I had contemplated getting plastic surgery for a while. I am so happy to have met Dr. Obeng and his staff. They were very professional and explained everything well. He is very honest and personable. I would definitely suggest him. I cant wait to see the magic he works on my body.

My first hearing of this doctor was the Gorilla Glue experience. Seeing the compassion for a complete stranger made me think. Ive been dealing with an issue more than 20 years and now in a financial status where I can get it taking care of. So I contacted this provider and explained my issue. I was told my issue could be perform by the doctor. I was excited, but that soon turned into disappointment. I scheduled a consultation with the patient coordinator (PC) (dont waste your $). This is when my disappointment began. After a brief conversation with the PC I was told I would receive a call back in 45 minutes. Lets say that turned into a three weeks ordeal. Finally the doctor called me with a 5 minutes conversation advise me to submit some information. I oblige and after a week of no response, I sent a follow-up email. I received an email stating not covered and no other alternative to get my issue corrected. So I sent a response asking for more details and additional options. Lets just say I have not heard back. My message to those do your research before spending your hard earned money at this particular provider. I will regroup and continue to pray and be optimistic I will find someone who can fix my issue. Thank you

Dr. Michael K. Obeng performed a procedure on me about a month ago after 10 Doctors who denied to do surgery on me because they felt uncomfortable to operate on me. He took this case with big love and care and did this operation / major surgery in the best way possible . I don’t have the words to express my appreciation to him. All of His staff was very kind, patient and so beautiful inside and out. Lynda & Shannon always took the time to explain what the next step was and always called to see how I was feeling before and after my surgery.

I have first seen Dr Michael Obeng for a consultation regarding a breathing issue I have been having since a couple of years. His team and office was really welcoming and I felt really comfortable talking to him about my issues. I have went through a few doctors for consultation but nobody made me feel so understood and was so kind to me like Dr O. I have decided to go ahead and choose him to do my surgery on my nose to correct a deviated septum and to remove a small polip I had in my nose as well.My family lives in Hawaii and I found myself by myself after the surgery Dr O and his team was constantly calling and checking on me and since I had no help they took me back to the surgery center and took care of me like family. I am forever grateful for them and my surgery turned out great. I can finally breath like everyone else and I feel like new.I am 1 month post op and feeling great. First off, when I first decided to visit Mikos, my very first experience was very shaky. The staff wasnt professional, the office was pretty ran down(compared to the other facilities i had visited) and Natasha, was very rude. After the doctor finally decided to come out and see me, he kinda eased the tension a little bit. So after a week or two, I finally decided to book my appointment to have my surgery. The only reason I decided to go with Mikos was because a collection of decent reviews, the fact that they accepted my financing, and I was impressed with what Miko had accomplished back home helping his country. So about two weeks later, a day before my surgery, I ran into a friend of mine at an event. I was discussing my surgery with her as I was very excited to finally get my procedure that I had been trying to get done for years because Ive been very insecure about my body . I then mentioned who was doing the surgery and she informed me to NOT TO GO THERE. She was veery adamant about me not going to see Dr, Miko for my procedure. She actually lost out on $3,000 down payment because she decided not to go through with her procedure with this facility.I then became very nervous. I was trusting this doctor with my body and life while my intuition was telling me not too. The only reason I went through with it because they had already charged my care credit $13,000 and I was informed that it could not e reversed by there office. Being excited to finally get the procedure done , I went through with it. Thats where the nightmare begin. So later that day, I went home to shower and noticed that the doctor never completed the surgery that he was informed to complete. I was supposed to receive a gynecomastia procedure,, lipo suction and ab etching! I noticed that the glands in my chest were never removed! I then informed the doctor about my worried and he informed me that he didnt think that they should be removed BUT, I paid them to perform that procedure and we both agreed that it was going to be completed but never was. Also, I had to come out of pocket with an additional $300 for a surgical vest when I was never informed before the procedure that I had to purchase. At this point, I was livid. The main reason why I got the procedure done because I was so insecure about my chest and because the glands were starting to cause me a lot of pain. So I informed the office about my concerns and they eventually got back to me about coming into the office to schedule a revision because I had paid for a procedure that I did not receive. So I had to fly from Atlanta, BACK to LA to see the doctor about my revision. He agreed to do the revision after being seen. I then had to speak with Natasha to do the scheduling of the revision and she informed me that I had to PAY an additional $2,000 that day in order to schedule the revision. I was beyond upset because I was told I had to pay additional money for a procedure that was never completed. The doctors assistant never told me about charging me again for their mistake, so I wasted an additional $600 for a round trip ticket to LA,just to be let down by a doctor I trusted and believed in. I am livid just typing this. So here I am, 4 months after my proocedure, very un happy with the surgery and level of professionalism. Still with the same insecurities and same pain in my chest as before. I would NOT recommend this office to anyone! Due to the lack of professionalism, them performing half surgerys then trying to recharge you for their botched surgery mistake and their lack of communication. Now Im paying a new doctor to complete my surgery the RIGHT WAY!

Its like visiting an old time friend. Best doctor. He gave his opinion on what he thought and came out amazing. I had my consult with my doc and within 2 weeks and had my procedure done. Painless was back up the next day, and would recommend him to my family any day.

This doctor and his now ex wife who was his practice manager are very negative unhelpful money hungry people. He Burnt my skin from a chemical peel and I til this day continue to suffer post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. I asked for a refund for the botched treatment so I can cover the costs of going to another dr to fix the problem however his ex wife Veronica continued to argue with me and treat me like a problem even though there was clear evidence of my skin being completely burnt. I didnt get a refund and I live with burnt skin. Save your money go to someone who will advise you and treat you correctly and treat you like a human being not a money machine.

My experience was a nightmare first off I went in to get a breast augmentation and a tummy tuck I gave them a deposit then I changed my mind and I was told that I cannot get my money back and that I can only use the deposit or my surgery and nothing else. I contacted my bank so I get my money back then that's when Shannon convince me to get the RF treatments because they will help with my hyperpigmentation. Come to find out RF treatments are just for skin tightening these people are money hungry people and they will use your insecurities to make more money always do your research and never trust whatever they're selling or putting in front of you especially Shannon that woman is a liar and a manipulator I will never recommend this place to anyone

They botched my breast then tried to charge me 3000 more to fix what he messed up. Not to mention he gave me a “dog ear” and it hurts and I told him I think there is a stitch that is left inside he told me to massage it. Now 6 months later I have scar tissue and it turned out to be a stitch under my skin. My breast are now dramatically uneven in size and all he said was “well I’m not god”. They were close in Symmetry pre op. Now they are different in cup size and my areolas are noticeably different in size. I don’t recommend them to anyone.

I found Dr. Obeng on Instagram and reached out for a few questions. He answered all my questions thoroughly and patiently. I felt comfortable asking any question without feeling like I was an inconvenience unlike with other plastic surgeons Ive encountered. He had an extremely easy going demeanor that made me feel very comfortable asking about procedures I wanted without a hard sell. I ended up getting a breast augmentation (BA) and the results look amazing. I was able to get back to work 3 days after my surgery. Both Dr. Obeng and Shannon checked on me post surgery. I felt very cared for and felt like I was treated like family. He was extremely professional and humble. If I need more procedures down the road I am going back. Hands down the best customer service Ive ever had.

I wish I could say the best things but it wasnt what I expected. shanon was such a great lady, gave me good options and prices. After surgery Had complications , was at the hospital and ended up with really bad scar, wounds all over surgery and 3 infections. After couple follow ups nothing got solved.i had to pay another surgeron to fix up everything . Contacted Mikos plastic surgey personnel and none gave me a solution. billing lady contacted me tried explaining and got no solution. Now professional help will be involved and will be getting a CT scann to makre sure I have a mesh since insurance paid alot. Not worth all the pain I have gone through . Law will be involved so people think twice before going into surgery. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE

Linda, the receptionist, greets you with a big smile and welcomes you to the office. The patient coordinator, Shannon, makes you immediately feel like you are part of the family. She has an answer to every question, and she makes the whole process seamless. Shannon lets you know each and every cost associated with the procedure and how to make it financially affordable. She is the best! Cherrelle, the billing coordinator, ensures that any billing issues are addressed, and that there are no surprises where billing is concerned. This is extremely important when choosing a surgery center. Oscar, Dr. O’s main surgery assistant, has a bedside manner that immediately puts you at ease. He makes you comfortable and takes any fear away. Then there is Dr. Freeman, the anesthesiologist, he will put you sleep and you don’t even know he’s putting you to sleep! One minute, he’s talking to you about the weather…next thing you know, you’re waking up and it’s all over! I’ve never met anyone quite like him! The whole office staff at Miko is the absolute best!!!! If you are looking for just a touch up, or a full body makeover, Miko should be your first and last stop! Go see for yourself!!!
