Bay State Recovery Services has saved my childs life. When we first walked through the doors of this organization we had no idea what to expect. All we knew was that we were desperate for any help as we were spinning in the chaos of addiction. We were treated with respect and understanding. We received the guidance we needed to step back and try other approaches to helping the addict. I’m so thankful for Baystate Recovery Services. When a loved one is struggling with addiction it is so hard to see how you can possibly help them and not get hurt and caught up in the insanity. Mike facilitated healthy family communication and taught us good habits to cope with our situation. He showed us how to move forward and opened our eyes to the truth of addiction. I can’t say enough positive about our experience working with Baystate recovery services and Mike Wilson. Our daughter was in a perilous situation with drugs and alcohol. If she didn’t get the help she needed I’m afraid she would have ended up dead or in jail. Mike Wilson who has years of personal and professional experience in addiction and recovery, lead us as a family step by step through the process of getting her into rehab and now into an aftercare program. We tried for years working with other professionals trying to get our daughter and family the help that was clearly essential for any forward progress...all to no avail, primarily because we as a family were not working with the right kind of support. In hindsight I see that we were way too close and emotionally involved to help, almost like doctors trying to perform surgery on a loved one..oftentimes we only ended up exasperating the situation. Baystate Recovery Services is an amazing team of people that really care for the families and individuals that they are working with. It is rare to find a group of people that have experienced the dark side and made it out and is able to help people. The team at BRS is able to help a family go through one of the hardest struggles. Addiction is a family disease and anyone that comes in contact with it suffers. BRS is able to guide and support the family through tough decisions and work with the addict to get them the help they need.
