6 years ago I slipped on ice, my back and everything inside me felt like it moved out of place and snapped, but never hit the ground. I decided not to go to the hospital, as time passed along I have been in chronic back pain. I went to many different places for help, but they wouldnt. I know its the fact that I am young I am discriminated against because I dont fit the model for someone in chronic pain. The stereotype that everyone my age is out to get money from an accident I was told by many Dr.s and clinicians that they would not help. Apparently there is a certain type of people who can feel and live in chronic pain, I dont fit the look so obviously I am not someone living with pain. I felt like there was not going to get any help, almost gave up. Someone who also also has had back problems recommend this pain management clinic.Right away they took me in, at first it felt like going to every other place I have been, felt like i had to prove that I actually lived with chronic pain. I think most people who look at me dont imagine that from the outside i might look, act, and my demeanor may seem indestructible, but honestly i felt defeated and weak this pain has made me feel many kinds of pain. Specially pain that if you lift or move something the pain flares up and there is nothing to alleviate it.Im actually grateful they were able to see past the stereotypes about who should and who shouldnt feel pain, and Im happy the gave me the help i wanted and needed. They gave offered physical therapy, injections, radio frequency ablation, and finally a back stimulator. I cant thank them enough, Im just happy that they would even consider me. I still live with pain to a certain level, because the damage is there, but it is tolerable. I also would like to thank the representatives from Abbott, and they actually live up to their name.This whole experience has been a long and painful road, but I have received the best care that anyone can ask for. I honestly cant name one person who really stands out, because Im my opinion they are all special in their own way. Even the receptionist before, and after covid. I feel like they gave a better life, may not be the perfect fits all treatment, because pain is interpreted and felt in different ways. I cant imagine any other pain management clinic that took the time to listen and do whats right. I am eternally grateful.

The entire staff are professional, caring and provide exceptional care to all of their patients. Im lucky to be one of those patients. I am dealing with the L4/L5 disc bulge. I worked with Dr. Shah. He was knowledgeable, took his time to understand my issues and provided a treatment plan for my pain. The entire supporting staff was also great. It was a very positive experience.

Going with 4 stars for now. I was at a totally different pain system for 2 years. Ive of the local big hospital systems one. They did NOTHING!!!!!!!!!For two straight yearsThey took office visits, took my money and shuffled me in and out the door without listening to a word I said. I came to north shore pain management and theyve done nothing but work with me and try to help. Dr. Lamonaco listened to everything Ive said but we still havent found anything to help with my pain. I have 3 conditions with chronic pain.They get an A for an actual effort but they will get higher marks when we actually stop doing what Ive already tried and find something that can make me function again.

I have been a patient at North Shore Pain Management since early this year and have found caring people and clinicians who are very skilled. I also found relief from pain, continuous headaches and neck pain. I will continue with this office in the future. Far superior to my prior pain clinic.

NSPM was recommended to me by my Primary Care Dr. I can’t recommend NSPM enough. Every Doctor I’ve had any contact with has been OUTSTANDING. They are all caring, and compassionate as well as “ educators”. All of the front desk staff have been a joy to see and they are quick and efficient at their jobs. Anytime I’ve had any questions, they take the time to give the answer in terms I can understand. Any and all procedures I’ve had done were performed in a very well staffed , clean environment. If you are in need of Pain Management I’d 100% recommend NSPM as your first stop. As long as im in need of their services I’ll continue my care through them.

Shame on me. I was so disappointed when the spinal epidural injection did not provide immediate relief.. Despite having read their paper telling me it would take 3-5 days to kick in. I initially was going to see Dr. Patel, but was told my paperwork was not all done for first patient intake. Settled on seeing Dr. Ori and she did not have the plan right for me in mind after my primary care told me that Dr. Patel would have done the procedure that I had asked for, but I had to reschedule to see this doctor who didn’t want to follow the procedure that I was expecting. She blows for being a doctor and my primary care even made a formal complaint to the state board of health.

The care I receive at North Shore Pain Management from Dr. LoMonaco and Ariana Selby PA has changed my life! I have gone from spending most of my day in severe pain barely able to get out of bed to having a quality of life again. I will never be pain free but through injections, relaxation techniques, alternative therapies and medication my pain is at an acceptable level. I am no longer hopeless & most importantly I am able to enjoy time with my daughter again. The staff at NSPM are very friendly, helpful and caring. Ive been going to pain management here for several years now. The doctors are very attentive caring and compassionate. The goal is settled on you and your pain and making you as comfortable as possible, theyre a really good team.

I was with NSPM for years, unfortunately I had an insurance change and had to leave. Doctor Patel and the others there were always professional and friendly. They worked hard to reduce my chronic pain. I cannot recommend them enough. Its difficult to find pain management doctors that dont start off at a position of thinking the worst of people looking for ways to manage their pain. After how my current place is treating me, it made me realize that the Doctors that treat you with some compassion should be recognized for that. These are such people.

NSPM is a great pain treatment center. The ladies in the front office Vanessa and Sarah make your visits pleasurable. Dr. Ori and her team of nurses do an amazing job. They work a a well oiled machine and their teamwork is impeccable.

I have been a patient since suffering multiple injuries in an accident in 2016. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and all of his staff. They are knowledgeable, caring and make a great team.

I asked for an ASL interpreter, they had a software where they had to upload interpreter but need to get IPAD. I do hope it will work the next time I visit them. I had to bring my interpreter but, overalll they were nice and good.

Practice is amazing. Customer service at its best, reception area folks always cheerful and nice when you come in. Wait time is less than 5 minutes on their busiest days. Procedure room is spotless and staff is very considerate of patients needs. Dr. Patel is super nice and will discuss all options available to help manage and alleviate pain. Follow ups are always scheduled and they check in with patient day after to see if all went well. Highly recommend the practice.

I’ve been working with Dr. Patel and his team for a few years and wouldn’t go anywhere else to manage my chronic back pain. Everyone is really professional and cares about helping there patients.

I have a chronic, debilitating bladder disease that is characterized as more painful than stage 4 renal cancer and is ranked the third most painful disease there is. Due to the CDC guidelines the doctors had to reduce the amount of pain medication I have been prescribed. I am almost to taking the legal dosage of pain medication. However, the doctor wants to continue to decrease the amount of medication I am on. I have begged not to lower it any further due to having the quality of my life being turned upside down and me having to stay bedridden. I thought pain management was organized to manage pain and am living in constant fear that the amount of pain medication that works well for me now will be taken away from me in the future. I am at a loss of what to say that will open the doctors eyes to realize that the dosage of medication I am on should not be lowered due to not having quality of life if/when they do continue to try to lower it.

This is one of the most professional run physicians offices that I have encountered in a long time. Great staff, Dr. Patel is terrific and a great listener.

I have not felt this good in years. I was not able to do any house hold chores but now I was able to do yard work and laundry witch was to painful before I got my shots. Also the best staff ever . Great nurses and Doctors.

Approximately five years ago I went to North Shore Pain Management. Yesterday I received a 4 page letter informing me that my information along with other patients there seeking treatment between April 2014 and April 2020, was breached and to call an iT management company they had hired to take care of the patients whose information had been breached. I was not sure if the letter was legitimate or a scam to I called North Shore Pain Management to double check.I called North Shore Pain Management to verify if the letter was from them. The receptionist who answered confirmed that the breach occurred. I asked her if they were offering any free credit protection because of the breach and she dismissively told me that was why they provided the number of the IT company in the letter because they are handling the breached patient inquiries and would answer my questions. Needless to say, I was not very happy with her cavalier attitude. I asked her why I had to be inconvenienced because they were negligent and now I have to file a police report, call the Attorney Generals office, call the IT management number and write to all three credit bureaus, as their letter suggested and while I was talking to her, she hung up on me.After being hung up by their unpleasant receptionist, I called the IT company and they said because my social security number was not part of the breach ( everything else was, my treatment plan, medical records, name, address, insurance information) they will not offer me any free credit protection.They have been negligent with very personal information and I get nothing for my inconvenience. Do not go there, they do not care about you or your privacy and the person representing their practice is rude.

My experience with North Shore Pain Mgmt. is always a positive one. Appointments run on schedule. My Dr., Anthony LoMonaco, is quite knowledgeable in his field of Pain Mgmt. Works with me as an individual and treats my whole person. Is extremely patient and takes time to answer all my questions. Shows me that I have options. Encourages me to investigate those options and works beside me as I work through them. Never rushes me beyond what I can handle. Makes himself available to me when I need him.Im seeing a PA on my next visit and have no worries about it at all.And KUDOS to the office staff. Competent, helpful and kind.We moved here from TX and I was really nervous about starting over with a new Dr.; especially one in this field. They put all my fears to rest right from the start.Thanks to all of you. You are terrific!

Definitely thankful for Dr Patel and Aryanna. Quality of life is so diminished when dealing with pain, and to have the pain alleviated in some instances and significantly reduced in others allowing more normal everyday activities is a blessing.

One expects top quality medical care and NSPM gives just that. After a fall I have been dealing with chronic pain for a while now and I have seen many doctors trying to get relief from the pain and find a doctor that really seems to understand and is willing to help and work with you to make things more bearable and hopefully some day get my life back to normal or as close to what it was before my injury. The moment you walk into their office you are greeting by the nicest people and they all seem to work hard to help you. Transfered to NSPM from Salem Hospital PM at the referral from my PCP. It was the best decision I have made since being injured 3 years ago. I was afraid to go to PM because I was in extreme pain every time I left there. NSPM addresses my pain levels with care and precaution and Dr. Ori does not do any procedure that she anticipates will cause additional pain. Professional staff and very friendly. I follow up with Ben Crown and he is very much involved in my care. Would highyly recommend anyone dealing with pain to try this team!

Skilled pain management doc. Generally see him most in procedure room. Kind and considerate and will assist w pain management procedures. Can be doc providing actual injections or at the charge position with anesthesia. Very helpful establishment!!

Theyve been very accommodating, and literally tried everything to help. My pain is just intractable I guess. The nurse practitioner Youngun Suh is fantastic, as is all the other staff!

Great staff and very quick at responding to the patients needs A+ in my book when I had a issue with insurance not paying and not notifying me that I have been dropped for my insurance they refuse to retreat me and the treatment I had to have need to be redone every 6 months so because of that I have not been able to return for a year and have had bad issues since so I had changed my reading from five stars to half of that due to the fact that they refuse to treat me because I could not pay them over 2000 almost $3,000 because of the insurance company there are doctors office the medical professionals they burned my nerves told me that I needed to be done every 6 months and left me like that

I have been a patient at NSPM for the past 6.5 years. Dr. Patel and the late Dr. Field helped me right from the start of my visits with compassion, intelligence, and excellent medical care. For the past several years I have also seen Amber Dewey, nurse practitioner, who has been wonderful. She has extensive knowledge about pain and things that help. I have been to other pain management facilities and this one is the best by far because of Dr. Patel, Amber, and the excellent staff. They have all helped me keep working through many surgeries and injuries. The North Shore is lucky to have this practice.

OK, so my wife was hit with a debilitating back spasm that would not quit, it was active for about 2 weeks, she said it was like back labor and completely took her out of commission, no sleep, she could not get comfortable at all, it was awful. She is a television personality and had a very physical 3 day shoot to pull off with 24 hours until start time. We had tried everything over the course of 2 weeks, hundreds of dollars of pain relieving lotions/oinments, pain pads from CVS, anti-inflammatorys, muscle relaxants, CBD ointments, teas, massages, heat, ice, you name it we tried it. We even tried TurboSonic therapy and PEMF (where you lie on a mat with copper coils, releasing endorphins etc). None of them relieved the debilitating pain. I finally called North Shore Pain Management who squeezed us in and recommended a trigger point injection. Dr. Lamanico went in and gave her a direct injection to the spasm site, she felt nothing while the injections was taking place, however within seconds my wife was sitting upright and moving her shoulders again, the result was immediate. She was able to get back to work and the spasm subsided. We cant thank you guys enough!

My experience has been completely positive. Dr. Patel is knowledgeable, compassionate and dedicated to his patients. I see Aryana for follow-up and cannot express how comforting and caring she is. The treatment plan for my chronic pain is specific to my needs and Aryana is willing to make adjustments and changes with the end goal of keeping me functioning as best as possible while addressing my ongoing distress. I feel fortunate to have found such a first-rate, professional practice and without hesitation recommend them to anyone living with debilitating pain.

If you are truly in pain, dont go here. I never underwent any type of physical or functional exam on my first visit nor did I meet with a physician. I was referred to an in-house pain management physician for an extremely painful steroid injection prior to having any current X-rays or other imaging studies. My symptoms worsened after the steroid injection and have remained this way ever since.

In my experience, i do not feel that the doctors and nurse practitioners here adequately monitor their patients. they need to review the cdc guidelines for the prescribing of opioids, and at the same time examine their definition of ethical treatment and care for their patients. if you are considering this practice, please rethink it.

Plain and simple, my quality of life would not be as improved as it is without the help of NSPM and the talented staff that work here.
