting department is just that bad. Ive only ever received Final Collection Notices for services, and sometimes Ill get sent to collections before that. Nothing negative to say about the rest of the staff but it really sucks when collection agencies call about bills that I never received, or receive after getting sent to collections.

I like this place. Service to others brings peace and prosperity, and the first provider in this area to offer and maintain it will enjoy obscene profits. The world is flat now, and I live on reviews and my own experience. Adds and promotions mean nothing to me, and my generation is quickly learning to despise indifference and efficiency that come at a human cost. Competition is a beautiful thing in healthcare and we want more. So compete well and continue offering the best for your patients and employees, or you will be left behind also.

Im biased because I work here, but Sanford Health is an excellent facility. We have top notch staff, particularly the nurses, with a newly announced re-appointment as a nursing Magnet facility - an honor bestowed by the ANCC for hospitals that care well for their nurses and the nurses play a major role in the safety and quality initiatives, which are both huge focus points for this organization. Ive brought my own family here for medical care and will continue to do so well into the future.

Thanks for hanging up on me when I was just asking for my keys Nurse Ali or Eli. Also thanks for treating every patient with a certain sickness as if they are junkies. Not everyone in your city does drugs there is a such thing called medical issues. Lighten up and learn how to treat your patients with respect not like addicts just there for pills. Fire and rehire majority of ER staff they all suck except maybe a hand full.

I took my elderly relative to the ER. She was admitted to the hospital that evening, but we were told there were no available rooms. So she had to sleep in the ER treatment room on what was more of a camping mattress than an actual bed. The ER nurse knew my relative needed a walker but rather than finding one, she stated stated there probably wouldnt be one available because the hospital was full. She made my elderly relative walk to the restroom down the hallway. My relative spent 18 hours in the ER until a hospital room became available. The nurses and CNAs on 4SE were exceptional. Each was patient and respectful in how they treated my relative. The transportation team members, the therapists, and the phlebotomists were all pleasant and helpful. If I gave this group a separate review, it would be five stars.Due to poor planning and coordination by the social worker, my relative will be staying in the hospital three nights longer than necessary. The social worker did not provide us with the information necessary to secure at-home skilled care in time for the proposed discharge. The need for at-home care was discussed at least two days prior to what should have been the discharge date. The lack of planning and communication by the social worker is adding to what my relative, Medicare, and the insurance company will be charged. It is that type of incompetence that drives up the cost of healthcare and insurance.

This hospital USED to be a good one but something definitely has changed, because you so called TOP RATED facility ISNT EVEN CLOSE, who rated you? Yourselves, Your family? Becoming a doctor or nurse isnt there an oath your asked to take? Being in a helping position? Well maybe your staff should take another look at it or even the definition of a Dr. or Nurse, shame on you people. And for anyone else out there who is sitting there reading this getting upset save it theres nothing you can say good or bad that will ever change my opinion n just for a minute think of it like this before you want to get a huffy puffy over my opinion. What if it was your family member? What if it was you? They turned away, they treated ugly, they acted disrespectful towards you, so u leave and go to another facility n within 25 minutes your IN SURGERY because you did need help because you were in pain coulda lost your life and why? WHY? Because what the nurse or Dr was having a bad day? or because of different views in recent events? Or because they found out they really didnt want to become a public helper because they have to help all different races? So after you can put yourself in my shoes with that point and still feel a need to think you got something to say by all means you go for it, but your wasting your time and there isnt even a point or view that would make this OK. So to the staff of this place hope that never happens to you, your child, parent, sibling, grandchild, the actions you did to my family. Yea I hope you or your family doesnt have to experience the ugliness your facility showed my family but then again I have no control of karma.

I have been here at Sanford Health Hospital on bedrest since April 3rd 2015. After being rushed here with placenta previa, an accreta and a missive bleed bc of this.Lets talk about all the things that have gone wrong since I have been here:I have already been moved into another room bc the room I was in was cursed-toilet broke and wouldnt flush-light over my bed at 1am one night wouldnt shut off and they just ended up taking the bulb out-my bed broke and had to get another oneThen they put this pick line in me for no reason bc they havent used the dam thing since I was tortured by having it placed in... oh did I forget to tell you that the person that put it in didnt do it right so it was touching my heart and making my heart flutter so they had to pull it out a little bit.I had a horrible ultrasound a couple weeks again to the point where this lady made me cry.My doctor and I have been on the same page since day 1 that I shouldnt leave the hospital bc I have so many things going against me and to deliver my baby at 34 weeks. This morning I have the on call weekend doctor come in and tell me she plans on discharging me bc Im not a high risk anymore since it has been 20 days since I bleed last. (I know for a fact they are running out of beds so instead of keeping me here where I should be they would rather have me at the Ronald McDonald House a couple blocks away but not healthy enough to go home.)Oh and since the weekend doctor believes I should have been released weeks ago I cant hardly walk to save my life right now bc my hips hurt so bad from being on bedrest... Im so pissed right now and if I didnt have a great doctor (That is now on vacation) or some good nurses I would have asked to be moved to the other hospital that is over a couple hours away from my home.
