Excellent day at the lake. Picnic tables, grills, a beach with a volleyball net. The Water by the beach is clean and Sandy. There are tiny little fish if you want to play with the fish. My kids had a wonderful time well definitely go again.

This place has always been my local go-to swimming hole for years....since childhood into bringing my own children and now my granddaughter. We even camped for my sons birthday. So many fantastic memories. A great clean beach, close parking and the water is never cold!!! Its a few bucks to get access for the day and 100% worth it. Camping is available too, Ive done that a few times throughout the years and it was always a great stay!

Decently priced. $1 per person or $5 a carload. Awesome Sandy Beach with enough room for many people. Can rent a paddle boat if wanted. Beach is very clean. Peaceful.

Our favorite swimming spot! Only $1 per person entrance fee. Nice little sandy beach, grassy shaded picnic area with picnic tables and grills. Beach volleyball and fishing. You can also rent paddle boats by the hour for pretty cheap. A great place for a day trip. There are no pets allowed and only outhouses for bathrooms. I have camped here also but prefer campgrounds with showers and toilets, and access to ice and other last minute camping needs. There is no store nearby so if you forget something plan on driving to Paris or Big Rapids.

Nice sandy beach for the toddlers. Shallow water for a bit, very nice surrounding. 13 year old fished while the littlest swam. They all had a great time. 5$ carload entry fee.

This is a gem of a spot for a day trip to the lake. Its nestled just outside of big rapids with a clean beach, inviting water, shade near the beach and modest rates. My family enjoyed their day!

Youngs Lake Campground is a quiet, family oriented, quaint and well maintained piece of heaven located in Mecosta County, Michigan! It is owned and operated by Jim and Diane Grunst! There are not only many camping sites, but there are fully furnished cabins! We have been going there, for the past 6 years. For the past 3 years, our family has been going seasonally. There are many great things about this campground. It has a beautifully, maintained, sandy, beach, with a large swimming area! Places set aside for grilling and having a group picnic, large volleyball ball area, basketball area, and horse shoes area. The lake is great for fishing, tubing and waterskiing. Fishing from shore has produced some large bass, bluegill, and an occasional crape. Our family, parents, and extended families would have to say, that this is the best maintained and family oriented campground that we have been to in the past 20 years!
