Most expensive glasses in town! Buyer beware. This is a very nice place, I like the doctors and the staff and they have the latest and greatest equipment. However, if you think about buying any glasses here you better get everything in writing. I got a pair of progressive bifocals that I was told were 600+ dollars because of designer frames. When I got the bill, the total was almost 1000 dollars! Not having anything in writing, I’m stuck. I don’t expect them to have prices like Costco or the discount places but 3-4 times as much is ridiculous. I won’t go back

My husband and I love this place. The support staff are wonderfully friendly. We have never been pressured into anything. The doctors are vey knowledgeable and do their best to work with patients. I have never had a bad experience.

I needed after hours help with an eye problem and being from out of town they were more than willing to help me out. They met me at the office looked at my eye and referred me to an eye surgeon and got me on some antibiotics. They were very helpful with what they could do. Excellent people great optometrists.

I had a really great experience at Bauer & Clausen. I have been to several different optometrists over the years and this place is by far the best. Everything is streamlined to perfection and everyone was very nice. I saw Dr. Dooper and he was very knowledgeable. I like how he the took time to answer all my questions and fully explain everything. I would definitely recommend friends and family to come here.

Bauer & Clausen Optometry are in a class of their own. From the tour of the facility and explanation of everything Morgan done a terrific job, and Lauren was also very awesome making me feel at ease and explained everything to me as well. Matt is a very good optometrist he is my new eye Dr. And Tabitha explained everything at checkout and was a big help. GREAT PLACE GREAT PEOPLE!!!!!

We were recently traveling across the country when I accidentally broke my glasses. They were able to see me immediately and fix my glasses. They were polite and courteous and gave me a new case for my glasses. They also did not charge me! Thank you so much!

I have gone to Bauer and Clausen for years and would go nowhere else. From the minute you walk in the door they make you feel welcome. They answer all your questions and are super helpful. They have a great selection of glasses that are of high quality. You can come in anytime to have adjustments made as well. All of the Doctors there are fantastic and personable.

I really enjoy working with Dr. Clauson during my eye exam. She is easy to talk, very personable, and gives a through eye examine. My only issue was during the checking in and the pre examine. Although it was time efficient, it was very scripted, impersonal, and left me feeling uneasy. It felt way more corporate than a family friendly environment they had a several years ago.

Bauer & Clausen is the best example of a well run business that I have ever seen. Everyone is professional, courteous, gracious and friendly. The staff is so well trained. I have been seeing Dr Clausen for years. She is not only my eye Dr., she has become a friend. If every business would follow their work model, the world would be a better place! The eye doctors are top notch and the gals at the front desk are so nice. I go there for that reason. However, I do get my prescription and head to another place for frames and lenses. The choice at Baur & Clausen is small and way way to expensive. But the docs are the best in the city.

He was patient and took his time/ I did not feel rushed.I have always considered LASIK but was always told that it probably wasn’t worth it since my eyes aren’t that bad. Dr. Dooper informed me that I could have the procedure done/ no longer have to wear contacts. I’m definitely considering it since the price of yearly contacts/ hassle is in the Long run is more expensive.Aside from the great news aboutLASIK, I’ve been wearing the same daily brand of contacts (apparently the most expensive) for many years now and have never been given the choice of other daily less expensive options.I wouldn’t have even thought to ask but Dr. Dooper suggested I give the cheaper ones a try and see if I could save some money! Makes me have faith in their services. I would highly recommend Dr. Dooper to friends/ family!

After a less than ideal experience with a different eye doctor in town, I was thankful for the warm and attentive care the entire team showed me from start to finish. They fit me in very last minute and made sure all of my needs were met and questions answered. This is hands down the BEST optometry office I have ever been to. Every single person was so nice and professional. They made my experience there so enjoyable. I was early for my appointment but one of the women who checked me in said that the staff has just gone out for lunch. The waiting area was comfortable. Soon I was called in & the pre-tests were done, with explanations about what they were checking out.I was taken in to Dr. Clausen’s office & she came in soon. We talked briefly & I told her my concerns & she did all the tests & exams. She assured me there were no signs of macular degeneration (which is prevalent in my maternal family). She said the changes were minimal & she thought I could continue to wear the glasses I got last year after my exams.Before I left another woman adjusted my glasses & told me to come in any time to get my glasses readjusted.The office is beautiful, the staff is polite & explains everything. I really like Dr. Clausen whom I’ve seen for many years. It’s a top notch place.

My vision is horrible so I wore glasses all the time. It was getting really old. I hate touching my own eyes, so I never wore contacts. When I made an appointment, they were very polite over the phone and asked MY concerns before making an appointment. When I arrived at the facility, the first thing I noticed was how immaculate the building is. Second, was the staff and how welcoming everyone was. The exam went well and the optometrist was just as friendly and caring as the rest of the staff. They really helped me with the contacts and had a staff member assist me in putting them in and taking them out multiple times to get me use to wearing them. Will be going back for all my eye appointments.
