It took some doing to get the ball rolling with the final details before delivering my moms wheelchair, but when the specifics were all ironed out, the delivery went smoothly and efficiently. The driver, Frank, who delivered my mothers β™Ώ was actually the best part of the whole experience with Adapt Health and Youngs Medical Equipment. He was so helpful and patient when showing me how to disassemble parts on the β™Ώ and the best way to place it in my car. He also emphasized some safety points to make sure all the accessories locked in place before using it. Overall, it was a positive experience. Sometimes it takes some follow up calls to make certain the patient, in this case my mom, doesnt get lost in the paperwork shuffle. But Ill give a πŸ‘ for the overall experience!

My husband left rehab needing a wheelchair. Young Medical was the company recommended to supply the wheelchair. While I thought our insurance covered the purchase of the wheelchair (with applicable co-pay) I was wrong - it was only a rental. I only found out about this when an Enterprise rental van pulled into the drive way and the driver was her to collect their asset - the wheelchair. The young man was kind and understanding. That’s where the positives ended. I received no notice prior to the van pulling up. They never contacted me. Not once. When I called the company I was told the β€œDispatch made the decision to make blind pick ups”. I know I made a mistake by not realizing it was a rental and not a purchase but to just show up to leave a handicap man with no wheelchair is unconscionable. I called the next day and paid off the rental. What if this was someone’s oxygen?

My husband’s hospital bed was delivered on the day it was scheduled to arrive. The many parts were brought in and assembly started quickly. The technician had no problems putting it together and after assembly he showed me how to operate the controls. He then suggested that I should try it so I would be familiar with it.Very good experience, I’d use this company again if needed. The technician was polite, helpful, and very nice. Thanks.

The wheelchair was ordered for my mom while she was in the hospital. The day she was discharged from the hospital and was home for about an hour, we received a call from ADAPTEC scheduling the delivery of the wheelchair. We received the new chair this morning within the estimated window for delivery. Van driver called to let me know he was on his way. Wheelchair is really durable but at the same time lightweight and easy for me to lift into my SUV. The company was fast and very efficient is customer service and satisfaction. I am very pleased with their service and utmost professionalism. Thank you!

Possibly the worst experience ever. Partner has been trying to get a wheelchair for the past two months. Prescriptions have been sent. Paperwork and records were sent. Then, finally in July, they demand extra documentation. It was faxed, as they continually demanded instead of having it mailed or dropped off.Today they say that it doesnt matter, it now has to be sent through their new online portal.If you need any medical supplies, go with literally any other company. These people will lose paperwork, never follow up, and then blame you.

Got a call from them in April about renewing c-pap supplies. Told the representative to go ahead and reorder. He asked me if I would like to try a new system for cleaning my supplies. That it would be 64.00 a month for four months. Said I would like to try it. He stated it would be sent out and I would receive it in about 20 days. That was over 12 weeks ago. I have been charged twice. Still have not received the item. Left messages with no return call. Guess next step is to call bank to dispute the charges. Ridiculous! Very poor customer service!

I was going to ask the rep a few questions but never got the opportunity because once I started talking about the cpap he immediately released the call, and I wasn’t even rude or anything. Very smooth service and interaction.Before I was released from the hospital in mid-January, the nurse said that Youngs would be dropping off a oxygen unit at my apartment and sure enough the machine and backup tanks were in the bedroom when I got home! After being released from using oxygen, I scheduled a pickup and the driver was true to the time frame.The only issue I encountered was when replacement oxygen was delivered to me the first time. I wasnt clear on how to switch tanks and the problem was that the one who delivered replacements had limited English. Zero stars. I have had issues with this medical supplier since day one of getting my CPAP machine. Always an issue from getting my cpap settings right which that they control, wrong cpap supplies shipped, and not calling me back when I leave messages. Now with this cpap recall, I havent gotten one bit of assistance. Further more I find out that this company has not billed my insurance for my cpap and my insurance has no record of my cpap machine so they wont cover anything for my cpap needs. Outrageous! IVE ALREADY REGISTERED MY MACHINE WITH PHILLIPS and when I did contact them they said they do not have information about replacing my defective cpap machine, not to expect a placement anytime soon and to call my supplier. I have been patient but my health is at risk and Ive gotten no assistance from this company. VERY disappointing.

My husbands doctor ordered a wheelchair for him. Since he is overweight they ordered a Bariatric wheelchair. After repeated calls for an entire month they finally got the thing here today. It is 36 in width, so is our front door and our bathroom door. So it does not fit. I called Youngs Medical and they do not have a smaller bariatric chair so they cannot get us anything else. This is why old people are rolling around their houses in office chairs that are not stable, because the people at these Medical Supply places dont have any common sense and Medicare has to have an iron clad contract to pay a few bucks a month for wheelchair rental. Really a $500.00 wheelchair for 13 months should cost about $38.46 a month. If everyone is being honest and not jacking the price to screw the insurance. I guess I have to pay that on my credit card to get him a sensible, safe chair.

Youngs Medical Equipment was a really good company; not so much anymore. Since they were purchased by AdaptHealth, I tried calling their Bethlehem number several times and ended up reaching a call center overseas. It was impossible to understand them and the call quality was horrendous. Youre better off going to the location in person, rather than calling. The employees at the Emerick Blvd location are still there and they are very helpful, but its only a matter of time before AdaptHealth screws that up too. I think its time I start shopping for a new medical supply company.

Dealing with Youngs Medical, more accurately AdaptHealth who does the billing has been an absolute nightmare. Now, the local individual who met us at the hospital from Youngs Medical was very friendly and nice. That experience was fine and I feel bad that Youngs Medical is receiving bad reviews based on their billing/AdaptHealth but this process is ridiculous. The billing is a total mess. We received a piece of medical equipment in September 2019. The first bill from AdaptHealth that we received was in January 2020. We realized that the bill had not been submitted to our insurance properly (we were being billed for the FULL amount), so we called to correct this. And then...we continued receiving the same bill over and over, STILL not submitted to insurance properly, despite that fact that we called AdaptHealth OVER AND OVER to correct this. Every time, the person on the phone was perfectly cordial, but still the problem was never fixed despite us calling almost TEN TIMES from January 2020 until October 2020 (and no, that is NOT an exaggeration). We have records and dates of phone calls and nothing was fixed. Finally they started threatening collections, to which I wrote a long letter to the collections agency (and never heard anything back). FINALLY, we receive a bill that has been submitted through insurance sometime around this September (2020). We paid it without realizing that, since we had called to fix the insurance issue throughout the year, the date of service was listed as random dates in March/April of 2020, NOT September of 2019 when we actually received the equipment. So now (Nov. 2020) AdaptHealth has sent us ANOTHER BILL for the date of September 2019 and is claiming we have not paid our bill. This bill included a letter. The letter stated that the credit card that we gave them (in Sept 2019) would be charged. The letter was dated 11/12, we received it in the mail 11/18 and in the body of the letter it said the card would be charged by 11/5 (11/5!!! That had already passed...) if they did not receive payment. Luckily they are so bad at their jobs that the card was NOT charged yet. We called Friday 11/20/2020 and were told we would receive a call back from a supervisor/manager, it is now end of business Monday 11/23/2020 and we did not receive any calls. We are considering contacting a lawyer about this because we do not know what else to do when a company is simply incompetent.

Quite possibly THE worst company ever, especially when it comes to billing. Even my healthcare system said they are considering dropping them due to constant issues. For over a year now they have tried to scam me by: Billing me for equipment never sent out (Or even ordered by me), telling me my last payment was in April, yet im still getting invoices (Which is why i turned off my auto-pay), and their sales reps (Almost to the point of harassment) used to keep calling me saying that i am due for new equipment At no cost - insurance covers it, then send an invoice. One star is too much!! It seems that Youngs Medical Equipment and Adapthealth dont communicate! We receive bills from Youngs and letters about payment from Adapthealth. Instructed both companys not to automatically deduct payment from our bank account. Spoke with a person on the phone and they said, they dont even have our information on file. Two days later they automatically deducted almost $300.00. A few days after, a bill came in the mail for the exact same amount they deducted!We receive bills to pay for supplies and they also bill our health insurance company for supplies. Very confusing why some supplies are billed to insurance and others are not.Also, requested to return the CPAP machine because we had the same exact model at home. We asked them to calibrate the CPAP machine that we owned so we did not have to continue to pay monthly for the one they supplied. Called and requested the company to send a return label for return of the equipment. Along with the label, they sent a return equipment disclosure stating that the CPAP machine was being returned against medical advice, patient did not use the machine, insurance would not cover/reauthorize the machine, and the patient did not want to purchase the machine for continued therapy! None of these statements are true or accurate. Why should we have to continue to pay for a machine when we have the same one?!From the very first day, not one person has been friendly or professional at either company. From the person who helps you with setting up the machine to billing. Will be talking to the doctor to recommend another company to deal with. Very frustrating!!

When we initially ordered my husbands bipap machine, they told us it was going to be a specific price each month (around $7) for the rental fee after an initial set up cost of $43.64. Last month they charged us $256.87 and today we received a bill for $404.36. I guess you can just decide to change the price when peoples lives depend on your equipment?? And they already have our credit card info since we assumed we would be paying only the price they quoted us. We returned the machine and will be disputing the $404 charge if they try it. Avoid this company unless you want to be gouged. They just charged me again another $500, with no explanation. They are scammers & thieves. I complained to my Dr. at LVHN and he said that AdaptHealth/Young’s Medical now have a horrible reputation and plan to stop recommending them. They will keep billing you for bogus charges. Stay away.

My BiPAP was 100% covered by my insurance since youngs medical is in network....that is until some slick billing work on the part of youngs medical causing only 80% of it to be paid by insurance since their parent LLC billed it and they werent in my network. The bill came almost a year later from youngs but my insurance had it listed as a different LLC. So I pay youngs medical money on top of what my insurance paid to their parent LLC. Very fishy, they also call non stop for resupply at least once or twice a week if not more.Edit: was contacted by adapt health and informed that it should have been 100% covered and that I would hear from billing shortly about a refund...still no call 3 days later. Not holding my breath, this will remain a 1 star review until they call back.Edit 2: we are contacting you to let you know we accidentally used you information to bill someone else wheel chair, still no resolution for what generated this bad review...forever a one star review would rate zero or negative starts if possible.Edit 3: Finally received a check for the cpap billing, finally stopped receiving 2-3 calls a week from them. Review stays a 1 star due to sheer negligence in billing me for someone elses wheelchair which I never would have known about if it werent for this review.

I need oxygen 24/7, my husband called to have the tanks exchanged and they say tomorrow when they supposed to have according with St Luke’s 24/7 service. That is so sad, especially for the people that really need the oxygen like me. I had Severe covid and now I depend of oxygen to move around my house.

Amazing experience with this company! Customer service rep was super helpful and kind in the hospital. Provided clear instruction and further help if needed once at home. They made it easy to return our rental and picked it up from my home. Took care of all insurance paperwork for me. Highly recommend them for any medical equipment!!!

I received and then promptly returned several cpap supplies in their original packaging. The customer service person who called me for this reorder said these items were covered by insurance but they were not. Well one month later and again two months later, I received bills for these returned items, each time I sent a note with the payment slip explaining these had been returned. Then I called the billing department.. Luckily, I kept the tracking receipt because at first the customer service (based in Asia) claimed they had not received them! Then after a 12 minute wait, the ESL customer service person tells me it was received (5 weeks ago) but no one yet had checked the package. What a Horrible business.
