This is based on my current visit to during covid issues. So consider taking this with a grain of salt. The store is relatively empty not much is available. My visit also consisted of a huge section of the store filled with massive boxes closed and no use. I believe I came at a tough time when the store is reestablishing itself. The store is covid friendly in the sense that the store is clean and well distenced. However that aside their was some surprisingly good stuff for really cheap. Staff is chill and relaxing environment. A bit slow but im assuming the young man at the register is new and still figuring it out. Thats it till now, expect an update to this in further detail.

These folks make it seriously difficult to donate, then make you feel horrible for trying to donate anything because you brought disallowed items they provided no guidance on until you arrive. Why have a website with a list of acceptable donations if you wont maintain it, or worse, provide conflicting information?Pulled up to drop off my donations next to a truck with five employees unloading. I started to get my donations out and was scolded for not waiting for them to finish the truck. Waited for a long while for the truck to be unloaded, while other cars formed a line. Others trying to donate were scolded as well, told to get back in their cars and not get anything out until they were told.Lots of my items were rejected. I mentioned that some of the rejected items were listed as accepted on the website and suggested they update it. Instead, I was handed a pamphlet and was told I could always check the door to see what was allowed. One woman, about five cars back who had been told to wait her turn, tried to walk to the door and check the list, as lots of folks were being turned away, to make sure her items would be accepted. One employee yelled at her to get away from the door and return to her car. Dont tell people to check the door only to yell at them when they try to.I suggest you find another charity to donate to instead of these folks.

By far my favorite Goodwill in the area. Staff are very friendly and they have the best assortment of knick knacks. Their prices are relatively fair and the store is always well organized in comparison to other Goodwills.

This store stole money from me. They charged me more for a few t-shirts and as i was still at the counter i realized it was wrong and brought it to their attention. they called a manger and they advised i was correct so I said i would just take my cash back and they told me no refunds. I said this wasnt a refund it was a mistake on their end. They proceeded to tell me that they could only offer store credit, i said I did not want store credit only my cash. I even asked them if they had a key to open the register and they said no. I will never go back to that store.

Over the years my family has donated countless items to goodwill in Bethlehem. It has only been the last 2 Trips that we have experienced an issue. The last time I brushed it off as ignorance but it happened again today. Every year we clean out and gather items for donation. We go out of our way to wash, dry, fold and organize clothing into men’s, women’s, kids groups, and some of the items donated are brand new with the tags on them. We take pride in what we are donating as we support the cause to help others. Today upon arriving a young man with glasses immediately walked over to my truck and began scanning my haul. He began unloading the bags of clothing (6) and then suddenly started inspecting a few things. He looked at a few rolled up table displays and said “ we don’t take those, look they have stains on them, we only accept items we can sell”. I was annoyed and offended at the same time, so I asked him if he could dispose of them for me since he basically said they were no good and he responded to me to take my own garbage. Not only did he insult me, he finished taking the rest of my items and walked away back into the store. When I returned home I looked at the items he would not accept (2 items), the stains he was referring to were not in fact stains but rather the ink bleeding through the back of the design. Anyway we have decided to stop donating to Goodwill, and scheduled a pickup online with Purple Hearts as we still had 2 more trips of items to donate. I will never again donate to these folks again, and I will encourage my friends and other family members to do the same. It appears it’s all about the money to them. How can you be so rude and disrespectful to people who are donating free items to your cause? I completely understand some folks try to drop off junk and garbage so there is a need to inspect the items but perhaps these workers need some training on how to be professional and courteous to good people. Over 2 items this 1 worker has lost a family that generously has donated to them over the past 10 years.

Ive been donating clothes to Goodwill for 30+ years including 2 years to this particular location. No problem before today, everyones been friendly & helpful. Today, I came with 4 bags of my clothes & 5 bags for my Girlfriend (who was with me), so I asked for 2 receipts (2 separate set of taxes are done). The rude woman taking the clothes refused, saying 1 receipt per car. Really? For all these years I got 2 receipts if needed. I could have gone back another day, but its a 1 hour round trip from my house. She said shed write the receipt for 7 bags clothes +2 bags shoes. I asked instead for the more accurate 8+1. She thought I was lying (again, does it make a Real difference?!), so she went outside & asked my Girlfriend, who said 1 bag shoes. This lady needs another job, instead of insulting people who are donating big bags of high quality clothes twice a year. In any case, Goodwill will never see me again. Now, itll be Vietnam Vets for all my donations.

Goodwill does good things for a lot of people in our communities. I buy items sometimes here, but rarely clothing, as the clothing is sometimes higher prices for worn out clothes. At times, theres clothes here for the same price as they are in department stores... and these are used items already. Other than that, its a good place that does good things for others less fortunate.

Called ahead to see if they could help us to unload a dresser that we wanted to donate, they said that was fine. When we arrived, they turned us away, said they had no room. The woman was extremely rude and walked away while I was still speaking to her.If you want to donate, try Friends of James at on Route 191/Linden Street just north of Route 22. They were very pleasant and more of a charity, as opposed to the business that Goodwill has turned into.

The purchase side may be very nice, but I have donated twice here and been stunned at how rude and ungrateful the people working here are. They act as though they are doing you a favor and seem to think you are trying to put something over on them. I would recommend another charity or location if convenient.

I like the location of this store and it does have a great selection of home goods, but the toys tend to be very messy. Which Im sure is part customer but they throw little toys into bags when they could take some time to separate them into the same kinds so your not getting stuff you dont want. Also it is very hard to find anything but old, non- name brand clothes. Im not sure if their not getting good donations or if the employees are getting first picks. I used to volunteer at a much smaller thrift store and we would get much more name brand items. Also the prices can be a bit high and you barely find a color on sale. Example they had a Peppa Pig kids tent for $10. These run $15-20 retail. I went back 2 weeks later and its still not on sale. Or a Walmart tank too should only be $2 at the most since it is on clearance for $3 at the end of the season. Maybe they should price stuff individually rather than one straight price. I thought thrift stores were to use a 1/3 pricing range of the retail price.

Second time I have been turned away with donations. This time I called first and described what I had and was told no problem they would accept it. When I arrived at the back door donation center I was rudely told that we are not accepting no furniture when I told her that I called and was told small furniture was ok, I was told again, rudely, well they should check with me first. I told her fine I dont have time for your games, and Im sure the Salvation Army will be glad to accept my items. She said fine Im sure they will. I would suggest that Goodwill invest in some customer service training for your back door personnell. This experience turned me off from considering Goodwill for any future donations or shopping.

I purchased an item on 11/30/17 and went into the store today (12/7/17) to make a return. The employee named Britney (sp?) cattily said “I can’t do this, there’s 31 days in November”. I told her there’s actually 30 days in November which would make today the 7th day since my purchase (Goodwill’s return policy is within 7 days of purchase). Without acknowledging her mistake, she then says “well, I count 11/30 so you’re still too late”. She eventually did the return, but was rude throughout the entire transaction. The selection is quite average compared to the other Goodwills I have been to, but I’ve definitely scored some treasures here at a very reasonable price. They also carry some salvaged items from the Target home section, which I enjoy very much.

Mens selection is slim, lots of stained shirts, mostly crappy labels. Been to other GW who have better labels.Tie selection is way overpriced, most GWs are $1.97. $7 for Tommy Hilfiger with stains, many other ties stained too and overpriced. Store was over packed with junk tables, dingy not well lit.You either have to get on your knees to see the mens suit jacket selection or stand on a ladder to see others???? Seemed to have lots of mens pants arranged nicely. Overall it was disappointing.
