If I could give Dr Rao 10 stars, I would. Ive been seeing him for over 15 years. First for knee pain. Injections postponed knee replacement for many years and my knee replacement was text book perfect. Then, it was a removal of a bone spur. Also text book perfect recovery. Now, its hip pain. What I truly respect about him is that he cares about the whole body. He isnt just focused on the pain youre having that day. He always asks how my diabetes is going. Most surgeons/specialists have the personality of a toad but, he is a remarkable human being aside from being an excellent surgeon. .

Came in to see Dr. Rao because of arthritis in my hands. X-rays were taken and then he came in and talked to me. Explaining my options. I really understood my options and made a informed decision. I would highly recommend him.

The Doctor and Staff at this office are professional, caring and helpful. I have always received great care here and would recommend Dr. Rao to anyone seeking an orthopedic surgeon.

Horrible treatment and bedside manner. Dr. decided before he casted my daughters foot he needed a CT scan and so the nurse had already taken off her splint from the ER and threw it in the garbage and rather than put a new splint on Dr had them dig it out of the GARBAGE and put it on her. Today we get a call 6 days after the break that she cant get the CT for another week so it will be another week before he can see her again to set it or do surgery. Who does this kind of Healthcare????? All I can say is please dont put yourself through trying to see this guy.

Dr. Rao is a super doctor. I would go to no one else. Pre-surgery, surgery, and post- surgery all very well done.

The process of fixing my arm was straight forward and quick. While I hope not to see Dr Rao in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back If needed.

A little over 15 years ago Dr. Rao ended up smoothing the cartilage in my knee. He warned me about my weight at the time but I havent had any problems since. I will be going back if I have any new problems in the future.He is a very intelligent person devoted to what he does. I think people mistake his approach as rude or mean when hes being truthful and direct. He does not sugar coat things.

Office girls are great. However I went and seen dr. Rao for my knee. He looked at x-rays from over a yr. ago. He said he could only help my knee by scoping it. So I went to another doctor after I couldn’t handle the pain anymore and she took x-ray and my screws aren’t in the right places and I might have more damage. My point to this is if he did recent x-rays he would of seen that. I wouldn’t recommend this office!

Dr. Rao is an excellent physician. Even though hes extremely busy with practices in Big Rapids, Cadillac and a surgery schedule, he took the time to listen to concerns and answer every question I had. Im very happy with the care Ive received here. The nurses and office girls do a great job, too!🤗

ARGH. My Ferris state freshman was injured and contacted them for an appointment. They DID NOT tell her that the Big Rapids # that she had called was re-routed to Cadillac. My child spoke to the office TWICE and was never alerted to the fact that she was speaking to an office an hour NORTH!!!The woman I spoke with in Cadillac was completely incompetent and took no responsibility for this debacle. She assured me that she verified that she let my daughter know that the appointment was in Cadillac. The child is not an idiot. She would have taken note of this. So believing that she had made an appointment in Big Rapids, she limped herself to a cab and when she got there IN PAIN was told that her appointment was in Cadillac. I googled the company again and sure enough, the Big Rapids info popped up. I dialed the number and when I asked their locale, they verified that they were in Cadillac.The Big Rapids gal sent her to room #311 across the street in Spectrum Health. She was told that there were other doctors there who would x ray her. She walked into the room and found a sick person on a bed. She then rereated and is now attempting to find help. What kind of podunk gallery are you people running? Im driving up there and taking her to Grand Rapids where people are not idiots. What a debacle. Get your ducks in a row. Youre here to serve the public.
