Absolutely the worst physician Ive ever had to see. He made assumptions after seeing me one time. Then totally discounted everything else dealing with my care. He was given name, number and list of my prescriptions and still made accusations that were unwarranted and unfounded. He saw me ONE time. Hardly enough to make any type of sound judgement. He does not listen to you. He seems to think he can never be wrong. I waited to find a new doctor because I needed to stick with one after years of not having a physician. My huge mistake. Second time seeing him was worse than the first. He pushed on my sternum that is visibly poking out, which causes pain that feels like a heart attack for weeks on end. He poked until I cried and then had the audacity to ask what my tears were for. I left in more pain than when Id come in. I have barely slept and cant do simple things without severe pain and to be totally disrespected and discounted didnt help anything. DO NOT SEE HIM IF YOU WANT HELP. I said a few choice things to him after his last opportunity to disrespect me as a patient and human being. He is awful. And dont expect any help from administration about him. I hope and pray I find a good physician outside of UAB. Ive had more bad than good from them.

Wonderful physician and has helped me more than any other Dr I’ve ever worked with! He really cares and he is a busy Dr but never makes you feel he is rushed for time.

If it were not for Dr. Stafford, I would no longer be at UAB. After the first 8 months of care in his absence in 2016, l would be dead now. He takes the approach of physical, mind, body, and spirit. He also knows our family and therefore the family dynamics. He is a special and unique doctor.
