Best yoga studio I have ever been to. The instructor, Peter, was awesome! You will get your butt kicked and loosen stiff joints and muscles and feel great. He makes it fun and interesting with music he plays. I feel as if Ive just discovered the Best kept secret in town. The studio itself if really cool. Downstairs, stone walls and wooden floors. cozy and beautiful place with beautiful vibes!! Also, very welcoming and non-competitive atmosphere. Good for me because I can be intimidated by some yoga places. Not this one. This one is wonderful.

First experience taking hot yoga and enjoyed it! As a complete novice Peter took the time to greet us before class started and help get us set us and oriented. Guided and assisted us through the more challenging poses. While you can tell everyone else in the class were experienced, we felt right at home. The music playlist wasnt what you would expect during a yoga class and sometimes was distracting but at other points energizing.

My first experience with hot yoga was with Peter. I really enjoyed his class even though I can barely make through the entire class. Because of distance, I started taking classes closer to me. But I always knew that I would revisit Peters classes to recharge my mind and soul.My favorite part of his classes is how he incorporates the music. Its not just typical flutes and wind and water, but tribal, hip hop, contemporary, and flutes, wind, and water! His studio is all hardwood floor so there is no carpet smell or any type at all. The temperature is hot enough so you are comfortable and not sweating by just standing up. Another thing is that he tells you what the modified posture can be whether it is the easier version or the more advanced. I particularly like that because I can set my goals to where I can be. I think giving his class a shot is the only way to experience the energy in his class. The only thing I can see that may not be up to peoples standards is the facility. Its not a 4 star hotel but its clean. That would definitely be a turnoff enough for me not to return but its manageable and still looking forward to the next class. Namaste.

Healing … not just Surviving … Breast CancerBefore Hot Core Yoga: I had significant pain & constriction in the site of my TRAM flap and mastectomy for breast cancer. I had accepted the medical recommendation to acknowledge my physical limitations and learn modifications such as from lying on my back, turning onto my side and pushing myself up to a sitting then standing position. As a result of years of tamoxifen, my joints were stiff and hands arthritic. I had a weak, overused, stressed-out lower back with no core muscles. I knew no yoga poses, proper alignment, or breathing for yoga practice.1st days: When I began HotCore Yoga, I’d listen to Peter give instructions for poses I thought I could never do. When Peter would say use your core muscles, I would literally fall over. When doing cobra, camel or reclining hero’s pose, fear overtook my mind that I would damage myself and pull the sites of my stiches to a level of more dysfunction.6 Weeks into HotCore Yoga: I have redefined my yoga goal from stretching to healing. I feel relief in the scar tissue across my abdomen. So now I’m able to approximate poses that require hip opening and stretching the abdominal area. Although my scars remain my daily reminder, I have regained abilities I thought I’d never see again. Yoga is opening my mind to possibilities. Now I can use my hands during the day for longer periods of time without pain (even in cold weather).I still deal with some fear as we do the reclining hero’s pose. It is not fear of doing the pose; it is actually fear that I can’t figure out a way to come out of the pose. I am standing straighter and stronger. I feel as though I have more length in my joints. I am learning to breathe through the sensations of the different poses. My lower back is gaining strength and flexibility, which improves my stamina and makes my life so much more pleasant. I am learning how each yoga class builds to heal my body and mind. When driving, I am able to turn more fully and look behind me when driving in reverse.I am regaining sensations, strength, flexibility and am open to the possibilities that yoga practice is bringing into my life. Peter, Thank you, for guiding me through each yoga practice with an encouraging voice and incremental improvements in my approximation of poses and resulting benefits.Cath (retired school administer) Beverly MA

Ive been developing my Buddhist practice for about 5 years now and finally added yoga. My classes started in January in Zihuatanejo MX and have since migrated here to Yogi Peter Sklivas. A learned and spiritual man, his teachings have been just what I needed. My bones, joints and spirit are glad hes here in Beverly MA.
