I drove from Glendale, CA to see the highly recommended surgeons at Los Angeles Colon & Rectal Associates. Worth the drive because I don’t want to waste my time testing several doctors. Was recommended to them by several people. They are excellent at identifying patient concerns, strategic with a comprehensible plan of attack to address each health issue discussed.

Dr. Hoffman was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I never felt like the appointments were rushed compared to so many other doctors in Los Angeles. Its clear he and his staff of nurses care about their patients. Highly Recommend Dr. Hoffman as your Colorectal Surgeon.

I was initially seen by Dr. Hoffman. He was running a bit behind because he was helping other patients but he apologized and was very kind, thorough and was an all around great doctor. Since my surgery in September, I have been seen by Dr. Capiendo for 2-3 follow ups and she is awesome! Dr. LeFave is always kind & understanding, fun and very thorough with her work. She always lets me ask as many questions as I want and express any concerns that I may have. I feel 100% safe in her care and she has already helped me treat several of my major issues, which include a fissure and endometriosis on the rectum. Highly recommend Los Angeles Colon & Rectal.

What a racket. This health care provider is full of scam artists. They tried billing my insurance $72,623 for a routine outpatient service! I was initially quoted by LA Colon - Dr. Gary Hoffman - that the all in cost for the surgery would be less than $600 out of pocket. There were no complications or extra services rendered during the procedure.I was forced by LA Colon to reach out to each service provider to receive quotes for the total cost. Side note, the fact that my insurance and I would be giving LA Colon thousands of dollars for this procedure and they couldnt even spend 5 minutes putting together a formal all-in quote is insane and a huge red flag. I should have left their office immediately.When I contacted La Peer (the surgery center), they told me their service fee was $340.20. I made this payment at the surgery center the day of my procedure. I was then billed a further $68 by their pharmacy when I left, for painkillers - again was not included in all the quotes I had received. A month later, I received another bill for $170 for unknown costs. Literally, the invoice just said Balance Due - $170.00. I went ahead and paid it figuring it was a remaining balance. I should have been more diligent, but healthcare is trash in America and I wasnt shocked to receive a surprise bill.THEN another month later I received AN ADDITIONAL $102.80 bill from La Peer - W.T.F. This doesnt include the other $40, $40, $167.65, $161.00 Ive paid out to LA Colon. What was supposed to be a less than $600 outpatient procedure has cost me $987, plus a $102.80 outstanding collections notice. Find another provider for your procedure! There are literally hundreds in LA County, dont let yourself be taken advantage of. La Peer, LA Colon, and Dr. Gary Hoffman are crooks!

I have had nothing but great service from Dr. Firoozmand and his staff. They see you on time and help you in any way they can. Lets face it visiting a doctor is not fun, but they make a pleasant experience.

Super bad experience with the staff charging extra fees. They don’t want to explain and they say you and your insurance don’t need to understand. :(

All the doctors here are really great specifically Dr. Hoffman and Dr. Capiendo. I visited the clinic twice and both times the wait was not bad at all. They made sure all my questions and concerns were answered. I feel very comfortable and confident in their skills (especially for a sensitive area in the body). All my needs were definitely attended to and Im all better now! I would not want to go anywhere else. I am truly thankful for their expertise and tender care!

I called this office after presenting with symptoms at the urgent care center in Beverly Hills. I called this office and was treated quite rudely by a receptionist who had zero interest in my issues told me I would receive a call back- I never received a call. I specified that the matter was urgent and that I was in quite a bit of pain. Cedars-Sinai Hospital is supposed to be one of the finest institutions of its kind in the world, bar none. People are literally dying to have healthcare like this across the world. When I called back and suggested that I should probably use the physicians referral service since I was not getting any attention from this office, I was dismissed and hung up on. I left a message with the office manager who called me back and was very very polite, but seemed to want to blame the problem on the receptionist and not on a systemic problem in his own office. Worse than a failure is someone who in authority blames those below him. At the end of the day I dont know that I would trust this doctor, run by that office, to cut me open with a scalpel. Why should I? At this point who knows if this doctor is any good? I will say this, if the support staff below the doctor is faulty their talent is wasted in my mind anyhow. I suggested the Dr. should call me back herself, that hasnt happened either.

Called with a simple general question about participating in a physical activity after THD hemerroid procedure and I was told I needed an appointment.Really?Such BS...It seems the Drs/administrators @lacolon are only interested in patient billing...is that the kind of person you want doing surgery on your most fragile region?!Not to mentiom, who wants to lose 2-3 hours of work to pay more money FOR A SIMPLE Question to be answered?!A general respose would have taken less than 30 seconds :-/
